Google "The Triumph of _______" (starts with bull and ends with it) by T.S Eliot. It was an unpublished poem that he wrote after some critics made him mad. Forget Beastmode, I could see Lynch going T.S Eliotmode if they don't ease up.

I thought the Pats won that one my bad...still a good example though. Brady put up 23 and led in the 4th even though he threw 2 ints.you mean his 395 yds and 2 td in Seattle where the defense gave up a last minute TD to lose by 1?
And if that example doesn't cut it, then I just go back to my first comment about Wilson, Favre, etc. I looked the game up. Wilson had fewer completions, fewer yards, and more sacks. He still won the game.
It can't be both. He can't win the game and suck because of stats while Brady loses but is perfect because of stats.

Brady is in the same boat, recently atleast. He's in the Superbowl in spite of the fact that it's been everything but pretty. His last Seahawks game is a perfect example.

but just...no...no. I know even the other folks HATE the guy but he's the best. Revis was exposed as far back as 2008, and when I say exposed I don't mean exposed as some kind of fraud or whatever, I just mean that he was beatable against people other than Randy Moss who used to own him. -
Sherman is lightyears ahead of both and that's not a knock on them.

Give me Wilson, Favre, Eli, Bradshaw and those guys who throw 4 ints a game then 1 TD at the end to win over Rodgers, Pennington, Garcia and their unscathed QBR in games they never win every time.

I heard 1 of the ESPN radio shows yammerimg about how if he actually did order a second AFCCG, that it wouldn't be the first time that it would have happened. Apparently they replayed some championship game in 1 of the prehistory on the NFL.

Green Bay won 3 straight NFL Championships before Superbowls I and II which came next. That makes 5 championships plus a few more before the 5 straight.

I was first referring to Peyton's postgame interview on the sidelines after the record breaking game.
They should know each other pretty well. They both played in the league together for several years and Archie was Favre's favorite growing up.

"Elite" took the trophy of Football's Most Annoying Word from "Dynasty" a few years ago, but apparently "Dynasty" hasn't ran out of steam totally.
Has anybody even noticed that the SB is going to be New England Coach vs New England coach who he replaced? And of course the Jets thing...this should be getting hyped as the greatest revenge game off all time but it's just a bunch of bickering between Brady and Manning pals, with a few other things like dynasty talk mixed in.

He does that to every quarterback who retires, and he was actually the first to say Favre wasn't retiring in the summer of 2008 in an interview that gave me the same feeling as the other one I references :/

Did anybody else notice Manning cringe and basically force the words "Imma big fan of his" out of his mouth after he broke Favre's record? I was a little heartbroken, but I should have known that The Sheriff and The Ole Gunslinger couldn't be friends.

Not knocking your work because I've been laughing at this thread for months but Championship weekend made for much better memes than these.

If the Seahawks come out flat, they will lose. I honestly think that that has been their 1 and only problem this year. They were pumped to play in week 1 because it was week 1 but until the Cardinals game they were in 3rd gear. The fact that they won 2 playoff games in a row by spotting the other team 2 Qtrs is a testament to how good they are, but this is New England......

interesting. Guess u were there. Never seen pics or reports of that but I'll just have to take your word. Everything I've seen and heard he has spent spoke very highly of his coaches and learning from them and yes he runs a lot of the offensive practices I've heard nothing but praise for how he pushes his teammates and himself. Guess this is all news to me. Do you have any links I'd be interested in reading about it.
Those were all widely reported things at the time...and when you're first line of defense is "guess you were there" you're cooked.
