  1. Beat the Raiders next weekend and it's 5-5 for the Saints. Too bad about the Chiefs game and the refs there. And the Packers game was there for the taking in the end.

At least the Saints are making this interesting for fans for the second half of the season.

It's a world of difference when you run the ball. I kept saying it over and over how overrated Atlanta really is.

  2. Just remember, we are the worst defense in the league and we held them on the goal line to win that game.

Atlanta = Overrated as usual. Go 13-3 and bomb it in the playoffs just like 2010

WE STILL OWN YOU ATLANTA WITH OR WITHOUT PAYTON!

  3. I doubt it, but they should have fired Ried last year. He'll forever be the reason they lost that Super Bowl to NE with his poor clock management.

Vick was a big no no, and they went for it anyway. Regardless of the o-line, this is nothing new. He's waiting to get hurt, and you have to admit, he does some of it to himself with the stupid running around instead of just throwing the ball.

The play calling is another thing, they will run over a hundred yards against teams and Vick is still throwing it, that is on Ried, with the play calling. Vick had no business what so ever throwing 50 passes against Cleveland when they rushed over 130.

Not to mention, that defense is a joke and they got rid of the scapegoat thinking their all star defense would pick up.

It's pretty darn easy for the Giants year in and year out when the division is ran by Synder, Jones, and Ried.

  4. GOOOOOO TEXANS!

The Bears defense looks scary, but remember they are playing weak teams. I expect this to be a blood bath. They nearly lost to Carolina who is one of the worst teams in the league, don't forget that one at all. if Newton wasn't in hero mode, constantly throwing it when they were up by a big lead, the Panthers probably would have walked away alive out of that one. His pick 6 totally changed the complex of that game.

  5. Shanahan can always thank Terrell Davis for those 2 Super Bowl rings. Same goes for Elway, he was just there for the ride in the end.

I knew this was going to happen, even before they gave up so much thinking Griffin was going to be the greatest thing ever. That team is riddled with problems and it starts up front; don't matter who the coach is, Dan Synder has proved over and over he's more worried about being an NFL owner and making money, than he is about winning. They had Marty Schottenheimer who had that team rolling, and it wasn't good enough for Synder, then I have to sadly admit, he's the only owner that fired Norv Turner at the wrong time.

  6. Interesting game. Patrick Robinson actually made some use of himself today with the 99 yard TD return. I was expecting more from the Eagles offense, expected them to totally carve us a new one, but oh wait..I had forgot, when the run is working for them, they rather dog killer air it out, so there goes my worries.

The Saints did something good tonight, which was called running the ball. Hopefully they seen how great it was and how it helped Brees, so maybe, just maybe they'll start running it more now, so I can watch Chris Ivory pick up some first downs.

  7. I am starting to really love this Colts team. They play like a team, with heart now. It's incredible, all this emotion built up in them. I really would love to see them in the playoffs now, this is a bright spot in my suffering through this horrible season watching the Saints go down.

  8. Not as much as going 0-16 would. When we were 0-13 last year I didn't care how we won a game I just wanted a win to avoid 0-16. I don't care if was straight up cheating I would have taken it last year!

Saints had that game won though, that's what angers me so bad. I don't ever want to see a team go 0-16 though, like the Colts last year, I was praying they would at least win a few.

  9. Michael does appear to have a fumble issue right now and he seems to be having an identity crisis about if he's a pocket passer or a running scrambler. Vick also holds onto the ball too long too in my view. That whole Eagle franchise is a dysfunctional mess. Yikes! Good luck Andy and Michael Vick. You're gonna need some divine intervention I think to come away with a W against Drew Brees. It won't end well for Reid or Vick IMO.

I'm just disappointed how the Saints played against Denver. it felt to me they just threw the towel in at halftime. There was no heart, no fire, nothing in them when the score was 17-7. They didn't even call a time out in the second half. That's what worries me. I can already see them going into this Eagles match and thinking "OK Let's Dan Marino it as usual" cause that's exactly what they do. They are only happy if Brees is throwing 40-50 passes a game. We'll do that same Marino offense even though Sproles and Thomas can chop up a lot of yards against the Eagles bad defense, they don't even bother. Pierre Thomas has been awesome the few times they try him, but then again they should know to run it with him. In the last 3 years, he's only fumbled once, and he's a great back.

Saints defense vs Vick is a nightmare....Just look at our back field, they don't have a clue what they are doing. Robinson, Harper, and Jenkins get burned so bad, it's not even funny. They can't tackle either, then get up and look like they are just lost as usual. We couldn't stop RGIII and that very predictable play calling they ran against us in the shot gun, and the run plays, I just don't feel good about this game.

Andy Ried is not a good coach to me anymore. The Eagles ran it all over the Browns and he had Vick throw it 50 times despite 4 INTs. They'll be doing that against us, but I know the Saints defense is just a joke. We can't get pressure, and we sure can't tackle.

  10. Over the years, the Chargers & A.J. Smith have proven time and time again that Eli Manning was 100% correct when he wanted no part of that franchise.

Until their owner fires that hard-headed and over-rated, king of no rings, A.J. Smith that franchise isn't going anywhere but maybe back to L.A.

When you fire Marty Schottenhiemer for losing in the playoffs, yet replace him with Norv Turner, and constantly give Norv a pat on the shoulder for being a yes man even though he's a loser, something is wrong. I think that's the real reason they got rid of Marty to start with, he was against them letting go of many of those players.

  11. We got a steal in Sproles to not even bother using him, but then again, Brees held out for more money, so I guess that explains why they love throwing it still, don't know.

We're not the only ones that thank the Chargers for great talent, just look around. If you put everyone in one team that A.J. Smith has ditched, you would have a Super Bowl roster.
