  1. I don't think this is like 2022 at all. We are playing better this year in many areas, and I also think our Coach is better. As long as Mustache doesn't get injured we can still win 8 or 9 games. If Sam plays, we are screwed bigtime. I have seen enough of Sam to last me a lifetime. It is like watching Tolzien or Painter play watching him - same bad vibe.
  2. I don't see it as a lost season. Not until we lose 9 games. We are 3-3, so I think it is a little early to pull the plug. There are a lot of teams in our boat that are 3-3/3-2 in the conference. I am sure fans of those teams think they can make the playoffs, at least I would hope so. This SB or bust mentality by many in here is nauseating because it is extremely tough to win a SB. This isn't the Peyton years, yes back then it was SB or bust and we won 1 so the job was completed. As good as the Jags are, they aren't winning the SB either, but their fans are enjoying the success they are having. They enjoy just when the team wins a game. That is the point I am at right now and hope for the best.
  3. Here is the greatest stat of all-time regarding QBR. I just looked up the 20 best QBR's per season in the history of the NFL. David Garrard has the 7th best QBR of all-time at 80.9, that was back in 2007 . He had a better QBR than Peyton did in 2009, in 2009, Peyton was at 80.7. That automatically disqualifies that stat of being any kind of measure alone. There are probably people in here that have no idea who the hell Garrard even is
  4. In a playoff game for example. If the Bengals play the Dolphins and Burrow is healthy, I would trust Burrow more to get the win over Tua. Bengals have a good enough D as well to win a game like that.
  5. I wanted Stafford as well back in 2021 and we ended up with freakin Wentz. Right now if I had to go war on a football field, the 5 QB's I would trust here in 2023 would be: 1. Mahomes 2. Burrow - he's been there before. 3. Hurts - he's been there before. 4. Allen - he has won playoff games and is borderline great. 5. Lamar - he has an MVP under his belt and is getting his mojo back like he had a couple years ago. He is the best dual QB in the NFL for my money. That would be my top 5. No stats are going to tell me differently.
  6. We aren't trading JT anyway, we just signed him to a long contract and Moss is a FA at the end of the season. Some in here need to get over being butt hurt that we signed JT. JT and AR together next year will be lethal good.
  7. The problem with any statistical measure is, it doesn't factor in eye test for one, or things like presence that a QB brings, leadership of a QB, or how clutch a QB is. A QB can have eye popping stats and their QBR can be in the top 5, but if they aren't clutch and play bad situational football in the last 5 minutes of a game, they are going to fail against the other good times more times than not. Herbert and Cousins both are great examples of this! Why some don't get that is puzzling. Getting the win is all that matters in the end. Not throwing for 300 yards, 3 TD's, 0 INT's to have a great QBR or great stats.
  8. History can only speak for itself and since the AFC South was created in 2002, here are the factual numbers: Division Championships Colts - 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2013, 2014 = 9 Texans - 2011, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019 = 6 Titans - 2002, 2008, 2020, 2021 = 4 Jags - 2017, 2022 = 2 Conference Championships Colts - 2006, 2009 = 2 Texans - 0 Titans - 0 Jags - 0 SB Championships Colts - 2006 = 1 Texans - 0 Titans - 0 Jags - 0 History is history, it doesn't lie. You can't take away what a team has accomplished to fit your narrative of 'what have you done for me lately'. It doesn't work like that. If that is the case, the Patriots 6 SB Championships shouldn't matter then from 2001-2018 because of they have stunk the last 4 seasons. If some in here want to ignore what the Colts have accomplished since the South was created, then they should never bring up the Pats again as being the greatest dynasty of all-time.
  9. The Jags are currently the best team in the division, I have no problem admitting that. If I said otherwise, I would be a fool. It is simply a fact. They have the best QB in the division and best Coach in the division is the main reason. They also have a defense that bends more than it breaks. They bend but tend give up FG's instead of TD's more often than not. Having said all that, nobody in here should be praising the Jags because they really have very little shot of ever winning a SB in this era. At best, Trevor Lawrence is the 6th best QB in the conference, that isn't going to cut the mustard. Mahomes, Burrow - when he's healthy, Allen, Tua, and Lamar are all better. The Jags also don't have a dominant defense, it is good but not dominant. There are certain people in here that were in love with the Titans because of the run they had from 2019-2021 (they were not winning jack with Tannehill at QB so I was never worried about them winning anything big), now the Jags will be there go to. Yet when we had Andrew Luck and won the division twice and made a long playoff run (2012-2014), it was always we should have and hardly anyone ever gave us any credit. Winning the Conference and a SB is hard, that is why I try to enjoy any win I can get each week and I am just happy if we make the playoffs. Point is, the Jags aren't going anywhere (as in winning the Conference or a SB), and everyone knows it, just like Tennessee didn't from 2019-2021. Win the Conference Championship and I will praise that. We did it twice with Peyton in 2006 and 2009. Win a SB like we did in 2006 and you join the Elite teams that have played all-time.
  10. Jags will probably win the division; I accepted that after Sunday. Having said that looking at all the teams, that 7th spot to make the playoffs is going to be a crapshoot all season. We can still get that. You have to figure, - Chiefs - west, Bills - east, Ravens - north, Jags - south, Bengals - north, and Dolphins - east will get in. 4 of those division winners and the other 2 as WildCards. We are 3-3 right now and bunched up with the Steelers, Browns, Texans, Raiders, and Jets - all have 3 wins as well. Chargers losing Monday actually helped, they are 2-3. This Browns game is huge coming up on Sunday.
  11. That is an understatement. I hope they play like this against us.
  12. They pay Kamara all this money (he makes more than JT) and they have 1st and goal from the 6 and don't even run him once or throw to him once. These coaches are a bunch of dunces! -Dennis Allen, your dunce cap!
  13. Jags should win now. All they need is 10-15 yards and a FG puts them up. Saints need a Turnover. Nice comeback though.
  14. That is the 2nd 25 yard run that Lawrence has had, what is he, AR all of the sudden
  15. I think so too. Saints are not as good as I thought.
  16. The Saints coaching staff has sucked in all 3 phases tonight. Their play calling on offense has been atrocious. Hell, Frank can call a better game than those clowns.
  17. Saints get the ball 1st to start the 3rd. Only down 14-6 but I don't have much faith in Carr.
  18. I don't think he has either. He is the best QB in our division but that isn't saying much. He is good but far from great.
