the most up & down QB player from week to week , ya never know what Giant team will show up and how Eli in particulat will play, many TDS or Many foolish IT's
I know man, and then people call him a future HoFer, like what? 2 rings or not, I'd take Brees before I vote Eli in there.
-
The numbers for Eli Manning always surprise me, especially when someone says he's a future HoFer.

AP deserves the MVP a lot more than Manning. Who has Denver beat that is any good? They get cup cake after cup cake on that weak schedule. They beat Baltimore, wow...a team that is pretty average this season. Peterson has really shocked me, and the rest of the league. Peyton is your comeback player of the year, Peterson MVP.
Defense know Peterson is going to get the ball and he's still running over them. if he breaks Eric Dickerson's record, I don't care what QB does what, he deserves the MVP. But I won't be shocked if Manning's name is already etched on it.
-
Packers and Niners anyone?
I absolutely do not see Atlanta in the NFC Championship, I will say that before anyone talks about them. Even Seattle's defense would probably beat them.
-
The sad thing is, they were spoonfed that entire game with nonsense calls and flags from a horrible officiating crew that wanted to help them. Sanchez threw pick number 4, I shut the TV off. I didn't know he just dropped a snap like that and let it roll around.
Now you can a sigh relief, one New York team down, now come on and knock the other one out please.
-
The only thing I can tell is their 2 wins were given to them.
Say whatever you want but I watched them "come back" against the Saints, and the refs called back a TD that WAS a touchdown (both feet in the endzone), as well as another TD getting called back on a flag. Not to mention the fumble in overtime, and all the no calls on the Chiefs O-line holding all day long. There is no way the Chiefs beat us without the refs help. Charles huge run should have been called back for holding.
Against Carolina, the Chiefs had ONE penalty that entire game while Carolina was flagged 7 times. I don't like to bring this stuff up to sound like a nut, but I truly believe both their wins were handed to them. One from the replacement refs, the other from the real refs to make a feel good story after that tragedy before the game.
Don't be worried about the Chiefs, you come out and kick them in the teeth and beat them down! They should be 0-14 right now for crying out loud...

Henne has had some quality games but I don't see them sticking with him. They should be head over heels trying to get Tebow to put fans in the seats.
-
Tim Tebow Conspiracy.
We WILL get to the bottom of this. As well as many other various important issues.
I just can't help myself with that quote. Thankfully you aren't a Bears fan lol
-
I don't think they'll be able to justify paying him when they also have Cobb, Jones and Nelson who are all starting caliber wideouts.
You could be right, but I'd take Jennings over Jones. GB is just loaded on offense, too many weapons.
-
And the purpose of having Tim Tebow all year was???!!!!
Yeah. It's like the poor kid was held hostage by the Jets. What did he do to deserve that? Sigh.
The purpose was the big media circus. Rex Ryan + big mouth players + big name media star = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
That's all it was over. I have been critical of Tebow in the past, but I do think he's a good kid. He's a good role model, but not an NFL quarterback. on the other hand, the Jets love media attention. They got Cromartie and the rest of those big mouths, along with Rex, and then comes Tebow who really is a positive influence seeing he's not one to run his mouth like them, but they only seen money in him.
-
I don't think Brandon Weeden is that good of a QB, but I still think the 49ers would have been a better place for Peyton to go, but I don't know if he and Harbaugh would have got along the best. Tougher division too.
-
I don't buy this one bit. His passes look a bit wobbly compared to years ago, not that everyone at his age can throw 100% perfect. He can still throw, but it's not the same as it was in the past, happens to all of them over the age.
-
It's amazing how the Packers turned Cobb into such a talent in short bit of time. I have a feeling they will push to resign Jennings.
-
He's not going to win another Super Bowl for the rest of his career. He had the chance, and he threw it right to Tracy Porter. Sorry but you guys know it's true. Denver may have the 2nd seed locked up but they haven't played a real team in months.
-
It is way too easy to throw in this league, when you have so many penalties that aid the quarterback.
That's why I have never been so impressed by the stat hogs of today, and I love Brees to death, but you're never going to erase the greatness of Montana or Staubach, Bradshaw, Marino, or even Warren Moon. Back then it was a lot harder when you couldn't throw our of bounds and you nearly got killed by some of the better defenses.
-
It's a little too late for that now. He should have done this some weeks ago when they were still alive.

