agreed. i believe his agent is misleading him. if Taylor wanted a record breaking deal for a RB he should've balled out this season and then argued for it. his agent is misleading him like crazy

here is a problem I have guys there seems to be a narrative that Taylor can't catch the ball out of the backfield. he can, and he does it very well. do you know how many times he was sitting 5 yards over the center after a play-action fake waiting for the pass and a free 5 yards min? I can go back and find it dozens in the film, not just with Ryan but also Wentz. The ball wasn't being passed to him. JT is fast enough and has good enough hands to catch out of the backfield. Also, I'm not buying the running QB means we don't need a beast at RB. I don't believe it. the argument of cap vs super bowl winners in relation to paying running backs is probably the best argument. But who really believes we are super bowl bound this year or the next? not I. You're telling me we can waste tens of millions on QBs that are trash, and not even on the roster, but we can't pay JT? Absurd

here's my big question... if the cap goes up every year, and we have a QB on rookie deal, would it really hurt our team if we overpaid him slightly? would 16M a year really change our roster? I'm not saying he should get that this offseason, or that it's a good idea what he is doing, but it is a question i've had

i agree with everything you're saying pretty much, except the supporting the superhero bit. JT wants 30 touches a game. It's what scares a defense. He just doesn't wanna do it for 6.5M and that has nothing to do with AR being the quarterback. it does have to do with SS like you have stated though

but the thing is every running back wants the ball. every skill position wants the ball. i doubt he views it as being just a pawn to take heat off AR. at the end of the day it seems like he wants a record deal, more than any other RB right now, and it isn't gonna happen. timing is bad.
