I really don't know how to react to that tweet. I wish someone could tell us if he's throwing yet. I really hope he's throwing right now.

I think he’s learned to not try to be Belichick but just take from him the important things. The attention to detail. Ensuring that everyone knows how to do their job and then goes out and does it. Preparation. But most importantly, I think he also learned from Dungy about working hand and hand with a great GM. He won’t have the burden of doing both jobs here like he did in Denver.
I think BB surrounded himself with great coordinators. Maybe those that got hired as head coaches didn't learn that part.

I really keep going back and fourth on if I want the Colts to take Barkley or Chubb. I think Barkley is probably the better player but guys like Chubb are hard to find and the Colts can still probably get a very good runningback in the second round.
Hey, I'm struggling with it too. I had only heard about Barkley but when I finally sat down and watched him in that bowl game, I was in awe! I just hope no one in the AFC South trades up to get him.

Would McDaniels really take Barkley? The offense runs well with Lewis and White, neither of which are on the level of Barkley. If we were to select a RB in the third round, the offense could run well too.
Barkley would be like Kamara but better. Kamara can do everything.

Ill wait till its official to fully believe anything i hear, i dont understand why the Titans would say Mularky is staying and than fire him a couple days later, they had to have some interest in Mcdaniels and some hope of getting him.
ESPN reported that the Titans did extend an offer to Mularkey and they couldn't come to an agreement. Ownership wanted changes to his staff and Mularkey didn't want to make any changes.
If I were making millions of dollars a year coaching, I'd fire my wife to keep the job. LOL!

They can't. That interview is for teams that have already conducted a first interview. Titans would have to wait until after the SB.
Who says they have to interview him? Maybe they just call his agent to see what it would take to get him there.

definitely the kinds of two-faces snakes I’d sign up to work for.
Ha! That’s hardly a confirmation but Colts fan will believe it because it seems like positive news for the the Colts

No but it’s been reported they have a relationship.
By whom? The things I read said they have a relationship because they share an agent.

As much as folks here like to diss on Jim Irsay, and he is easy to diss on, he does have a loyalty to his coaches. I think that is recognised among the NFL. That becomes a positive. IMHO. And then there is Mike Brown...lol.
He was looking for Pagano’s replacement during the last couple of seasons while he was still under contract.

I think the snafu with Malarkey makes Tennessee look bad. Whether that matters or not remains to be seen.
I don’t think there’s any confirmation that the Titans offered Mularkey an extension.

lol and clearly you choose what you read because he’s got ties to the colts too. Chris and him have a previous relationship probably due to sharing the same agent.
Sharing an agent doesn’t infer a relationship though.

John Gruden was a proven head coach who has won a super bowl. McDaniels has a losing record. Won’t command that kind of money.
He holds all the cards since multiple teams want him. He might not command a 10 year contract but he could get 6 with a boatload of money though.

One would hope that the situation with Mularkey would turn McDaniels off the Titans. Poor management of the situation from their ownership. For all Jim Irsay's faults, he is loyal and acts with integrity in these situations.
Could be that they fired Mularkey because they have an agreement in for McDaniels. Similar to how the Raiders fires Del Rio knowing that theyd hire Gruden.

The Raiders could be in trouble over the Gruden Hire
I doubt much will come of that unless they find texts, emails, etc.

Once a cheater, always a cheater. If that GM could dump Mularkey because of the next big thing in the market, he could do the same to McDaniels some day, and McDaniels would be smart enough to know that.
If the rumors are true he had been on the hot seat anyway. Had they not made the playoffs or won that playoff game he would have been gone already.

Unless they want to pay a big fine they must go through the interview process and Rooney Rule
Thats just a formality like The Gruden hire. They have plenty of time since McDaniels can’t be hired yet.
I’m not saying that’s the case but it’s a possibility.

Oh good grief. Don't panick just yet. TN can't even interview him for at least another week if not three
What makes you think that they have to interview him? He’s in demand right now and it’s possible that they have already talked to him and/or his agent. I find it hard to believe that they fired Mularkey without having his replacement already. This could end up similar to the Raiders going after Gruden. I doubt there was much interviewing there.

The way Mularkey is coaching in the playoff game, have to consider McDaniels might end up in Tennessee
Better get Dave Toub on the phone quick!
It wouldn’t surprise me. If they were on the fence with him then one playoff win shouldn’t have changed their minds. Doesn’t everyone beat the Chiefs in the playoffs anyway?

Because Patricia is rumored strongly for both the Lions and Giants. McDaniels is only linked to Colts. Patricia is believed to be more likely to leave. There is question surrounding the Colts because of Luck’s uncertainty. Some wonder if McDaniels will decide on Colts even if they offer. If Patricia leaves then Josh is the undisputed heir apparent in New England should Belichick leave. That is better for him than the Colts gig potentially. We might get stuck with Vrabel. Lmbo.
That’s entirely possible. There are 4 vacancies and I think each one is waiting to hire a coach who is still coaching in the playoffs with Vrabel being a standby for a couple of the teams. Belichick could have indicated that he’s retiring soon and that may keep McDaniels around. Plus, he’ll be in high demand again after next season

In before people panic
I’m not panicking. I realize that anything can happen. Hell, didn’t Belichick resign from the Jets at his introductory presser? McDaniels could have verbally committed to the Colts and then change his mind and go to another team or stay with Patriots.
-
Mike Tirico just reported during halftime that sources have told Mike Florio that the Patriots are preparing for Patricia to leave and that McDaniels leaving is possible but not guaranteed.
-
It’s hard to say what’s going to happen until some of these other coaching jobs are filled. It seems like all of them have their eye on the same candidates. Who’s going to blink first?
