  1. Probably a lot to do with it is the team being sold and a new GM and Coach will be brought in to make the decision on franchise QB. I would not be surprised at all if the front office was told to be conservative.
  2. Sorry I wasn’t more detailed. 5 defensive lineman in the first two rounds. Paye in the first and 4 jags in the 2nd. Perhaps Dayo is more and this year will tell a lot of his career trajectory. Nelson was a solid pick and I hope he can stay healthy and return as the mauler and terrific lineman we have known.
  3. Yeah it definitely scares me. I will say that two of those DEs were injury bust. Definitely tho, he drafted 5 guys in the first two rounds and only Paye has become a starter. That’s not a good track record at that position. I really hope this coaching staff turns this kid into a pro bowler.
  4. I wanted Levis but I get the upside and it fits type of player Ballard covers. We will see how good our coach and his staff are. I will root for the kid bc he is a Colt. If he develops he could be better than Josh Allen…if he doesn’t at least we took our shot at a franchise guy. Going to be a slow process but excited to see how he does over the next few years. Go Colts!!
  5. Sam doesn’t appear to be an NFL QB. Weird bc he is extremely game smart. Maybe he will be a better coach.
  6. We just aren’t very good. Not bad either. Defense is playing well and JT trying to shake off that ankle injury is noble. They are playing hard.
  7. Well, at least we had the lead at some point in the game. I enjoyed it while it lasted
  8. Hahahaha. We aren’t very good. This is going to be a long season.
  9. We could have traded for Herbert or Tua as well.
  10. So I just turned the game on. Holy smokes. What in the world is going on with this team
  11. I’m thinking 31-17 Chiefs. Hopefully we can keep it competitive up until the end when Chiefs talent pulls away.
  12. There is the Frank we all know!! Dude cant get out of his own way
  13. That was a bad hit. Amazing he played for so long and went to two SBs before addressing it.
  14. Do you think he would have stayed if he had a better snowboarding coach?
  15. I see your angle and think that it’s a good take. I think Luck had a little bit to do with that line being judged as poor. Wasn’t until he played for Reich that he started doing quicker releases. I think our OL rating will go up this year with a new RG and backup LT. Combination of obviously health and now Wentz won’t be holding onto the ball looking for the big play. It was just not a good combination of Grigson, Pagano and Luck. Who knows what would of happened if things were different but I do know people are who they are and history repeats itself.
  16. I’m one of those that doesn’t think Grigson is to blame for Luck. I think Luck just wasn’t really into football and would have retired early no matter what GM we had. That’s ok. Grigson wasn’t a good GM but I will admit the guy went for it. He swung for the fence but like all big swingers he struck out a lot. He did very well operating the salary cap and we weren’t saddled with dead money like Polian’s son did. He had a decent run but he was a total jerk and his misses added up and that got him fired. Ballard is clearly the better GM. Still, if he wants to go down as a great GM he will need to pick a QB in the draft. He knows this and taking his time.
  17. Well, I think Grigson and Pagano owe Ballard a thank you. Finally built the monster they talked about.
  18. He also set us up to take BPA or even trading up for a good WR or OT. The starting roster doesn’t have any holes. Of course there is room for improvement but I personally don’t feel anyone is below average. We can draft the best player every time we pick and see where more depth is needed and sign last of our FAs.
  19. So after signing Gilmore, I think the team is without any holes In our starting line up. Great job of Ballard allowing us to truly go BPA in the draft. After we see how the draft falls we can finish off any other depth concerns with last phase of FA and roster cuts.
