Genuine question.......would the highest levels of the Colts tell him yet if it wasn't signed, sealed and delivered anyway?

That's true......but at some point being a GM you surely have to take some risks with players that will push us forward rather than maintaining the status quo......which is middle of the road currently. But I appreciate there are still opportunities to do this as it stands......I'm just not confident we will.

Is the depth we've added better than the depth last year? And young guys having another year doesn't necessarily equate to improving a team. Kind of feel were in the treading water phase

So...........have we improved for the 40 mill or so spent then?

I'm fine with resignings but they just helped us reach mediocrity this year......I want some signings that will improve us.

Maybe he just thinks they're all replaceable with upgrades in this free agency class......

Tbh I remember thinking back to the draft and if it would have come down to us picking between AR and Stroud I wanted us to go with Stroud. But I was fine with the AR pick once Stroud was off the board and it's not like I was banging the drum to trade up for him......if I was the Panthers fan base on the other hand I'd probably be just a little downbeat in particular if the rumours were true that it was the owner wanted Young and internally they wanted Stroud. And they gave up Moore and draft capital to be in that position.....I'd be gutted tbh!

I'm not saying he isn't good......just that he hasn't lived up to the expectations coming out of the draft.....

It's a heartbreaker knowing we were potentially a properly executed play away from winning the division but on the flip side we were just one properly executed play away from winning the division with a team most say has plenty of holes to fill and lacks talent and has bad coaches! And also hasn't had the high draft capital the Jags and Texans have had over the years.

On a side note I don't think Lawrence has lived up to his hype......

Well it's a tougher schedule on paper.....but it's tougher for the Jags, Texans and Titans as well.

Yourself and quite a few others seemed to have no issue with Goodson several weeks ago and were singing his praises when we won and would have been again if he'd caught the ball......the play call did exactly what it was supposed to do as everyone can see. It was on the players not the coach, plenty of crucial plays on every team have been run by depth players and successfully executed.

Kinda assume people just look at a stats sheet and decide if someone's had a good game!!

Maybe the NFL should work on making officials more accountable for their decisions.......like releasing reports on their calls so it's more clearly understood why they make them! Then everyone could know what they're seeing when they throw a flag on an uncatchable ball.....

Has any team been shown to have actually tanked a season.......I mean even if the top brass wanted it how do you go about convincing the players?!......"Hey guys, here's an idea...why don't you all just tank the season after 5 games and look terrible in the process therefore affecting your future chances financially so we can have high picks next year and hopefully replace a fair few of you while you all look worthless?......any takers?!"

The Saints game is winnable to......they haven't looked that good so far bar today but the Pats look a mess offensively.

We're not winning the Superbowl this season whatever happens so with a young team I'm not gonna get too high with the wins and too low with the losses it's all about the experience and how they fare in the face of adversary.........and in that sense they proved they have the heart and stomach for a fight today. Yes there were plenty of mistakes to be shared around everyone tbh....missed catches, missed goals, points not taken when they should have been, not the right play calling with under 2 mins to play, blown coverages but we were still took the game to overtime. And sure he's a work in progress but AR showed a great deal of maturity and leadership in that game so that's really what I wanted to see.

As someone who doesn't get stuck into the detail with PFF I kind of wonder how all these grades translate into the reality of a game.....I mean if you just read these grades without knowing the score you'd probably think we'd lost!

We beat the Ravens on the road and stayed competitive throughout yet the negative comments are still out in force within minutes of the end of the game.......I'm all for objective analysis but let's just enjoy the win for a day at least first lol

Honestly..........i didn't even bother reading this because Harry Potter has more chance of appearing as the Jets QB.....it's less than fantasy! And anyone who has seen a picture of Luck these days know from his stature and build he has no intention of being anything but a husband and father! This gets churned out at least once a season!

Taking 3 points on a 4th down inside the 20 seems like a dying art form these days.......head coaches seem to feel they have to be super aggressive constantly......."just take the damn points"

I mean.......she could be right with the floor tbh........but could be well off with the ceiling! I think the Colts will be a proper boom or bust team this year being so young and with AR under centre......if he catches on fast we could hit that ceiling!

Most likely late as the discussion on which WR to cut next over ran!!
