  1. I can't seem to find a link... How Ste the saints doing in the playoffs? Please blame your teams failure on the fact you list your coach...

I used the Saints game as an example, that's when their win streak really got going and everyone was ready to crown them a Super Bowl team.

I am not going to make any excuses as a Saints fan. Yes we were lost without Payton but even if he did coach our team this year, I don't know what we would have finished. Our defense broke records, we gave up more yardage in NFL history. I don't know if him being on field would have prevented that since he don't control anything on defense. We probably would have went 7-9 with him on the sidelines.

  2. It took you fellas long enough to figure it out. Strength of schedule showed this coming from a mile away. They did not play one "great" team after New England thrashed them. It's pretty easy to make your team look godly blowing out those average to below average teams. Ever since they beat down that lost Saints team all I ever heard about was how this was a Super Bowl team. I'm so glad they lost, finally puts all that talk to rest.

If the Ravens knocked out the Colts, they deserved to finally knock Manning out just 1 week later. I will be pulling for them against New England, I did last year and still feel like they got robbed.

I don't think you guys would have been satisfied seeing Manning win it all this year. It would have left you feeling blue and a sour taste in the mouth. He went to play for John Elway. The guy your team drafted years ago, that was just oh so cool he couldn't play for you.

  3. Just what you can expect...when Peyton turns the ball over 3 times in a playoff game...no question...it's the same old Peyton...remarkable in the regular season and horrible in the post season

and not to mention they did not play anybody. That weak cup cake schedule didn't prepare them for the playoffs when they are blowing out below .500 teams all year long.

  4. I think the refs play a major factor in this game.  If Browner and Sherman are allowed 'serious' contact with the nice Falcon tandem of receivers, Seattle will win this game.  If we see flags on contact after five yards the Falcons win.

In some games we have seen 'excessive contact' allowed, and in others we have seen 'touch fouls' called.....how will the refs call this game?

My only other thought was west coast eat coast 3 hour difference, but that was nullified last week although the Seahawks started sluggishly (would have been 10 AM in Seattle/ this one like 1:30 PM)

This is a 'pick-em'- game for me....I am going to relax and enjoy....nothing to lose....but rooting for the Seahawks.... :)

Roddy White gets away with push offs every game. I have never seen a WR get away with it more in my life. If the Falcons didn't have that least penalized offense in the league, they would be getting flagged every down for offensive pass interference and holding. Just watch White, he does it every single play almost.

  5. I disagree. The offense was the only bright spot of those Browns teams. He made Derek Anderson and Braylon Edwards look like all-pro's in 07, for cryin out loud.

You forgot 2008 when they looked like scrubs yet again after that surprising 2007 season, they flat out stunk it up in 2008 under this guy.

  6. Yes he is their future, but alot of the fans here are down on his play this year saying he is over throwing alot of balls. And I think it is more play calling that got them beat in Houston than him. Why no throws to AJ in the first half. Throw it up and let him get it. He is the best receiver they have. And they all want Brown out of it. Or at least the ones I talk with. Only game I watched was the playoff game so just going by what they told me.

They should be grateful at least. Dalton has already proved himself in 2 years to be worth more than what Carson Palmer was. I always found Palmer to be overrated, never got the thrill with him. Brown needs to go, I couldn't agree more. He is cheap, by keeping Marvin Lewis this long. How many winning seasons has he had? What is so special about this guy?

  7. I dont like this hiring at all. I live around alot of Bengal fans and I had high hopes that the Browns would get it together and CRUSH the who-dey nation.

Not a fan of Cincy, but Dalton is the future I believe. That kid is going to be great if they keep building around him and not stay cheap like Brown tends to do.

  8. Sorry but Joe Montana is still the greatest to ever play this game at quarterback position. It is Unitas and Montana, no one else. Not Manning, not Brady, not Rodgers, and not Brees.

