  1. Been reading some of the later posts above me.

There's not really much comparison of AR to Luck in passing. Luck was a much more accomplished passer than what AR is currently.

Though  Luck also had size and mobility, his athleticism is not nearly what AR is.

What I like about AR and think could make him elite and our best QB since manning  is he is intelligent and eager to put in the work to be the best he can be. And with that hunger and ambition to improve his craft, along with the freakish god given talent he has, I really think he may turn out to be great.

Props to Morocco Brown, Steinchen, and Ballard for recognizing his potential and drafting him. I think they gambled not trading up to #3 and risked another team jumping them but fortunately it worked out and Ballard got to keep all his picks.Lol.

  2. I didn't vote Young or Stroud because I seriously doubt they will be a option.

I voted I hope they draft AR15 despite he probably won't start soon and may be a complete Bust.

But he will be interesting and exciting with potentially huge upside.

I voted colts will draft Levis, which I am not against like so many orhers.

I actually think Hooker has a better chance of being a Colt over AR15, Stroud, or Young.

Especially since I heard Vegas thinks Levis may go #2?

A lot of folks on this board were with me on the Herbert express. I get the Buckner deal, which we later pulled off. It made sense. But wow! How different would the Colts have been over the past few years, had we moved up and taken Herbert?

It took me forever to dig this thread back up. A lot of folks hit on Herbert too. I only remembered it being a few, but there were many with me on this. Some excellent back and forth’s in this old thread.

    Good call bro.

Calls like this make me chuckle when some say that fans/posters don't know jack compared to the experts(GM's).

As far as me, I wasn't that high on Herbert. I thought Ballard would maybe draft Love, who I didn't know much about.

He needs to find that 3 WR. Not Dulin either.  Fans and media have been screaming about this since 2018.

    Especially JMV!

God let's hope he doesn't to both of those. Needs to trade Taylor soon while there is still value.

It's a difficult decision when a star RB's rookie deal is up and he deserves the big contract BUT you know that most likely his best days are behind him.

    Zeke is a great example.

Honestly I think its the HC. I have nothing to back that but I feel like he is running out of time in Baltimore.

Also since Ozzie left it feels like they have been on a slight decline since.

    I totally agree.

Something is not right in Baltimore, not just the Not resigning the Lamar Jackson thing. I think their best days are behind them for awhile. As far as Harbaugh, he gave away 2 games by not kicking the PAT and going for two, among other things. He may not be coaching in Baltimore for long and then he'll be a Hot Signing for a team with a opening. Who knows, maybe his brother will coach the Ravens? haha

I think the Bengals will contend for the division for the foreseeable future with the Steelers improving and the brownies with Watson. Rarely, four teams are good in a division, and the Ravens will be the odd team out.....just a feeling/hunch. Hope I'm wrong cause I like Baltimore and the Ravens.

Baltimore is not the same since Polock Johnny's closed down on The Block, lol.

By far the Best Hot Dog joint I've ever been to. :funny:

This is spot on!!! Ready made EXCUSES for a guy who has accomplished absolutely nothing as gm. The national media has gotten OFF his train but some on this board swear by him. I guess it's based on his "polished" talk on team building because HIS approach / philosophy has this team FALLING further and further back in the NFL landscape. Now according to Ballard there's not a qb worth moving up for. Not surprising because he thought the same of Allen, Herbert, Jackson and Mahomes* to name a few as teams moved up to snag their franchise guy DURING Ballard's lackluster tenure. Meanwhile Ballard has CHOSEN the uninspiring carousel of Tolzien, Hoyer, Brissett, Rivers, Wentz and Ryan. Yikes! This is also coming from the SAME guy that saw enough in Eason and the low ceiling Ehlinger to draft them?!! What have our draft picks under Ballard REALLY gotten us anyway related to CONTENTION or winning?

Take his four BEST picks in that long SIX YEAR span and what do you REALLY have? A guard in Nelson and lb in Leonard who BOTH are some of the HIGHEST paid at their NON premium positions. Both looked like a shell of themselves last season after MULTIPLE surgeries. Can they bounce back fully? Hopefully for the team's sake.

