    Going to surprise some people.

Offense: Lane Johnson RT- We need a RT and he's the best in the NFL IMO. Not flashy, but he would solidify our line with the current picks in the draft this year.

Defense: Aaron Donald DT- What can I say? Easily the best DT in the NFL. Can Run block, sack the QB, and can withstand double teams. Would easily make our Defensive line Elite.

Lane Johnson is actually genius because we would have a complete (theoretically) offensive line.

Aaron Donald is a no brainer

    OK.....     I"ll play along....

I'm in the small camp, OK, very small camp,  (me) that thinks that Luck doesn't playfrom until the halfway point of the season,  which this year,  is the Bye Week.

So,  I'm predicting that Brissett takes us to 3-5 at the break.    Then Luck takes over and goes 5-3 in the 2nd half which includes 5 of our 6 conference games.

We finish 8-8.     And I think by the end of the season we're a team that other teams are taking notice of and are not looking forward to playing in 2019.

    8-8 in 2018.

Likely 10-6, maybe better in 2019.

Luck may have a bit of a rusty touch in passes, but he will have better protection. I think that will help him perform a lot better, plus he will be getting the ball out more quickly. I’d say 3 games and he’s back to being a difference maker

He graded out from PFF as #4 RB in the draft for Pass Pro.

Whatever that means, I'm not a PFF follower, but saw a tweet about this shortly after the pick.

I saw him pass pro and his vision to pick up blitzes from spots other than where he’s standing didn’t seem very good to me. At the next level, I’m sure he can be coached up, but it needs work. Other than that, I’m a huge Wilkins enthusiast

And as far as Ballard not "guaranteeing" anything, ok, that's fair, but does he seem like a guy who has any doubts about what he's saying with regards to Luck? He's on record, at multiple press conferences, claiming Andrew has a chip on his shoulder, and that he's "going to prove a lot of people wrong." It just doesn't strike me as something he'd be saying if Luck were still several months away from being recovered.

I agree because Ballard wouldn’t say ‘he has a chip on his shoulder and is going to prove a lot of people wrong’ if he didn’t expect Luck to be ready for the start of the 2018 season.

And he’s throwing weighted balls. Those are heavier than footballs. The workload of throwing a lot in practice shouldn’t be overbearing by any means. He’s gonna be as ready as he can be come August

Seems like he really like our class. He also shares his UDFA sleepers from this Colts class ^

What?? We allowed 10 sacks vs one team. LMAO, I thought the video analysis was off to begin with since he had Nelson lower than Smith. His ‘athleticism’ will not make him better than Nelson and Nelson is the better athlete anyway. He has more bend and better setup than Smith does, speed does not equal athleticism. I’m not coming at you, but the YouTuber for his awful evaluation. Our offensive line was awful last year and Nelson should be in the high 80 range. Not 70s

The AFC South is going to be interesting.

The National Media has, in my opinion, underestimated the talent on this roster, by discounting the players on IR last year.

The biggest question mark is Luck’s health and with the additions on the Oline, scheme and running the ball, Luck should be somewhat safer than he has been.   One could probably make an argument for any of the four teams winning the division.

If our defense is as good as I think it is, we can get a wild card spot or even win the division, but we need to show we can beat the Jaguars and the Texans at full strength. The Titans I’m not worried about because they barely beat us last year and we were garbage.

I'm going to guess and say that the video is missing some context.  They are probably talking about the last time Luck threw in an actual game.  Simms is right though, there is more than likely going to be a fair amount of rust that Luck will have to work through.

It’s Luck though, so the rust will wear off rather quickly.

A lot of these guys were team captains and/or All-Americans in college though. It's not just a random group of dudes with fast 40 times, these guys are football players.

I kinda came at it narrow minded on the fact this is based on how athletic the players we drafted are. Ballard found leaders and yes, football players. I’m actually really excited about this draft class, but I try to withhold it in order to reduce disappointment should they not work out. The fact that they are athletic sets them up better for success, so cherrio!

  9. Okay, I’m not trying to be pessimistic, but an athlete is not a football player. There are millions of athletes in the world. There are very few professional football players comparatively.

I do like the fact that Ballard is going after athletic leaders though, it is a sign that that’s what he wants here and we need leaders among this young group of men that form the Indianapolis Colts

Didn’t we blow like 7 4th quarter leads?

I think it was this, 8, or 9. We lost n/12 of our games (given n is 7,8,9) without Luck, without a remotely good defense, or w/o a good offensive line. We walk into the 2018 season with 2/3 (yes, I believe our oline is fixed).

Some examples of what you could see this year

But better.... because Luck is the only QB drafted since 2012 to receive an elite QB rating. It may take a few games, but if his shoulder repaired correctly, he will be taking us to the playoffs again for the first time since 2014.

Your high i rather have hines cuz he can run the outside and can run between the tackles he is only a lil lighter then wilkins i think dont mean anything leveon bell is short like hines js

While Hines is a really good speed back, I always believed that while speed kills, so does being able to break a tackle and make someone miss, which is what Wilkins does. Hines is like Mack, but far more versatile since he can play WR in the slot. Wilkins vision is better too, he just can’t pass block worth a rats rear end.

That’s what I thought too, but the Rams got away with it. They had Robert Woods and Cooper Cupp who are both 6’0”. And they traded for Cooks. Watkins is a bigger receiver but he only had 500 yards for them. I would say that speed and route running take more priority over size.

I’m starting to wonder if having an athletic TE is more important. Ebron could really break out here.

Given the success tight ends have seen here and Ebron is by far the most athletic, I agree 100%. Doyle and him are perfect complements to each other’s game.

  14. Both will help a ton because of what differences they provide for us. They have different running styles, but overall, I’d say that Hines’ versatility and big play ability earns him my vote. Wilkins will give us a solid option at the #1 RB position
