How did we deal with that Grigson guy for so long? It’s like night and day.

    Ballard <3

Time will tell but I like the feel of Ballard's colts.  He's a collaborator, seems to welcome input from all levels and his coaching hires reflect that.  Varied and overlapping experience, this is a braintrust.  It feels open and honest,  the fact that we don't even have a specific "qb coach" signifies to me that this is a going to be collaberaive regime.  Conversely, Grigson seemed a petty tyrant who confused input with dissent.  His coaching staff reflected that.  Tight, conservative, ever changing, and incapable of growth or adaptation. Like I said, time will tell but I like where we're headed......

Ballard, "Soon".....with a beat your butt his is smirk!!!

I agree with your assessment.  With the way Ballard has been talking/smirking, I think (hope) Andrew is farther along in his progression than we know.

Still not sure how or why My positive attitude was attacked

It actually happens all the time PT.  But fret not, there's this dude out there that constantly reminds us that "everything will be ok".  As long as he's out there.......we'll be ok (although I wonder sometimes how he can be so sure).  All forum discussions are a "take it with a grain of salt" type affair.  As I'm sure you well know.......

  4. Warning:  wild speculation mixed with optimism, may not be suitable for some fans.......I think Luck is fine, he's out of the woods working on rebuilding his throwing mechanics from the ground up.  They have the luxury of time so why minimize the returns by "skipping a step"?   I also believe it serves the organization to project doubt up until draft day.  So they're walking a line between trying to keep us positive while projecting to the rest of the league that the Colts may be forced to take a qb at 3.

Tangent:  How cool would it have been if, while the media was focused Reich's intro speech, the doors behind them burst open.  Luck entered and yelled "hey coach" and threw a bullet pass to Reich (which he caught of course).......then confetti rained from the ceiling. Irsay gets to his feet, raises both fists, and screams "ummm, uhhhhhhh!" as the room erupts in applause.

I know that quote is in reference to the Reich hire after McDaniels backed out. However, I can't help wondering what Pagano thinks when he reads that comment from Luck.

Things didn't work out well for him. Just an observation. Not pouring salt into an open wound BTW.

I think they all understand the business they're in.  I'm sure Luck has the utmost respect for Pagano as a friend, a coach, and a man, and rightfully so.  I don't think chuck would hear that comment and be hurt by it.

I could care less about the record if you had read my posts you would realize i was just giving an accurate account of Paganos record .

You could use a course in reading comprehension the poster i was responding to was hung up on numbers that absolutely made no sense & my attempt was lost on him & APPARENTLY YOU .

Nobody in there right mind would celebrate or embrace a 8-8 record that would be moronic .

In the context of my post which apparently you missed is 8-8 is not a losing season but it sucks .

Pagano had 1 losing season 2017 the poster I was answering believed 2012 did not & should not count for Pagano .

Pagano sucked I was never impressed & I would have been happier had he been fired the prior season .

So IMO if you don't understand  what you read that's on you, your post had no basis in reality turn that page & your also wrong our drafting started out pretty good & the first 3 seasons were pretty good .

Do I? Yes. He was set up this last season to be the scapegoat from day one.

He was expected to win games with no starting QB. He had no offensive line. He had no defense either. But don't let little things like that effect your hate.

My god you are hyperbolic. I don't hate anyone. I simply don't think a coach with an 8-8 ceiling, who proved to be sub par in game management and player development was ever going to bring us a championship.  Irsay and ballard seemed to agree is that "hatred" as well?

Wow. Another poster who cant see facts and get them right. It's easy to omit facts when your narrative is to point fingers.

Matter of fact, Chuck may have coached his best year going 8-8 without Luck and 5 different QBs. But when all you want to do is hate it don't matter to you anyway.

Do You think chuck should still be the head coach of the Indianapolis Colts?

Dude your just flat out wrong just because the dude was sick with cancer does'nt mean he still was'nt the head coach .I don't need to spin nothing you got that under control .

The NFL gave him credit because he was the HC ,

Who cares what you think any one reading this knows you have no clue .

This is an argument you will always lose spin that ..:headspin:

What does it matter?  Our team drafted poorly, and was coached poorly for the past 5 years (6 on the coaching side). The longer it went on the worse we got.  Who cares what the record was......the evidence was on the field.  Anyone that would embrace 8-8 and missing the playoffs for the next three years as a success, please raise your hand.......turn the page.....

  10. Hindsight being what it is, I wish he'd chosen to sign with Philly instead of Indy back in '15 (?).  He could be retiring on top, a Superbowl winner with nothing left to prove.  I loved having Gore here, but I think he should go to a contender if he has the option.

Ballard won’t stand next to irsay.  Definite sign of discord.

They just went "short, tall, short"  it's your basic triangular composition. And if ancient Egyptian architecture has taught us anything, the triangle has long since been considered a symbol of strength and stability, not discord......so........myth busted?

Welcome back Frank. So happy you got the job.  I wanted him all along.  Never wanted that other guy anyway.

Awesome.  I did want the "other guy" but now that it's over, I'm ready to climb aboard the bandwagon.  Got an empty seat?

    p.s. All in.......

  13. Has anyone heard whether or not Reich plans to call the offense?  I know its probably too early to know for sure, but I've been cut off from the news today.  Wondered if our fanbase has any insight?

His word?? It sounds like you didn't even get the meaning of my comment.

Turning my comment into I am not taking him at his word is nonsense.

I'm saying I believe him when he talks about competition. By that standard, in my mind, he lined up his best head coach candidates the first time around.  Nothing more.  I didn't turn your comment into anything. You're free to approach it from any angle you choose. I only speak for myself.