JT was a HIGH MILEAGE rb coming out of college which is one reason why his stock dropped in the draft. Now he IS the offense in Indy and starting to show wear which in turn led to him having ankle surgery THIS offense. Pittman is a big possession type receiver who would be a two on MOST teams if not a three on some but he just happens to be our wr1. Moving forward will the Colts pay both handsomely in the near future? We have a top rb in a passing league and a borderline upper tier receiver in a landscape of explosive ones. Who knows but NOTHING will change until Irsay decides to move from the house that's built on quicksand as the Colts continue to slowly sink into IRRELEVANCY.

    Excellent post.

And I'll add if he drafts a QB at #4, he'll get another three seasons to fail because of the built in excuse of having a rookie QB at the helm.

  7. ....complaining about Ballard not being active early in FA is fun because we're used to it AND EXPECT IT....and we know what type of organization this is and where it's going.

But is it really Ballads Fault???

Isn't Ballard doing what Irsay wants him to?

Save him money and lucrative signing bonuses?

If Irsay wasn't happy with the way Ballard operates, things would change and/or Ballard would have been fired by now.

Bottom line is Ballard has been saving Irsay lots of money these last 7 years and if the colts aren't going to be serious contenders why waste money on expensive FA's?

Ballard is doing his job and doing it well....(keeping the colts Irrelevant).

It is what it is and if/when it changes, then I will believe it and only then.

Remember, Don't pay attention to what the colts say, pay attention to what they do.

  8. I'm waiting for Ballads supporters to say "Free Agency hasn't officially started yet and you be complaining about no signings"?

Then next week "Free Agency isn't over! There are still some players left to sign".

Then a week later "I'm sure glad Ballard doesn't overpay".

            haha

  9. No, I wouldn't.

Though a mobile threat.at QB is very desirable, so is a QB that can pass downfield accurately and have vision and read defenses and have command at the line of scrimmage, in fact more so.

Not sure Fields will ever progress to what I hear Bryce Young already is above the neck.

If the colts can't get Young and aren't high on Stroud or Levis than maybe trade a second rounder for him or draft AR15.

This goes beyond talent. This is a  Broken team where players have given up.

The OL pass protection issues have been going on now for two full seasons, since Polians  LT retired and Griggs Center's(Kelly) play has gone south. I don't disagree the team is broken, but both the team and OL are broken and Ballard is a major part of that.

I just hope SamE. doesn't get hurt serious in the last game of the season. So far, colts QBs have been fortunate to not be seriously injured the last two seasons.

Luck got out just in time.

I was getting food and saw that on the television monitor. Foles did not appear to be hit that hard but he appeared to be shaking on the field. It made me turn away.

What is the update on Foles?

Its a rib injury.. Foles is lucky its not more serious. All colts qb's  this season are lucky they aren't permanently broken behind ballards OL.

No coincidence the biggest melt down in super bowl history is at the hands of Matt Ryan.

No coincidence that just a few weeks ago we had historic lows in offensive production

No coincidence that we went from a top 10-15 offense the last 5 years to almost dead last

No coincidence that Matt Ryan single handedly flipped out turnover differential from one year to the next

No coincidence that Matt Ryan couldn't score in the second half.

No coincidence that Matt Ryan can't throw past 20 yards anymore.

Team has issues. Organization has issues. Matt Ryan is the biggest wart on the team.

So your saying.you.want Matt.Ryan back in '24, right???    :funny:

@LJpalmbeacher2 is somewhere yelling about conspiracies right now. :D

There's no such.thing as conspiracy or wrong doing by humans...... We all know how honest everyone and everything is. And we all know the high integrity of the dolphins & brownies owner.

Its all rainbows and candy canes.

Btw, how are you enjoying another colt season??

Today the Biggest collapse in.NFL History. Lol

  14. This is one of the few games I tuned in to see this season other than colts. I'm enjoying it...you guys probably remember how much I wanted Ballard to draft willis....and then he fell to late 3rd round and still we didn't get him.

Regardless how he turns out its disappointing he's not a colt and wasn't given a chance with us.

Anyway lets.enjoy the game from two good, well coached teams.
