I saw a lot more positve than negative......the loss hurts us

But Houston lost, Tennessee is losing..and we can beat Jacksonville

Jacksonville really didn’t look good either. They would’ve lost if not for the pick 6

i thought hooker and geathers were both disappointing.  hooker was late/bad angle on greens td

    wilson shouldnt have played

One nice thing about them playing bad is that they all have the talent to improve. Hooker most of all so. Wilson also had to play with one hand and Geathers hasn’t played in awhile. They’ll get better.

I agree about Geathers and Hooker. It looked like Hooker doesn't have his top end speed back yet.

I thought he did look slow. He’s gonna get better I’m sure.

  3. Well it looks like 15 other teams have a 30% chance too. I don’t get why some people here act like we’re the only team that lost today, lol.

CBall would just do something stupid like take a guard or tackle with our first pick. Also, I thought we started tanking in preseason. Good grief:facepalm:

What? I can’t with you people

    I'll take a silver lining.

Other silver lining: Luck's a beast.  Looked very sharp without his LT and starting RB in his first real game back in over a year.

If you take out the INT, which was his first pass (officially anyway), he went 39/52 312 yards and 2TDs. That’s not bad considering he hasn’t played in so long.

Another note, Luck is currently the 3rd rated passer. In his first game back.

  5. Nyheim Hines looks really good so far this game. You can see flashes of his speed, and he’s definitely a mis match. Much better than in the preseason.

I think we should give Quincy Wilson a break. He has one hand, the PI call was nonsense, and he’s covering AJ Green. Jamming is his strength and it’s hard to do that with one hand. As a 2nd year player, he’s doing pretty well.

Since when is it a coach's job to 'coach up' players on other teams?

I mean it in the general sense. They aren’t supposed to coach other teams’ players, but they could at least show respect to them. Andrew Luck isn’t a guy that runs his mouth either. He just puts his head down and grinds, but he gets disrespected. I have a problem with that.

Out of curiosity I took a look at our projected salary cap for next offseason, & wow, the Colts have A LOT of money to play with...

And the list of free agents next season looks nice as well.

Why is Jacksonville so in the gutter? -8.8 mil? I mean, I’m not complaining, lol. Just curious how you could do that as a gm

Also, with contract extensions, would that number lower? I’m not sure who will be a FA after this year for the Colts.

I think Najee good will be the starter at SAM. But it wouldn't surprise me to see Matthew Adams beat him out at some point. I'd like to see Adams, Walker, and Leonard as the starting 3 at some point.

I like Walker, I hear a lot about his leadership and football smarts. Hopefully he can show some good ability to play as well.

Love Leonard and I've also really liked Matthew Adams and Zaire Franklin. Adams had a really nice pass break up in zone coverage in the Cincy game that I really thought showed off his speed. That PBU prevented a touchdown. Ive been impressed with Franklin's tackling, toughness and awareness.

Adams had a real nice one against Seattle too. Near tip drill pick to the safety

No I am saying first and second round picks are hit and miss....for any GM.

Mack was a major hit therefore worth a first and second.  Actually looks like he is worth 2 firsts to the Bears.

Congrats to the Bears.  They are making major inroads towards improving their team.

The Colts?  We got Luck back.  Besides that?  Where are we getting better?

Mack is an experienced vet at this point in his career. We have over 15 players on our roster that are first or second year players. We aren’t going to be great, but I don’t see how we can say we aren’t improving. Nelson and Leonard are automatic improvements in my eyes. As well as Hooker coming back and Geathers. I’m also pretty sure all of those players are getting paid less than Mack combined. We will have some breakout players this year, I can feel it. Having Luck back allows other players to step up bc he will be doing his thing, keeping us in the game

Sorry, not sure what else to say about this thread.....

According to this guy, you should be looking at the floor

Oliver's 3 year career so far, I think he was on IR in 2016.

    Rush:

    226 Att - 773 Yds - 3.4 Avg - 3 TDs

    Rec:

    55 Rec - 409 Yds - 7.4 Avg - 1 TD's

Last year too. I think he tore his Achilles or something last year or the year before. I remember recording a video of it popping. Very nasty looking injury, thought he was done.
