  1. The defense really needs to be stacked this season more than every. We do not need a repeat of the the 2008 season's 3-4 start. If Peyton is able to start in the season opener, he is not going to be crisp since he's gonna miss training camp and preseason. We really need a solid defense that can stop the run and give us as many possessions as possible so we don't get off to a slow start.

  2. Definately haven't gotten better, unfortunately. We need some serious help and depth on defense so there won't be a repeat on last season. Even with all of the injuries the offense still scored 27 points per game. Our defense before the injuries was still getting run all over.

  3. I'm sure that if the Colts wanted to go out and sign good, not great, free agents then they definately could make it work within the salary cap. The problem is that they do not want to do these things. They are going to stick to their philosophy and sign cheap UDFAs and other teams' leftovers, roll the dice, and hope they work out. Don't get your hopes up on getting a top tier DT or corner.

  4. I think most Colts fans are frustrated because the deficiencies are brought up every year and the team never seems to do anything about it. We can stop the run every year and we put the same players out there year after year and hope for a different result. We get our hopes up every year that we'll sign some much needed help and then we never get it.

  5. Hmmm strange, didn't know you can sue for damages unless damages are sufferred, which no player under a current contract negotiated under the terms of a cba, can demonstrate. Also, how can the suit be about a cba when the union is decertified and thus, the NFLPA cannot negotiate a cba? Of course, it's all a sham really, but whatever. I'm not going to get into an argument about "legal standing".

I agree with you 100%. One of the elements of breach of contract would be damages being suffered by the plaintiff. I think this whole lawsuit should be dropped. These 10 named plaintiffs are really being selfish. They are holding up the whole process for 1800 people. Really selfish IMO.

  6. We will definately see in the next coming days what really motivates Manning. Is it loyalty to the Colts, or is it money? There will be teams out there who will give away the farm to get Manning when the franchise tag is removed and he hits the free agent market. Tampa Bay has over $50 million it has to spend and Cincinatti also has over $30 they have to spend to be in compliance with the new salary cap rule. There are other teams that will dump other players to free cap room for Manning. Indy doesn't have enough cap space to sign Manning to the contract he wants and be active in the free agent market. I, for one, am a little nervous about this whole situation.
