The defense definitely deserves a lot of credit for this game. Great performance by them

He is the heartbeat of this defense

So let me get this straight......
Darius Leonard, a Colts LB, has 17 Total tackles, 15 solo, 2 forced fumbles, and a sack?! On the colts defense? Wowowow! So cool

Maybe the wind will blow Clark into his blocks and he plays well

Washington gets an early 17-6 first quarter lead but Andrew scores a deep passing TD. 17-13. Then Leonard or Moore get an INT and set us up to take the lead 20-17 during the 2nd quarter.
Final: 33-31 Colts!
Luck: 247 yards, 2TD

It doesn’t seem like something Ballard would do. If it turns out we sign him, I’m on board. Ballard would have to be able to trust him and if he does, then I can. If not, I’m perfectly okay with that too

Why do you think that is? Because the Redskins shut them down, he didn't get the opportunity to carry the ball much. They ran the ball effectively, taking lots of time off the clock with Peterson. Yes, Bradford isn't very good, he's a placeholder for Rosen, but our defense is much worse than the Cards. In fact, we are probably only better than them at QB and TE.
Our defense is not much worse than the Cardinals. Our offense is far better than the Cardinals offense, so imo we have a better chance of winning than the Cards did vs the Skins. We have a challenge with Peterson, but the last time we faced him, we shut him down. And that was 2016, when we had a terrible defense too. I think our defense is better since then, and we should see a solid outing!

Um excuse me was Washington in the playoffs last year or something? I don't really understand this scaredy cat mentality in this thread. People pronouncing Ls before the game is even played. I can't buy into that type of thing.
I agree. The Cardinals are a bad football team, at least I think so. Terrible QB play by Bradford, turned it over it seemed like 5 times

Mixon had his way with us, 17 carries for 95 yards. 5.5 yards per carry. 5 receptions for 54 yards as well. Green did his usual thing. 6 receptions for 92 yards and a td. Our running game was nonexistent, Luck started out slow and we only scored 3 points in the first quarter.
This was only the Bengals, mind you. Andy Dalton and a young offense had their way with us. I was expecting the defense to do better than this. We put up no resistance against them. Like I said above, imagine when we play teams with elite QBs and RBs. This was a winnable game, and we made it look very difficult. I guess I was expecting more from coach Reich. I'll give it 3 more weeks before judging though.
And Dalton had his way even more with the Ravens defense, which is, and has been better than our defense. I know you posted this before the Thursday game, but I’d say it’s safe to say that the Bengals are being overlooked this year

I bet they hold us early, but our TEs will be our strength this game
And of course, Andrew Luck.

Our pass rush actually looked better than the Ravens does rn, and that’s saying something

On his first NFL start, Nelson basically shut down Geno Atkins. I like!

Worth noting also Kelly and Slauson having fine afternoons too. All three showed excellent understanding between them. This is the best interior we have had in years.
Dat exterior though....

Let’s put it this way: Andrew didn’t throw any balls that could’ve been completed with more velocity (from what I remember)
-
Middle of the pack defensive performance? Not bad

Was he the one who gave up a sack to Geno?
That was Smith. For some reason they put him at tackle.

You don’t just go for two if you have 12 points to get 14.

Here’s another huge number:
The Colts converted 11/17 (65%) of their 3rd down plays. That’s a really great number. It’s actually the best conversion rate since 2012
