  1. I think theres more trouble on this locker room than is being let on.

The healthy scratches, young players not developing, veteran(s) underperforming, 2 of 3 losses primarily on special teams, mental errors on the field, a qb that seems to struggle getting thru his progressions (you cant tell me this passing offense doesn't look like it's got the reigns on) the constant stress of tight games, now we're starting to hear it publicly.

Maybe I'm still just down after the last couple weeks but it feels, and I stress it's mostly a "feeling".  That this "tight group" is coming apart a little.

They should be hitting their stride at 7-1 instead they look like they're stuck in neutral at 5-3 and confidence/optimism seems much lower than at the beginning of the season.  This weekend's game will be very telling.

Maybe nothing to it,  just something I've been thinking about for a couple weeks........

  2. This game is definitely an important one.  Has the potential to be a real back breaker or a feel good "get right game".  I'm not confident given what I've seen the past couple weeks.  After 2 signature wins I'm shocked how little saying the Colts "should win" holds up after just a 2 weeks.

They have to put it on the field.

The games we've dropped, with the possible exception of Oakland, have been self inflicted and all games have been decided by 1 score.

This one will show us pretty clearly where this young team is.  Win or lose (I'm not sure it ultimately matters)  this one feels like a "they are who we thought they were" kind of game.  Identity is on the line.

Are we the team that went toe to toe with 2 of the better teams in the conference or are we the guys that played themselves to 1-1 on the deteriorating leg of vinny against 2 of the more anemic offenses in the league?  Miami is just bad enough to provide us with a pretty clear answer.

To be honest I tend to think of Michelle Pfeiffer when discussing Batman Returns.

Fair enough.  The live bird in the mouth is movie magic!  Between Sunny and batman tho, I honestly think about devito way too much lol.

Now back to football b4 we get scolded......

You know, he wasn’t the only one out there today.

Some pretty ugly defense plenty of times on our end out there today as well... if we’re gonna hand out blame Adam gets 70% at best. The defense takes the other 30.

We all understand that.....well 70% of us at best do.  The bottom line though ,fair or not, the fg kickers job, when given the opportunity like Adam was today is to erase all that ugliness and get the win.

He did it last week, and blew it today.  He is the very definition of inconsistent lately.

Spread the blame all around, agreed, plenty deserve some. Adam still needs to perform in the clutch.  After all the nonsense if he hits that kick the W comes home, and he's special teams player of the week.

When he doesn't hes gonna get the majority of the criticism, regardless of the previous 58 minutes.  We were in position to win that game at that time, and he blew it.  Like it or not, fair or not, that's kind of the reality.  All the other mistakes had been overcome, in a position to win, his error cost the game.

I would say if you have a thread on the message boards that is 25+ pages and growing and has over 1,000 replies there is something legitimate about the disappointing performance of a certain player no names mentioned but wears number 4. No matter how great he was he is clearly past his prime and at this point in his career his number are below average at best. Now, do we keep a below average kicker and hope to win the Super Bowl which I think we all agree is the goal....someone has to make a tough decision. I don't think it matters if you're a 55 year fan such as myself or a newbie we have to have a kicker that makes his kicks that's the bottom line. Have a nice day, this game made me sick to my stomach!

I'm not saying you're wrong, but if Ballard and co start making decisions based on this forum we're all doomed.  Guarantee they've evaluated the situation multiple times and will again this week.  They'll only make a move if it's a net positive.

Actually he was good up until that last series. No TY and no JB and we still moved the ball well. Campbell was great in the first half then Reich forgot about him in the second.

Agree Reich was fine,  our o line and our Hof kicker were the problem today.  Reichs biggest detriment in that last series was his trust in Vinny.

Considering the injuries, miscues, penalties, turnovers, colts still had a chance to bring it home.  We overcame alot to still be on a position to win.  Adam blew it.

Ps I know laces out, dude's foot hit the ground half a foot behind the ball.  It wasnt going thru.

  7. I may he naive, but I think the Colts are past the days of losing 1 star killing them.  This is a different team, better constructed, better lead, and better suited fight thru adversity.  Pagano woulda been cooked because there was no creativity or versatility in that offense by the end.  Reich has both in spades.  He will tailor the plan to suit what we have, not curl up and die over what we dont.

We feed on adversity now, we might get beat but we'll d@#m sure give em a black eye on the way down.

Just like when Luck bowed out, we get to see, again, what our boys are made of.  Losing Ty hurts, no question, but from where I'm standing there are no towels (terrible or otherwise) being thrown in.  My money's still on indy,  up to Puttsburgh to prove otherwise.........

No way Ty misses @ Houston,  he'll be "running" the go in a motorized cart b4 he sits that one out.

That would make some sense.    But Miami is much further East.

Hey, at least it isn't like is was a few years ago:

    Houston in the Central

    Arizona in the East

    Tampa in the Central

Atlanta, Carolina, St. Louis and New Orleans in the West

FWIW, if we're moving anybody, I say move the Pat's to the AFC N and push the Browns to the east.  Increase the parity.  No reason Pat's should still be in that mediocre division.....

  9. The whole offense struggled today.  Our strength (o line) got handled quite a bit so it's no wonder obi-wan jacoby and the running game had an off day.  The whole team just looked flat, especially with vinnys miscues compounding the issue.  I'm wondering if a Reich has trouble getting these guys to focus on these "should win" games.  Colts have had a tendency to play down to the competition as far back as I can remember.  I was hoping Reich would be able to curb that a bit, and maybe he can, it's still a small sample size but oak and den concern me.  Glad it was a win, but they stole one today more than they earned it. Hope they dont celebrate too much, learn from it and don't have another performance like this for a long time (like early next season).  Just my $0.02. Looking forward to next week.  Go colts!

I wonder if Aaron Rogers found one of those little notes on his locker yesterday..........

Aaron's locker gets stuffed with valentine's cards year round, I hear the NFL buys them in bulk.  In Aaron's case, per CBA, the shield considers the refs to be "more like mailmen than officials".

In GB the crews even stuff the heads of their flags with those chalky little heart shaped candies.  They say it makes them fly in a smoother arc, but we know better..."Hope to see you in Feb" is second only to "Pick Me".

Side bar: coveted "Rodger's Urine" is only collected for DNA to be used in Collinsworth's legacy basement cloning operation(s).  Rumor had it he's already got a gallon of Mahomes down there.
