  1. Let's be honest. There is an elephant in the room that you (and everyone else that throws this concept out) are choosing to ignore. Hint: he has a big forehead and his initials are P.F.M.
  2. Just sharing this to revisit. Many on this forum said absolutely not! Diva. Drama queen. Would rather draft Bowers or a receiver at 15.
  3. the only one’s saying the year will be a waste is you and your negative Nancy cronies on here. No one in the organization thinks this year is going to be a waste. Regardless of what madden video game roster building other teams in the division are conducting.
  4. That’s a big ego to satisfy. Is he even wr1 there? How does that make Tank Dell and Niko Collins better? I’m not sure it does. Texans have a gm that is willing to part with /reduce the usage of their in-house talent for more star power. Bold strategy… we’ll see. Hope Diggs takes his drama to Houston. No reason to change now.
  5. have to play Saturday first. It’s named madness for a reason. I never count out anybody. NC state nor Alabama. What a twist that would be for the national championship.
  6. potential to be better over time, possibly. But no one at 46 is stepping in next year better than either of those. Name them so we can judge…
  7. Table is set for the draft. I think anyways. I’m not sure there will be any more moves beforehand.
  8. I hope he stays healthy, hits them all and helps this defense get on track. I like Julian. He’s just had a lot of unfortunate bad luck with injuries.
  9. I would love to see his investment portfolio. You just know he has been watching his money grow in an s & p index fund since he arrived in 2017. Up 125% since his arrival.
  10. Seems to be major incentive based. I would assume availability being a big one. Hope he hits the full amount. Maybe it’s a- hey you get an opportunity to hit 7 mil but also a long term deal if we can keep you on the field and continue growing. I thought he played well last year. it’s a weird situation with cross though. I think they like him, but Blackmon is clearly better and they are both better at strong safety.
  11. Future lines have UConn as a 5.5 point favorite over Purdue.
  12. This forum is social media by definition. But I don’t disagree… Now I’m sad that I don’t get that dopamine rush… 😔
  13. they will have to shoot the ball well. If they can match, or preferably best UConn’s three ball, and try to keep it a battle in the paint, then they will have a chance. If they aren’t hitting shots, it won’t be a good game. that’s assuming the win Saturday. They play the games for a reason.
  14. Talented, well coached, and star power leadership on the floor. Can overcome a lot of issues. I wouldn’t say they can’t beat Iowa. I don’t think Iowa’s good outside of Clark. My wife kept saying lsu had the better team, Iowa just has Caitlin Clark. Well do they really have the better team then? I’ve never seen a player like her. She has the green light this weekend, in my book. I don’t know why you would shoot the ball unless you were wide open with a good percentage. Otherwise, a contested shot 5 feet behind the three point line by Clark is more effective.
  15. they got it done. Should be a great final four. Bueckers/Clark- whooa.
  16. It is telling how little news there has been that these threads have news ONLY as the title, and there is still nothing but discussion. There is no news… only bad news on this day.
  17. Ballard on Brents having a unique blend of size, length, and athleticism for the cornerback position: “There are not a lot of guys 6'3" playing corner in the league, but he is a really good athlete. He’s a really good fit for what we want to do because he’s a press corner. We do want to play a little more press coverage. We think he’s going to be really good at it. He’s got some unique traits. He’s a really good athlete and for a tall kid he can really change direction. We’re excited about it. We think he’s a really good fit for the defense.” Sounds like a good safety for us… If only you were general manager for our beloved Colts.
  18. he generally stays out of foul trouble. He plays intelligent enough to avoid being in bad position, and uses his length instead to contest shots. His passing is what makes him most dangerous. Teams have to honor it, although Tennessee should have forced him to pass more, with the way their shooters weren’t connecting. I would rather die by someone else’s three ball than give up three point plays to Edey all night, fouling your guys out and creating easy free throws the last 6 plus minutes of the game.
  19. surely Brents wasn’t drafted in the 2nd round as a corner, starting his rookie year at the position to be converted to a safety… But go on with your football knowledge for all of us to laugh at. 😂
  20. Hard to believe. Loved Vontae. So sad. https://youtu.be/uh2Vqd0vZMo?si=oGYLc8YkB4Lb7kRj Forever one of my favorite Colts memories. Had a great view of this at LOS. What a great football player for us.
  21. I would rather hope, if drafting Mitchell, the FO would bring a vet in at safety and make Flowers/Jones compete for the 3rd spot (not factoring Moore at the nickel). Brents is a starting corner moving forward, I don’t see anyway around that.
  22. They have showed a lot of resolve coming back from the loss last year. Purdue does it the right way. Dan Dakich had a great take on their program compared to IU’s.
