  1. I have to say for me is the 2006 playoff game @ Baltimore. The rivalry was being cooked up and I was the lone Colts fan with a PM jersey on sitting next to my dad. The game went like I said it would (game of field position) and the fans couldn't stand it. At the end of the game I went to stand up in my victory stance and I heard "Sit down ***hole." Ravens fans were pretty fun and professional though.

I also remember walking into school and everyone giving me a look. And one of my friends walked up to me and simply said "**** you!" and walked away lol.

  2. If you're playing with the Colts and want a stronger d-line, what I fo is move redding to the NT and have nevis and moala play the ends. The results are drastic. It makes it harder for the opposing team to run up the middle, pushing them to outside where yo have speedsters freeney and mathis who both can chase down those fast RB's, and if it's a bruiser, they'll slow them down and help should be on its way.

  3. I'm mad that they're blaming Freeney for our lost to the Saints in the Super Bowl. Yeah he had a bum ankle, so what? He still managed to take that lineman for a ride into Brees.

Freeney is one of the LAST people I blame for our loss to the Saints. But 2 names come to mind if they really want to play the "Blame Game".

    1. Hank Baskett

    2. Jacob Lacey

I'll do you one better, how about playing a vanilla defense that Drew Brees ate apart. He threw underneath routes and comebacks the entire game and we let him. Or how about running the clock out before halftime leaving a 2-minute drill on the field? Too many things went wrong up top before we can even place blame on the players. Hank Baskett catching that ball would have only covered up what the coaches didn't do.

On a totally unrelated note, on radio, I heard that Jake Scott does not want to come back and play unless it is for a deal that does not shortchange him.

I don't know why we ever let him go in the first place. He was a good lineman. Line hasn't been right since. Isn't that when we had Tarik, Saturday, Scott, Diem, AND Lilja!?! We never should have let go Lilja and Scott.

  4. My notes:

    - i have no problem with the infinity engine until it comes to open-field tackling, everyone has said it feels like you are running into to people and not tackling. the game moves WAY too fast, i find myself lining the ballcarrier up only to run right past him at full speed.

    - when it comes to playing pass defense, the AI is still slow (or maybe our corners are that bad). I don't know how many times I tell my corners to press and come up to the line of scrimmage only for them to somehow end being 10yds away from the WR on a comeback route.

    - zone still sucks, the computer doesn't even play their zones or follow the people, they just sit there. it's no point in playing zone on this game.

besides those things, i am satisfied with this game.

  5. Last I looked Franklin was in SD. I wanted us to sign him in the offseason.....if he gets released they'd be wise to at least take a look at him. I mean, the dude was a beast at Nose a couple years ago, he can't have regressed too much.

I was mad we couldn't get him also. But then I was happy when we signed McKinney. Then I was sad again when we McKinney. :sigh:

  6. I was going to to get it at midnight release also. Me and my friend was going to get it together but he bluffed me out and did not pick up his phone. So I decided I'll just study some more and pick it up from gamestop when the store opens. This will be the first Madden I have bought in 3 years. I have been protesting Madden but when I played the demo, I felt that my wants may have been answered.

  7. People are still accustomed to the Polian regime where we held onto our draft picks and only spent money on our players. The type of regime we have now is the one I have been waiting for, the type that builds a team through median possible. As the OP said, don't worry about the pick going away because we will have money to get nice players in FA. This isn't the NBA, the players here follow the money, not the market. And to be honest, the only valuable pick we gave away was the 2nd pick for VD but we won't miss that pick unless VD does not transpire or gets hurt. We will be something we haven't been in years, heavy players in the FA. With the CBA, a lot of players will be looking for a big pay and with players like Shonne Greene, Steve Smith, Bowe, Wallace, Jeff Otah, Jake Long, TJ Lang, Glenn dorsey, Shaun Phillips, Brian Urlacher, Brian Laurinatis, and a load of corners, we will have a lot of chances to fill needs and holes.

Look how the Lions built their team. They drafted Stafford, Fairley, & Suh, kept notable players (like Megatron) and filled the roster with FA, trades, and young players. We will probably follow the same model. I think we have our NT's with Mckinney (sad he's hurt) and Chapman. We need LB's, OL's, and a DE.

Not saying we need to buy out the FA, but if we spend money on the RIGHT players then we will be ok.

  8. The key is getting solid players and people that fit your scheme...this was a 4-3 team built to play with a lead so you'd think the transition to a 3-4 hybrid scheme wouldnt happen over night. Don't get too caught up in having a top 10 talent at each position. Impact players will do just fine. Also calling Angerer at future top 10 LB is a bit of a stretch. Sure people like throwing out the Zack Thomas label but he isn't Zack. With the play of Freeman and Conner you can see he can be replaced with little of to no let down. I think the true Mike for this DEF isnt on the roster yet.

We have some good players at key positions. Like you said, we need to get more players that fit our scheme, and that's why I said if we build right. If Angryman continues to play at the level he did last year, he will no doubt become a tackling machine and a top 10 LB.
