Well worth rolling the dice on this guy. Need to get McFadden now...and I have to say that I arguably like rounds 6-7 better than any other two rounds.
1 & 2??

There we go guys. Bring on the praise

For those complaining, it shows you that he was going to be cut after the draft. Better to pick up something rather than nothing.
Thank you

Actually has very good ballskills... catches it away from the body... but route running needs development.
Yep. I saw this too. His hands and the way he catches reminded me of Hopkins. Obviously not D Hop, but his relaxed catching ability showed glimpses.

I understand supporting and being a fan of Hurst, hope he can have a long career, but personally I’m glad we passed on him and got some extra picks in the process.
I’d rather Ballard take a player that fails based on other reasons. A pre-examined medical condition is something he knows now, so I understand passing on him. Hope the best for Hurst though as well.

Wanna jump too? Guess u think Colts will be 16 and 0.
Just stop. There’s a difference in being skeptical and ignorant. And you are not skeptical.

It’s like we’re playing Bridge with Ballard. He doesn’t play well with others, so here’s what he tells us:
“I’m holding all the trumps, so you declare yourself the *, and we win the hand.”
We don’t know what he knows. Maybe he misses on a pick and they don’t perform. Then we can show our distaste. Right now, none of us know better, so let’s chill out.

This is a really good eye opener to people here. Not gonna lie, didn’t get it at first, but you’re right. Everyone is mad about picks we would have never had without giving them a chance.

What's killing me is that a bunch of us spend the offseason watching film, evaluating players, doing mock drafts, and talking about players. Come draft day, people come out of the woodwork screeching about how terrible these players are and "who is that?" If you don't you know Kemoko Turay is, I don't think you have any reason to be upset at the pick. ESPN and NFL.com have him rated lower than where he went, so obviously CB doesn't know what he's doing. /s
I really like him, even though I projected him a bit lower than where we picked him. He needs some refinement, but I think in a year or 2 he could be a really good DE for us. Keep in mind that we have some bodies at DE and don't expect to be contending this year, so taking a guy that should be hitting his stride when your roster should be ready for contention is setting yourself up for the long haul.
I deleted it from your comment, but Guices fall had me okay with passing on him. A projected first round running back rarely falls that far. He could work it out, but he could also not and it’s a wasted pick. Mack turned out to be a great pick (imo, just give him more carries and coach him more to go north and south )that has potential.
As for the forum, I probably got too worked up. People have a right to their own opinions, sometimes it just makes me mad to see blatant hate where it is not needed. There is always a nervous energy behind every pick, we all feel that.
My guess about Ballards draft strategy this year is that he likes the front 7 talent in those early rounds, but thought there was a drop off. I also believe he thinks that the skill positions were not as strong this year, and has just as good a chance to find a starter in rounds 4-7 than 2 and 3. Just my opinion, but there is a plan we are not seeing because we aren’t the ones in that war room

Ballard goes in with a plan and it’s evident. He explains his reasoning and provides us with clarity. Cant wait to see how these guys develop under our new staff

We had so many holes, no way to fix them all with superstars in one draft.

I love this pick. High motor, excellent closer on the football. He has decent pass rush moves that can be polished with the help of Mathis

A run specialist it would seem. Ballard is building the packages in the trenches!

Whoops, posted a tweet on Tyquan Lewis here! My bad fellas

You guys are ridiculous. None of us have access to film like any NFL team does. They haven’t even seen the field and everyone hates them. Good God this forum is annoying
