  1. Maybe u never heard what Basket admitted to after he left us and was resigned by eagles,

He actualy said he secured the ball, heard all the colt players saying its Colts ball, so he just let go and tried to get up.

He said he never realized to wait for the whistle & refs to take the pile apart

and for sure he has seen enough plays to know to wait for ref to take pile of players off anmd see who is left with ball in the scrum and whistle it dead & signal

NOT A SUPRISING< McNab u remember while an Eagle didnt know a game could end in a tie, What did the Eagles teach there players

Why didn't he just get up with the ball?

  2. Not what the surgery was for this time around. check facts plz

Its also not selfish to want him back. Oblivious fans don't realize that we possibly have 3-4 years left with Peyton now. If we can get him for even a portion of this year and go on a run we will be fine. Have faith.

Check your facts. That was the whole reason he had an additional surgery...the nerves were not regenerating properly.

  3. Pretty painful to watch all of this go down. If Peyton is out for an extended period of time then our chances of making the playoffs are slim to none, but the good news is we can get a head start on the draft.

Before my homerism kicks in and I start believing we can actually win every game, I want to have an objective view - If the bad years taught me anything it is that I will try to "reason and argue" why we can win every game even with the 1991 Colts (which I did).

I have a bad feeling that Peyton might not play all season. I hope I am wrong. If it is what's needed then we should just put him on IR so he can heal the way he needs to.

I won't make a prediction with Peyton, but without him here you go:

    Wk	Game Stadium Prediction
1 IND @ HOU Reliant Stadium LOSS
2 CLE @ IND Lucas Oil Stadium LOSS
3 PIT @ IND Lucas Oil Stadium LOSS
4 IND @ TB Raymond James Stadium LOSS
5 KC @ IND Lucas Oil Stadium LOSS
6 IND @ CIN Paul Brown Stadium WIN****
7 IND @ NO Superdome LOSS
8 IND @ TEN LP Field LOSS
9 ATL @ IND Lucas Oil Stadium LOSS
10 JAC @ IND Lucas Oil Stadium LOSS
    11
12 CAR @ IND Lucas Oil Stadium WIN****
13 IND @ NE Gillette Stadium LOSS
14 IND @ BAL M&T Bank Stadium LOSS
15 TEN @ IND Lucas Oil Stadium WIN****
16 HOU @ IND Lucas Oil Stadium LOSS
17 IND @ JAC EverBank Field LOSS

On the bright side if we do lose Peyton for the season then we will have some great draft picks plus the world will finally see how important Peyton really is to our team. No way we win double digits without Peyton like the Pats did without Brady.

BLEEDING BLUE ALL THE WAY THROUGH!!!

    GO COLTS!!!

Peyton Manning - Comeback Player of the Year in 2012!!!

I would agree with you if Painter was our only option. I think overall the team has more talent on both sides of the ball than they've had in awhile. Management was either caught off guard by Peyton's slow recovery or they had too much faith in Painter and they waited too long to get Collins in the mix. Should be much better stopping the run and should be better running the ball with a true fullback now. We should be able to grind out some tough victories.

  4. Who knows, lots of guys talk to reporters as long as they don't give up who they were. That's why he said sources. My guess is it wasn't a Polian and they control what comes out in terms of offical news which is why it wont be released as offical news.

It was Painter who told Mort that Peyton probably wasn't going to play week 1. :huthut:

  5. I don't see what all the fuss is about. If Peyton cannot go, Collins will play with simplified playbook. Would you rather have a complex playbook run by Painter or a simplified playbook run by Collins until Peyton returns?

  6. Peyton's problem is nerve related. From all I've read, no amount of rehab can make nerves regenerate any faster. The good thing about his injury is that once the nerves regenerate it's not very likely that they would be reinjured. I still think the Colts organization got caught with it's pants down. They should have been more prepared to play without Peyton by having a more capable backup QB and a better offensive line.

  7. We have a good coach who has made some stupid decisions. He's only been a coach for 2 years, and he's already been to a SB. All he needs is experience.

I seriously doubt that experience will help Caldwell any at all. He already stated that the stupid decisions that he made were good decisions and he would make the same decisions again if given the chance. As long as Peyton wins games, Caldwell will be coaching. When Peyton leaves or if he starts to seriously decline, Caldwell will be out the door.

  8. I've been watch ESPN all morning and nothing has been said about Polamalu possible being traded. They said Steelers were trying to get all of their free agents signed before they started working on contract extensions. Didn't even say that Polamalu was evening complaining about it.

  9. As long as we can run the ball and stop the run, I'm not too worried about Peyton. I'm sure they're going to downplay his recovery with the media as usual. Peyton playing at 80% is still better than a lot of other QBs playing at 100%.
