  1. Which is embarrasing since this is the the LIONS not the Giants or Bears or something.

Oh man, Crosby just managed to get in a long FG. A small miracle....

It saddens me that Rodgers don't lead many come back wins in his career, and after all, it's been argued that they are not a cold weather team.

  2. I wish he would stop running around like that. He's been injured twice and it's only his rookie season. I am not a fan of the Skins, but you have to hate seeing these young kids come into the league so full of potential, and constantly get injured. Some of my favorite QB's probably would have lasted longer if they didn't take so many injuries.

  3. They started 4-0 and since then have went 0-10

I find it amazing, this is almost a mirror to the Bills of last year. They both started 4-0, both beat New England, and both lost so many in a row, I think Buffalo finished the season with only 1 more win after starting 4-0 but do the Cardinals even get that lucky?

Is there some curse with beating New England early and starting 4-0 that you are bound to lose the rest of the year? :ninja:

  4. Yes Colts fans, WATCH THE SAINTS DEFENSE.

You will FOREVER be grateful that you don't have 2 clowns in the secondary who just sling their body forward and don't know how to tackle.

You'll also be grateful you guys don't drop picks when you need them or get gashed for 50 yard gains on the ground, or constantly get burned by deep ball thanks to the secondary not caring who catches what.

And BTW it's even more embarrassing when every other Saints fan I know, is still caught up on conspiracies, and how "we can still make the playoffs" This team is 5-8 and they really still want to make the playoffs. You should really hear them after all this how "we're gonna go into the playoffs and beat the 49ers in Candlestick" even AFTER they smoked us and beat us down in the Superdome.

This team deserved to have the score run up on them today after how bad this defense has looked all year, and for Saints fans to still say "we can go to the playoffs and win on the road" I guess it's the comedy of the year around the league, cause I know other fans are laughing at us.

  5. You should have heard it last week when I told so many people how bad this Saints defense was.

    "We stop the run"

"You can't say that, we were stopping the pass against SF"

    "We're not all that bad!"

Yeah not all that bad, and you get gashed for 52 points today, OH the irony! "We're still gonna make the playoffs!"

This Saints defense is AMAZING. Let me guess, they'll blame the refs or someone else for this game. I'm not complaining about the Giants running the score up, I'm actually laughing over here how pathetic this defense is and Saints fans have the nerve to defend them and call people like me band wagon jumpers for telling the truth.

  6. I think Luck eventually surpasses Brees as a 3rd down QB. The worst thing is, the Colts don't even have their coach and they are winning, we don't have Payton but it's no excuse really. I'm not going to make excuses for this team anymore. 3 games in a row, back to back to back poundings.

  7. They had a little segment on that. He'd just flip the ball to the ref and go to his teammates. One of his teammates was talking about how much they appreciated that. Pretty neat.

In the show, they kept talking about how Barry's dad felt Jim Brown was the greatest. Even at Barry's HoF induction his dad introduced Barry as the "3rd greatest RB of all time". He never did say who was 2nd....

Curtis Martin made his case on why Barry was the greatest, and he had a good point about Jim Brown simply being the biggest player in the game at that point in time. And how he wouldn't ness be able to play in the future years, where as he claimed Barry could play from the 1920s all the way till now. Which is something I'd agree with.

As for Emmit. I think he was great, but talk about having everything go your way as a RB. He was on arguably the greatest team of all time. With a great OL, QB, WR/TEs, and a good def...They also had a cool segment on Emmit breaking the record, in regards to Barry letting him "have it". He didn't deny it, but he tried his best to deflect it.

I'm going to have to try and catch that on TV next time. I remember that with Sanders' HoF induction. And totally yes, Emmit had everything going his way. The Moose to block him (greatest full back ever possibly) then all star WR's, a pro bowl QB, he was on one of the best teams ever, while Sanders was getting the ball handed off to him by Andre Ware and Rodney Peete.

  8. :hissy: I am still not even over that game and I am not even a Celtics fan. Between the FTs given to the Heat the whole game and the no call against Rondo in OT.....the classic "swing game" in an NBA series when they want to swing the series to one opponent; the Heat.

And don't forget the videos that showed how the Spurs got jobbed vs. the Thunder in game 6. They didn't want that going to game 7 in SA.

They wanted Durant vs. Lebron. Super star vs. Super star. And they got it. And they might get it again this year too. :shout:

As for the NFL since this is an NFL forum and it's a touchier subject, I try to keep some of my loopy occasional theories at times much more hidden. :goodluck: ;)

How many free throws did they shoot in that game? 47? 48? That alone shows you something was wrong, yeah that game was obvious. But so was the Thunder/Spurs Game 7, which i did not list. There's no way the Thunder come back like that without all the free throws given to them.

  9. If any league had the potential to be fixed it would be the NBA. Strictly because how much control those refs have.

How could you even fix the NFL?

The NBA has proved time and time again they are truly rigged.

    2000 Lakers/Trailblazers Game 7

    2002 Lakers/Kings Game 6

2006 Heat/Mavericks Game 5, 6, and 7, there is no way you'll ever convince me this was not rigged

    2011 Heat/Celtics Game 2
