  1. How so? We see that stuff happen all the time in the NFL, and college, that's the whole reason players transfer from smaller to bigger more accomplished schools, players that are average can be great with the right team/Coaches around them.

why compare him to Burrows? To say he doesn’t have the same talent is why his stats aren’t even close to Burrows is the worst argument. Burrows plays way better competition weekly. Still has to make the plays happen as well. Love will get drafted higher than his skill set. That happens every single year. But to try and compare him to a better talent because LSU recruits better than USU is a flawed argument.

  2. love is awesome, dude is going to be the next great QB in the NFL, if he had the talent level that burrow has around him, my God. Imo he won't make it out if the top 15 picks in the draft. Lord help us all if the patriots grab him, he is Patrick mahomes 2.0, from a small school, overlooked but has amazing arm talent. I hope we are smart enough to grab him with our first round draft pick.

14 catches and 275 yards is still better than anything Campbell provided. 6 games with Marcus as a starter.

I'm not saying he's not better than Campbell, but do you think those stats would be as good as they are today if Mariota didn't get benched? It's an interesting question. Plus it's hard to have a fair comparison only because campbell was injury prone for whatever reason this year. When he played he showed promise, but time will tell. I definitely think we still need a WR in this draft or free agency. And brissett as much as I hate to say it, is just plain bad.

I completely agree with this. I feel that the Titans (and Texans to a degree) have been somewhat overrated all season, no disrespect to them and how far they have gotten.  But I think both the Texans and Titans have been able to take advantage of our misfortune, and that is no fault of theirs, it is on the Colts for not being able to adjust and still control our division despite Luck. Not saying that either team does not have strengths on their side, but... most can agree that if Luck was still our QB, the story of the AFC South this season would likely have played out differently.

All this hype over the Titans and Texans will make things very interesting in our division come next season though. They will both come into the season feeling very good about their performance this year, and feeling very confident they can continue to run the division with the weapons they have. It will be our job to knock both teams back in their place. I know a lot of fans do not think we will be able to get that done for several years, and I understand why they feel that way, but I am hopeful!

Not just our misfortune but the jags have QB problems too, if foles stayed healthy they look like the stronger team in the division.

Watch out, if the colts and jags get a good QB in the draft the AFC south will get shaken up. What a great time to be a football fan for teams in a competitive AFC south, two of the final four teams in the AFC playoffs are from our division. Man that feels great to say.

  5. I agree! .. but hard to do when it's obvious the league wants the Texans in the playoffs over us. The penalties called against us in the broncos game and now the Pittsburg game were utterly rediculous, and the penalties not called on the opposing teams were also uninspired. But I get it, it's all a game within a game, boiled down to dollars.

There is a reason the NFL is sports entertainment and not competitive sports.

WWE my friends. Okay, maybe not that bad, but you get the picture.

  6. The only three teams I know that gave them trouble played the that tight press style of defense when they played the patriots, the jags, the broncos and the Seahawks. So I think if you stand a chance play that style of defense against them. How teams don't get that concept, I'll never figure out. Not man to man, but press, man to man.

But Darnold has also had Luck like games as well so he isn’t a terrible QB. The pats have the #1 defense don’t they? I mean, I’ll give Darnold a pass on this game this early on in his career.

I swear the pats have technology that is intercepting the other teams communications. No way they are this solid for this long using cast offs from other teams in the process. That team stinks of something and I hope someday, it gets exposed.

Just once I wish a coach playing against the Pat's would put in all his third stringers on defense for the patriots first drive. And told them to do everything they could to the offensive players of the patriots, just start a brawl, something that says, I'm not scared of you! ... What can I say? It's a fantasy of mine haha

Because every team that plays them looks so intimidated, punch em in the mouth and get some of that fire back for crying out loud.

I am sick of hearing Eberfluse use the term "effort problem" when talking about our defensive issues.  That is such a lazy coaching answer.  Our team is so worried about getting a loaf that they over purse on almost every play.  The end around was Gruden exploiting this issue.

I mean he is the coach, maybe he knows something we don't? Over pursuit is also a form of lack of effort. Do your job,and responsibility on the play, that's what this defense is about. Trusting your teammates, and what I see out there right now, is they don't trust there teammates so they over pursue trying to make a play. Most likely is due to having 3 or 4 rookies out there on D.

  9. I'm not sure it's any one particular issue, look at the rams, they have Aaron Donald on that line and their defense has been struggling. I think it's more of an effort problem, the D line just doesn't look explosive as it did, I'm not sure if it's because turay isn't playing as much snaps as he was or not. But he was pretty good when he was rushing the passer.

I know a lot of you Colt's fans think the sky is falling etc but I honestly don't think you have anything to worry about at the QB position. I really believe you have a franchise QB already on your team and thats Kelly. And for those of you that are doubtful, you won't be for long, once he gets on the field.

I watched Kelly in college, if he can keep his head in the right spot, this Guy can ball, he was amazing, and not just against poor competition. Absolutely fantastic arm talent and one heck of an athlete.
