  1. "Need two to tango." That's why you dabble in free agency occasionally, Chris, because, you know, you can't do everything in the draft.
  2. Maybe 7th time will be the charm for Ballard at pass rusher.
  3. Dobbs doesn't strike me as being team president/GM material, and the fact that there has been little movement, little evolution in Ballard's approach in 8 years, tells me Dobbs is more of a yes man, a rubber stamp man. Other teams can see that. If Dobbs, or anyone, were actually challenging Ballard from time to time, you might see a change in approach occasionally.
  4. I'm starting to understand why Ed Dodds hasn't gotten a job.
  5. The burning toaster - every scout got one, to commemorate the play of our secondary in 2023.
  6. Ballard’s pressers used to be appointment TV. I made it through about 4 minutes of this one. That was enough.
  7. Pre-Peyton, Indianapolis was a basketball city, by a mile. It then did a 180, becoming a football city, by a mile. The post-Luck - it's so tired. Ballard is boring people to death, doing his best to turn Indy back into a basketball city.
  8. Back to Houston and Stroud. If Stroud becomes what he looks like he will become while Richardson busts due to injury or poor play, 15 years from now, that decision is all Ballard will be remembered for. It's his approach in general - sit back and take no risks. Let it come to you. Ballard's record - Leonard and Nelson looked like amazing picks at the time, but it was short-lived. Ballard hit on Taylor, but even that turned into a mess. There isn't much else to jump up and down about, honestly - a few nice picks here and there. Not much success on the field either. At some point, your record is what it is.
  9. And they make it up on the spot - ask the first thing that pops into their heads.
  10. He does, but for whatever reason, no one uploads the video. It appears there won't be much of anything new to talk about.
  11. The bigger point should be that we have arrived at a place where 10-7 would feel like a major accomplishment, a major success. If that's the case, and it is, you're on the wrong path.
  12. You don't have to go classic Dan Snyder, but throwing the fans an occasional free agency bone is good for business. Excite the fan base a little and keep them interested. This is the least interest I've had in an offseason and draft since I don't know when.
  13. And they flame out in the tournament practically every year. In the post-Luck era, people are jaded. It feels like it's going nowhere.
