Don’t forget about Evan Hull who they lost for the year in the season opener but was impressive in the pre-season. Sermon had a nice run today but 27 of his 32 yards for the day came on that carry, he average about 1 yard a carry on the rest of his handoffs.

He did it multiple times but the one that jumped out was when they showed the fan in a 2 jersey and they turned around and it was Wentz and tiki and the play-by-play guy made fun of him for the kid not having a Ryan jersey and Ryan said “my jersey wasn’t the best selling jersey last year” or something to that effect.

That’s the high character thing Ballard likes that some were complaining about Ballard last year for. Let’s say the Colts didn’t trade back last year and took Pickens like some fans wanted and let’s just say for argument sakes they asked him to do what Pierce has been asked to do and let’s just say it’s all the QB do you think Pickens would behave the way Pierce has? I doubt it. Character matters and I am sure that was a big part of why the Colts decided to target Pierce over Pickens last year.

I would too I just don’t see a lot of other matchups they might go with because they will want a game with playoff implications. all the other AFC games minus the Bills and Miami depends on what the Colts and Texans do or what Buffalo and Miami does. They could go Packers and Bears as that’s always a popular match up and Packers will be in a win and you are in situation baring huge comeback by the Vikings. The other matchup could be the Cowboys to see if the wrap up the two seed and that’s just because ESPN loves them some Cowboys.

I don’t get how you get that at all. He said several very nice things about the Colts in the two games he’s done and has made fun of his own performance last year in both. I found Ryan to be very good and one of the better color guys that’s done a Colts game this year. He was all over the Pierce play and spot lighted what a lot of fans have been saying they see with him that’s been ignored by everyone else.

I don’t doubt it. If the Colts had to play tomorrow I’d bet he wouldn’t play but give him a week of treatment and the fact the season is on the line I’d bet he does everything to be out there.
