  1. Freeman is not the problem with this Defense. The problem with this D is no edge/pass rushers. No effective Nose tackle. And lastly and most importantly a hard hitting Safety. When Ray Lewis was in his prime. The reason why he was so good was because of his DT's in front of him. Am I comparing RAY RAY with Freeman---NO. But I think the Colts got the right guy at the LB spot. With that said I would like the Colts to bring in DT, two edge/pass rushers(not for sure of Mathis health going forward) and O-Guard in Free Agency, and draft everything else.

Agreed! I actually think freeman is a good player, but even ray lewis would look average when olinemen are in his face every freaking running play. Its like our LBs in this defense play the actual D-line Lol. I say fix the trenches on each side of the ball and you have a completely different team!
  2. Ok so I was reading an I saw that luck is still under contract and technically we don't have to pay him that mega contract .. I think if we hold off and surround him with acouple more pieces we can make a Super Bowl run . Sometimes winning superbowls is the players understanding what the gm needs to make a Super Bowl team .. Money is the key look at Tom Brady he's the king of taking pay cuts hence the reason of his rings .. Peyton manning has done it but not nearly enough .. I wouldn't like to see luck go that route he looks like a team guy and you can tell he loves to win . Are offense is stellar we need a big play wr Ty opens the field but we someone who can help take away the double team . The O line isn't great but it's not that bad center and right guard . Here's the real problem the defense I like Arthur jones ,vonte Davis , mike Adams , newsome and Werner .. Everyone else bye .. The defense can be fixed this year not taking the eye popping guy who wants to kill are cap . I would like something like Arthur jones , Dan Williams (FA) , Jordan Philips (draft) , also there's proven linebacker David Harris would love him he said he'd take a pay cut for a contender ... Maybe draft a corner in the second rd .. I don't like the idea of drafting a rb high this year a guy like Ingram or spiller would do fine fix the line they'll be fine .. All this doesn't happen if your not a team player .. If we go in with this same defense what's the point of watching ..

what makes the patriots the better team is exactly what makes the seahawks a good team. GREAT DRAFTING it seems like they hit on every single pick. We have polian and now grigson that haven't hit on every pick like they do. Also there coaches know how to properly scheme to mask there players weaknesses whatever thay may be.
  3. I think Perryman is extremely talented. Best word for him is Destroyer. Whatever he hits, he destroys. He might be the best tackler in the draft in terms of technique. He's not a guy who will ever whiff on a tackle. If Perryman is there, he will make the tackle 99% of the time. He also has outstanding instincts and can not only see, but sense where the ball is or is going. He can go sideline to sideline.

His biggest flaw is obviously his height. 5'10" officially at the Senior Bowl. He isn't a guy you can put in coverage on a TE and there will be questions as to whether he can shed blocks at the next level against bigger blockers. Honestly though, if he was 6'2", you'd be talking about him as the best ILB in the class. Most people like McKinney because of his ridiculous size and speed, but reports say he can't cover either. Perryman is a thumper in a 3-4 for sure. He's just not a coverage guy, but then again not many ILBs are these days.

I like Perryman and Kendricks, and they both might be better than McKinney.

wasn't there also a short inside backer last year that nobody wanted because of his size?. But then the 49ers selected him and he turned into a beast for them. Chris Borland is the name if I remember right.
  4. Got bored and figured I'd do another one today.

    Previous Installments:

    Todd Gurley, RB, Georgia

    Melvin Gordon, RB, Wisconsin

    Jay Ajayi, RB, Boise State

Games watched: vs Nebraska, vs Virginia, vs Duke

    The Good:

Fantastic speed. He's a homerun threat. All he needs is one lane. Legit 4.3 guy. He has one speed - fast.

Slipper runner. Often making defenders pay for diving tackle attempts.

Killer lateral agility. Ability to cut on a dime and make you miss in a phone-booth. Elusiveness off the charts. Deadly on the edges. Look at him put a clown suit on this Oklahoma DB:

    Bonus clip:

Pass catching skills are top-notch. So good that Miami would even line him up as a WR on some plays.

Hell of an arm. Trick play potential?

Shown ability as a returner. Had a KR TD vs Virginia in the 1st quarter and another long return in the 4th. Showing great vision along with superb athleticism.

    Doesn't shy away from contact.

    Great vision for cutback lanes.

    Great vision period.

Surprisingly decent pass blocker for a back his size. Look at him loop back and re-direct this edge rusher.

    The Bad:

Size is definitely a concern. 5'9 and around 190 lbs. Will he be able to take a beating at the NFL level?

Won't be a very powerful runner at the next stage.

Going back his size, he gets destroyed sometimes by large linebackers. Often times looking like a grenade exploded in front of him (to borrow a metaphor from Superman).

    The Ugly:

Nothing really. Aside from his size, Johnson is a very good RB prospect who does everything well. Injury concerns are legit though. He got banged up a few times in college.

    Conclusion:

Aside from size, Duke Johnson excels at almost everything you look for in a runningback. He'll never be a dominant down hill runner or goal-line back, but Johnson is an amazingly elusive, amazingly fast offensive weapon, who, if he was a little larger, might be getting 1st round buzz. With his size, he'll never be an every down player. He'll unfortunately have to be in a system that uses a multi-back system. He's a perfect fit for New Orleans and can fill the void left by Darren Sproles.

    Position Rank: 4

    Projected Round: 2nd

    NFL Comparison: CJ Spiller, Buffalo/FA

Next up: TJ Yeldon, RB, Alabama

what do you think of ameer abdullah? I would love the colts to get him!
  5. Okay, it now seems most everyone is in agreement. This is clearly on Brady..

What do you all think the proper punishment should be...??? And Will be....??

My guess is, Brady will take the responsibility, be given a Fine. Kraft will pay the fine.... and all will be rosy again in time for the SB.

    Pathetic.

yep the crafty organization that is using goodell. Will walk away from another cheating scandel..... All I got to say is ****!
  6. To be fair, he also only threw seven interceptions, rushed for 849 yards, and had an additional six rushing touchdowns. He plays on a team where the only real weapons are Lynch, the defense, and himself. I think he probably deserves whatever they're going to throw at him...but I hate to think what that's going to do for Luck's deal!

that's why we have to get lucks deal done before his! Lol
