  1. No one can really question his value as a gunner. As for our WR group - this might be the best we've seen the unit in YEARS. I know that's a bold statement, but I really believe that with the addition of Downs, and a more experienced Pitt/Pierce this is the best we've been since probably having TY and Moncrief. As for people freaking out about gunners... it is important, but it isn't that hard to replace. Also, this is clearly a let'em play kinda year. A gunner isn't gonna make or break us this season. So excited for Colts football. Let's go (but, feels bad man for Dulin.)
  2. i agree with everything except the redzone. I think we can be a very good RZ team with all the big targets we have. question is can we move the dline in those crowded situaitons
  3. yeah, i think we see a lot of read action. one of the things i noticed was the defense was kinda of pausing at the snap of each play, or a tleast a few players were to check for the read option
  4. I hope people keep their expectations tempered. One of the youngest QBs to start ever, he's gonna be the youngest starter at QB this season. Took Jackson a couple of seasons to figure it out, also took Hurts a few years. Are we all gonna freak out when he comes in with 55% accuracy and 1-1 TD int ratio?
  5. seems like sometimes he just throws the ball flat-footed. i think with more technique work he can be special in 1-2 years.
  6. Blake Freeland might be ahead of where Raimann was at this point one year ago. Many on here thought Freeland was gonna be a long-term project, I would be fine with moving Smith to RG and letting Freeland start at RT right now.
  7. really like this post from you NCF
  8. even if we suck this year, at least it won't be torture to watch. i wasn't even mad at him for the interception, he came back and played as well as any of the other rookies, maybe better
  9. if pierce catches that ball the conversation would be totally different, people need to chill.
  10. my first impression is not that he is bad. pretty much exactly what I expected, an athletic monster who will overthrow the ball occasionally. but to go from Ryan to Richardson? I'm ecstatic.
  11. Most excited to see AR5. I am excited to see all the rookies who will be active though. Also like multiple others have said, I really hope our offensive line looks more competent early on. Yes we did get whooped by their second string last year, but to be fair they had a lot of people on their bench who would've started on a lot of teams. They were super deep at DE, i haven't checked this year, but i'd assume they are still good at edge rusher
  12. interesting, really does seem like we are gonna be a running back by committee team going forward.
  13. okay i hear you, im just going based on the report i read that he was encouraged to play injured. has that report been debunked?
  14. yeah, so my idea that he was probably being encouraged to play to save Reich's job really isn't that unreasonable, or far-fetched.
  15. I don't think any team in this league would consider giving a 1st rounder for Taylor. I really don't.
  16. I don't remember what games Taylor played, but wasn't he mainly playing when Reich was coach? Or do I have that backwards
  17. josh downs is our best route runner by far
  18. if those tweets are true, that is disgusting on part of the organization Reich's job was on the line ... encouraged Taylor to play through?
  19. whats the chances that he just doesn't want to play here and that is why they are asking for so much?
