  1. Very good post. I've always held off on being too critical of the Giants as I don't want to appear to be a bitter Patriots fan (though I suppose I am just that... I'll always feel like NY "stole" two SBs from them, especially the first one... helmet catch and all that jazz, etc).

But really, what the heck? They are a schizophrenic group. Eli looked anything but elite this year and for reasons known only to Tom Coughlin and a higher power, their defense just goes to sleep for stretches of games or entire weeks.

I'd always be wary of them IF they get into the postseason, because they've shown twice now that they can get hot at the right time and do lots of damage. But the years in between this must be maddening for Giants fans.

I'll always say that if it weren't for a division being ran by Jerry Jones, Dan Synder and Andy Ried, they would not win anything.

Eli looks good in a few games and they are ready to crown him a Hall of Famer, then he throws 3 or 4 INTs in the next game. Look at his 2010 season and then this season. Not much of a difference except in one he was the leading player in turnovers.

Coughlin is a joke too but the bigger joke is their offensive coordinator. Kevin Gilbride single handedly destroyed the most prolific passing offense in the NFL back in the early 90's when he took control of the Oilers. It just sickens me that he is considered a success with 2 rings now because he was awful with the Oilers. You can blame that Buffalo playoff game 100% on his play calling. Jerry Glanville would have made them run the ball with that big of a lead.

  2. Romo fought vs the Saints, he really did. But at some point, his D needs to step it up and they have the man CBs to match up with Julio Jones and Roddy White if both Brandon Carr and Morris Claiborne are healthy.

On the flip side, I do think Matt Ryan is due like Peyton who went 0-3 in the playoffs in his first 3 games and then won 2 in a row before losing in the AFCCG to the Pats. If he wins 2 this time, Ryan is in the SB.

Bogie would hate it if it were Broncos vs Falcons in the SB, he would not know who to root for, LOL!!! :)

Saints fans cannot stand the fact that a division rival could win the SB in their backyard, I totally understand that!!!

Romo has really stepped up in the last few years. I predicted him to throw for 400 against our terrible secondary. I didn't get to sit home and watch this game sadly, I was shocked we won it. I had Dallas winning it.

I just don't see Atlanta going that far. Easiest schedule in the league and they have struggled against some teams they should be blowing out. I don't see Matt Ryan winning a playoff game. There is no excuses anymore. Those guys went 13-3 "best team in the league" in 2010 and with all that home field advantage, he stunk it up against a Packers team that really had no business even being there.

I think Denver did play Atlanta in the Super Bowl a while back. That was a boring game. Would have been more interesting if the Vikings made it that year.

  3. Overrated Overrated Overrated

    Here's how you know.

They have the #1 easiest schedule in the league. Despite that, their defense is still ranked 20th, and they get gashed to pieces by the passing game.

They can't run the ball and they are playing teams that they should be running it all over.

Matt Ryan is getting knocked around easily in every game. Wait till the Seahawks or Niners play them, he's really going to be taking pressure.

For the easiest schedule in the league, they shouldn't have struggled so hard against cup cakes like Arizona, Oakland, and the Lions still gave them a hard time.

One and done, as usual. This Falcons team is no different than the 2010 one. They went 13-3 on a very weak schedule, and then got blown out very bad in the first round. Matty Ice is a joke too. You know it kills me, that Roddy White pushes off EVERY play and no flags. They hold almost every run play, no flags. I have never in my life seen a team get away with that than I have this Falcons team, least penalized team in the league and if you watch them play, Roddy White pushes off a lot.

After tonight, I am 100% confident that both SF and SEA would blow them out. But my money is on the Packers, if Rodgers goes there, he's going to light that crappy secondary up. I'm talking a 40 point blow out repeat of the 2010 playoffs.

  4. OVERRATED. Yeah Giants defense that everyone thinks is so great is making Flacco look like vintage Bernie Kosar out there.

Playoffs? Forget it. Skins or Boys is the real contender for that super weak division.

  5. Looks like the team that is only worried about winning Super Bowls isn't worried about a game they need to make the playoffs. God this Giants team sucks. If I hear someone else tell me Coughlin is a HoF coach and Eli is a HoF quarterback I am going to lose my mind.

  6. Think was Rodney Peete , may have been Andre Ware but speaking of turnovers

In a  Detroit Suburb clothing store 1 of them tripped me to the floor coming out of a dressing room

Hahaha that's funny! I think they both played there, Ware before Peete. Peete could not stop turning the ball over, remember those 4 INT games very clearly.

  7. Calvin Johnson needs to demand a trade to the Colts. Vet minimum to play with Luck baby and win several titles!!!!

you are reminding me how I've been dreaming of Brees throwing TD's to Larry Fitzgerald...then I woke up and realized it was just the pro bowl a few years back.

  8. I didn't watch it. But, I kinda think it was obvious the Lions lose. I think they are getting worse almost every game. Heck I was one of the few who has us beating them this year I think. Of course I did not think it would come down to the final second but thats how we swing in Indy at times.

It would not be a normal NFL seeing without the Lions losing 10 games. I know I'm mean but it's the truth. I can think of 4 games off top of my head that they should have lost last year.

  9. No, nothing new...     a bit of spread option blended with Shanny misdirection/zone running principles.  ..

RG3 and KC are asked to make "ONE" read... . ,,,,     ONE ONLY>

Thus the horrible SKINS 3rd down%...     Indy is ....    what?

top 3?       I don't wanna be a hater...     but really?   The bottom line is "what do you do under pressure?"

The future isn't too bright for the Skins. I do not see them doing jack crap with RGIII in the future. All those draft picks are going to haunt them if the Rams start to truly compete for division titles in the future. The Niners are already 0-1-1 against Fisher's Rams, and that's a sign right there.

  10. The Falcons are going to choke hard in the playoffs. I just know that feeling, and it brings such joy to me.

For the last 4 years in a row

2008 Arizona beat them in wild card round = Super Bowl

2009 Saints sweep them and knock them out of playoff contention = Super Bowl win

2010 Packers stomp them into the ground after 13-3 season = Super Bowl win

2011 Giants shut them up in first round as Matt Ryan can only score 2 points = Super Bowl win

    2012 ?????????

The team that destroys Atlanta will reach the Super Bowl. If I was a Niners fan, I'd pray that they get into the Georgia Dome, and that's what GB fans need to be doing. They have not played a real team in MONTHS. Giants do not count, cause they are an average team as usual. Atlanta has the easiest schedule in the league, and still struggles to run the ball and on defense gives up gashes of yards. I can't wait to see them choke hard in the playoffs.

  11. Atlanta has the fewest penalties in the league. I have never in my life seen a team get away with holding and pushing off more than them. Despite the easiest schedule in the league, they can't run the ball. Watch them get blown out really bad in the playoffs as usual. Falcons suck. I hope it's 2010 all over again, give up 49 points to the Packers.