As you and I both know and knew at the time, GB needed to be knocked down a peg when they came to Indy. We like our Pack at times, but they were getting too cocky since the Giants playoff loss and the constant "we beat ourselves" mentality all the time instead of realizing they sometimes just got beaten.
Besides, the 2006 Colts lost to the crappy Texans/Titans/Jags on the road the year they won it all and the Cowboys.
GB's two biggest weaknesses for fans seem to be o line and their kicking issues.
Actually in some ways the 2012 Pack remind me of the 2006 Colts and the 2011 Pack the 2005 Colts. The 2011 Pack like the 2005 Colts were SB faves with the best record in the league with a high powered offense. Both started 13-0 before falling to an AFC West team and then had a death of a coaches son.
The 2006 Colts were the third seed at 12-4 and GB could finish 12-4 as well. And I think both teams started the year as the favorites in their conferences. The Pack are not thought of as highly as the Falcons/49ers heading into the playoffs and sometimes Seattle. In 2006 the Colts were not thought of as highly as the Chargers/Ravens and sometimes NE.
And the 2006 Colts got a huge spark back when Bob Sanders returned for the playoffs. The 2012 Pack will get a huge spark back when/if Charles Woodson returns. Woodson hopes to return for the playoffs or before.
Peyton Manning ironically was a bit underrated in the 2006 regular season IMO. The attention seemed to go elsewhere. Aaron Rodgers is a bit underrated in 2012, the attention seems to go elsewhere.
Not saying the Pack do win it all this year, but I certainly would not count them out either.
yeah that's the hard part about GB, they can be smug and arrogant and I hate that with a team. You want the humble guys, not the ones yelling how they beat themselves.
They still have another weakness it's called Jermichael Finley. I cannot believe he got that big contract. They seriously need to trade him.
Another weakness is the passing defense. They look good one week but I'm not forgetting last year when those guys looked absolutely clueless out there getting shredded for 300-400 yards a week, then Stafford totally lit them up for 500 at the end of last year.
I would cut ties with Finley and start Crabtree at TE. At least he don't drop 15+ passes a year. I'll never forget that 3rd down and 10 play last year. It was 13-20, Giants, the Pack were still in the game. 3rd and 10 and Rodgers swings it to Finley who drops a first down. They go it for and he gets sacked, game over. They pretty much rewarded Finley for that play with his big contract.
-
What's bad is the refs basically spoon fed the Jets down the field. 14 penalties on Tennessee compared to the low number of 2 that the Jets had, when I turned the TV (After Sanchez's 4th pick). Even with all that help, they blew it with Sanchez.
The Jets are a flat out joke. It would have been a sin for them to reach the playoffs with that terrible offense.
I hope Buffalo does it, I see no reason that they shouldn't. Come out and run it down their throats!
-
The year GB won the Super Bowl, they lost to the Lions. Losing to the Colts I don't think is a problem seeing they are sitting on a 9-5 record.
GB looks like the team that sneaks in the playoffs that everyone has forgot about, while everyone drools over Manning and Houston in the AFC, and everyone is in love with Atlanta and Frisco, who knows, the Packers could really shock the world again. They are playing good football. The team that beats down Atlanta will represent the NFC in the Super Bowl, as they have the last 2 years in a row, and if it's GB, I'd put everything on them to walk away with it.
-
The Giants Cockroach beat the red hot Pats twice in SB, I would take this "overrated" team any day over any other NFL teams. Actually another successful franchise is almost the same: Steelers have some bad years as well.
Sometimes it is a healthy stretch to have a bad year here or there. Players should know how to deal with failures or they will stress out. Not to mention a better draft position to get some talents.
I would rather put my money on Harbaugh or the Packers before the Giants, cause they often start out hot, and then they do their usual medicore streak and prove to the world that they are not that good. Start out something like 5-0, watch them finish 9-7 or 8-8.

The reaction if SF loses this game after leading by 28

If Aaron has another game like he did in 2010 there I might go insane.
And if Luck has another game like he did vs. the Packers this year I might explode.
Atlanta is waiting to get blown out.
I've been very vocal about Kevin Gilbride for years, but you have to admit the Giants offense is very predictable. I hate even knowing that Gilbride is a success over there after how god awful the Oilers would play in the playoffs after genius Bud Adams fired Glanville as coach.
I know for the last few years the team that stomped Atlanta won the Super Bowl. If GB beats Atlanta, I'd pick them over NE in the big dance.
-
The Giants AND Jets are the New York Cockroaches. They just don't die, some how they are still alive every year. The Giants squeezed in 9-7 by the grace of God, they also were close to not reaching it back in 2007. The Jets some how survived the apocalypse in 2009, and some how they are still alive today.
-
The Packers are underrated. I'm telling you, they could beat the hell out of Atlanta like they did in 2010, just don't tell anyone I said that.
