  1. Bill Polian is one of the great talent evaluators of all time.  I think he gets a bad rap lately.  Sure, his last few drafts weren't great.  But we don't know how much of that was Chris Polian.   But take a look at the last 4-5 drafts for the Patriots.  With all their picks, look how many misses they have had.  And Belichick supposed to be good at that.

I don't think it has to be Polian or Grigson. I look at them more like Manning and Luck.  We went from one great talent guy to potentially another!

  2. It's funny how so many posts start with "I would like" and "we should sign". It's too bad I live in reality, and don't live at home, don't have everything paid for, I'm not young, I'm tired of it. Btw, I met and talked to Johnnie U. He is a legend, but a personal clown. A loser.

    Just say "No" to crack

  3. I would like to the the Colts draft down from their #1.  Ideally, trade to a team like Miami or SF to pick up two #2 picks.  It seems this draft is fairly even over the first three rounds.  I would like the Colts to take a flyer on Lattimore.  Redshirt him for a year.

  4. I have always disagreed with those that thought we had a good O-line for yrs.. Glenn was a beast and Saturday was very good, but mostly because he's just so darn smart. Lilja, Diem, and Johnson were huge liabilities in run blocking and Scott was average IMO. Our O-line looked better than it really was because Saturday and Manning worked so well together and Manning was the master at knowing what the defense was going to do.

The scheme has a lot to do with it.  I will predict this year, with Luck likely throwing the ball quicker, suddenly people will be raving about Castonzo getting better or our other lineman coming on.   Manning made our OLine look good because he got rid of the ball so quick.  But they could rarely ever run block well.  Huge liability.

  5. I know that is speculated, but I honestly would like to see how it works out.  It seems Grigson ad Pagano have a certain team chemistry they are looking for, and role players to fit into that system.  Walden may do exactly what they are needing him to do, which he may be quite good at.  I remember when Belichick was grabbing guys and plugging them into roles and it was working well.  Now, he didn't give them 4 mill a year.  But after Grigson did what he did last year, I will give him the benefit of the doubt.

  6. I hope we go OLine as well. I think we now have 3 solid players on the OLine, but having two below average is a killer.   The Oline is only as good as its weakest link.   I would love it very much if Cooper fell to us.  That would really solidify our line for years to come.

  7. I grew up in Baltimore and was just a kid when the Mayflower trucks showed up.  I never fully understood why this was happening to my team.  This article was very informative.

Unlike most Colt fans from MD...........I continued to follow the team.  No reason to quit on the team because the state was attempting to take what was not theirs.

Irsay may have been a jerk but he did the right thing.  Way to go Robert.........best decision he ever made.

I have never lived in Baltimore or Indy.  But I have been a Colts fan since I was very little and Bert Jones was the QB.  I will always be a COLTS fan regardless of what city they call home.

  8. All I know is that I know nothing.   The draft publications are mostly wrong.  The "experts" are wrong.   We have conversations in this forum about who the Colts should sign in free agency as if it is a done deal, and then they don't sign any of them.  So we can say the Colts are going to draft a WR or a LB with the first pick, but for all we know, they pick another DB.  Or a RB.  Or really any position on the team other than QB with their first pick.

I am always reminded a few years ago when the draft publications had Pat Angerer as a 3-5 round pick.  When Polian grabbed him in the 2nd, some people said Polian reached.  Because the draft publication must have been right!   Obviously, Angerer is a far better LB then what was projected when he is healthy.  So when someone on here says "We are definitely drafting xxxx", really, do we know?  Isn't that more a speculation rather than stating it as a fact??  Who would have guessed we would have went mostly offense last year.  Grigson was ripped for that after the draft, but it worked out fine.

So who knows!??!!  That said, drafting Te'o would make me sick.

  9. andy if i tell you your better then brad wells is that a complement or an insult?

Andy can actually talk realistically about Bill Polian.  Brad Wells cannot ever say a single good thing about Bill Polian ever since Polian made a comment about gay men.  Wells and his husband attack everyone on their blog.

  10. I think McGlynn is terrible. He is a notch better than Seth Olsen, who we finally got rid of.   I still view Satele and McGlynn as the weak links of the line.  And unfortunately, that means pressure up the middle.  I am glad for the two new additions, but I would still like to see someone other than McGlynn or LInkenbeast get the RG spot.  Anderson or Ijalana would be nice.

  11. This is what I concede. Luck will not lose 11 playoff games. Luck will not have eight one and done in the playoffs. Luck will not be in the top 10 all time for pick sixes in the regular season and post-season. Luck will have more than one fourth quarter comeback or GWD in the post-season. Luck will never score only 3 points in any two post-season games. Luck will never lose a playoff game to the likes of a Billy Volek.

Luck has a chance to get to Brady's level if he stays healthy and the Colts org continues to be smart.

Do you have to ask if I believe Brady is infinitely better than Peyton? lol.

  12. Please never, ever, ever, ever, ever change the uniforms!  Never!  The Colts look like an NFL team.   Great traditional uniform.  Like the Packers.  Teams like the Seahawks look like a college team.   I pray the Colts never go in that direction.  I think as long as Jim Irsay owns the team we never have to worry about that.

  13. I agree with you.  And it is not a shot against Peyton Manning or anyone related to those teams.   The Colts in the Manning era were not very balanced.  Take away the pass, put heat, and they lost.  Or their defense lost the game.   The one year we saw Manning get a good rushing attack and stopping the run in the playoffs, they won the Super Bowl.   Madden style offense is exciting in regular season, but at the end of the day, the team that runs and stops the run better usually wins the Super Bowl.  Because Pagano and Grigson seem dedicated to making a balanced team that can run and stop the run, that will give Luck a huge advantage over what Manning had to do.

  14. He is a decent backup, but I really wish they would have given Chandler a shot.  Because we won't carry 3 QBs, so Chandler will likely be cut and if he is cut early enough in the season, I don't see him making it through waivers.   A team like SD, who reportedly wanted to sign up, would be a candidate to sign him.

  15. It's hard to give Brad much credit.   Bill Polian made a remark some years ago about homosexuals and Brad took it personally.   Since then, Brad and his boyfriend over there attack Polian in anyway possible.  So most of his writing is so far off the mark, you would be better off shooting darts and you would be more accurate.   Try to criticize Brad sometime and watch his boyfriend attack you and ban you from the blog.

  16. I honestly hope the person is not Cruz.   Cruz is a very good player, don't get me wrong.  But he is strictly a slot receiver.  Which is what TY Hilton is.  So are we going to sit Hilton?  I don't really see the big advantage.  I would rather see a trade for an outside receiver.  Maybe someone with more size with skills along with it. That makes more sense to me.
