The offensive line doesn’t kill Andrew Luck
If they can stay healthy, they should be good, like actually good. Especially if we add Nelson

If Mayfield goes 1st then I think there's a very good chance the Colts will land Chubb.
Only if Barkley makes it to 4

Despite the GM himself saying there's good depth at the Edge Rusher in this class? He said this himself.
This is a weak edge rush class. Talent drops off rather quickly

Redskins select Minkah Fitzpatrick.
Unsure of who is next

Browns take Bradley Chubb, DE
Broncos up next.

Crazy how quickly everything can change isn’t it?
Once Luck is back on the field though, we will see competitive games and hopefully some impressive 1st and 2nd year players step up

Penny. He is the best RB in the draft after Barkley imo, maybe better.

The thing with Edmunds is he can move and play any linebacker position ask. I can see him roaming around making plays where ever needed.
This is true, but he can only be in one spot. We need another guy to stand along side him, so might as well get a guy to fill in the Will position. I like Edmunds in the Mike spot on base defensive plays. In nickel he can even stay in.

A ton of the film I watched of him no one even attempted to block the guy. The lineman just looked lost and allowed him to blitz in unscathed. The gut is talented, but I dunno.. I'm just not sold on him.
Missed assignments happen when you run 4.5 speed past on an inside blitz. It will happen less, but Smith should make an impact. We just need a good Mike to go with him.

I would rather see the Colts draft Trumain Edmunds at #6 myself.
If this happened, I would want to see Shaquem Griffin drafted at some point. A Will and a Mike should both be drafted this class.
If if we take Smith, take LVE in round 2.

Sorry.... I wrote such a long post (Which I'm not proud of) and do since I'm asking people to read a lot of material, I thought I'd try to make it easier by making the font bigger by one level.
I was was trying to help readers not upset anyone....
It was a comment out of sarcasm
sorry if it seemed hostile

There are no guarantees, to me Edmunds is the bigger risk, although he does have a lot of upside. I disagree about Smith not being good enough against the run, he is a 3 down lb imo, he is good against the run and can cover TEs.
Roquan has more immediate upside and less risk, I agree. If we can get LVE in the second round, I’d be hyped. Perfect selections and additions for our lb corps. Mike and Will

Please enlighten everyone on why Smith is such a bad pick at 6th overall.
I don’t think he’s bad, I just have my concerns with him for his run stopping ability. He isn’t strong enough in the box and definitely isn’t a Mike. He’s a great will with a strong Mike backer to help him support the run, but I’ve seen too many plays of him getting completely blown up by interior lineman.
It won’t happen every play, but I’d rather have Edmunds at 6. Risks are there for both, but if Eberflus would rather take Smith, then I’d rather have Smith too.

I think Lamar Jackson goes top 15 just because of what Desaun Watson turned out to be. Not sure to what team, but there are plenty of teams that need a QB. Days 1 & 2 will be fun to watch this year!

Where’s the DT?
I wouldn’t say we are in heavy need of DT as we are in other positions

We take Edmunds with Nelson on the board
We then later take Shaquem Griffin for the WILL role.

he's a physical beast but he never really crushed it in college his numbers aren't that great
If coaches develop him, he will be. Agreed rn he may not be a slam dunk, but with proper coaching, easy All-Pro

Interesting. If the Broncos move, our chances at getting Chubb only increase.

Edmunds is a blue chip player, but he’s gonna be gone by 12.
Even if we don't make the playoffs this season, it can still be successful if...

Ballard does seem to favor the defense as opposed to the offense. Our defense obviously needs more work, but why bother when adding a seemingly automatic pro-bowl guard to protect your franchise pro-bowl quarterback will put you in contention?
Dont get me wrong, I like Smith, Chubb, and Edmunds at 6, but I don’t see passing on Nelson as an option. There are however a lack of top tier linebackers and edge rushers in this draft.
Welp, only can wait and see (2 days might I add)