It doesn't matter. I would love to see Manning, Rodgers, Brady, and Brees play in Montana's era without all the roughing the passer and constant pass interference penalties. No one can deny that they all benefit from this to quite some extent. When Joe Cool played, the game was totally different. Look at defenses today and look at them back then. You had the '84 49ers, the '85 Bears, '86 Giants, '87 Redskins, '88/'89 49ers, and the '90 Giants and '90 Bills. Those defenses were absolute monsters. Just watch some of those old Redskins games, they absolutely mauled the WR's, and no flags back then.

As much as I love Drew Brees, I wasn't all that thrilled when he broke Marino's record, cause it just don't mean as much as it did back then. Marino's record was nothing to be proud of back then either, considering the Dolphins had no run game at all while he was airing it out so much. Watch that Super Bowl Marino played in. Everyone was predicting it to be a shoot out between Montana and Marino. Bill Walsh played a Nickel that entire game, just begging Marino to throw it since he put up those godly 5,000+ stats. The Dolphins lost, because Marino wouldn't run the ball. Walsh was going to force him to beat him with the run and he didn't.  Everyone calls Brees a stad padder, but so is Manning, and so is Brady, and for your sake, Rodgers likes to run his stats up too when they keep him in the game, because it's some agenda to just not run the ball in this era of video game football. You know who was not a stat padder? Favre....but no one cares about that right?

It's actually funny say Rodgers is not a statpadding machine like Brady and Brees, because Manning is a stat padder too when he's dropping back to continue to throw and run scores up and not run the ball when you're up 20-30 points at the end of the game.

When it's all said and done, Joe Montana is still the greatest quarterback of all time, and you know it. Either Joe Cool or Johnny U. One or the other, no QB today or tomorrow is going to replace them.

Look at Rodgers come from behind wins, and you could make an argument that Brett Favre is better than him. You might be laughing at that, but Favre was one of the best, and all I ever hear about is how he threw games away, even though Manning threw a game winning touchdown in the Super Bowl right to Tracy Porter he gets a pass but Favre is still drug through the mud as this bad bad guy who everyone loved that constantly threw picks.

At this rate, no one is ever going to pass Joe Cool or Johnny U. This is a useless argument.

  9. They are screwed, yet again.

What is it with these failed offensive coordinators becoming head coaches thinking that's going to fix something? He failed the Browns as an offensive coordinator in 2007 and 2008, and while the Panthers offense was better, much of that credit goes to Newton. This hiring is a joke, they don't even have a GM yet. I guess they should have kept Holmgren and the other guy they fired cause so far it don't sound like they have a clue what they are doing. Go after a GM first, then a coach second.

The Browns just sold themselves up again. Fire Shurmer and this is your replacement for him? The bad play calling will continue. Weeden throwing it 40-50 times will continue while Richardson barely gets any touches as usual after he will have some solid runs. And if they go for Norv Turner as offensive coordinator that is not going to help much at all seeing Weeden will still be there.

  10. I can't speak to the OC Bogie, but I'd love to see Cowher hire either Mike Nolan or Rob Ryan as his new DC. I love aggressive no holes barred, step on your throat, risk taker coordinators. Why the Hades did Dallas just fire Rob Ryan?!!! What a bunch of fools in Dallas IMO.  :slaphead:   Jerry Jones you are a bleeping mo ron!!!

Bringing Gibbs back was a mistake for the Redskins since Synder didn't even want him calling his own plays. Similar to how the * fired Marty Schottenhiemer after he gave them a winning season.

  11. Oh he will but don't mean he's going to be surpass Joe Cool as the greatest. No one ever will, not even Manning or Brees. That 4-0 Super Bowl record is still shining, and Montana played in an age where defenses were feared. There aren't no Ronnie Lotts or Howie Longs or Lawrence Taylor type defensive players anymore that scared the living crap out of you.

I don't mean that in any disrespect for Brady. if he breaks Brees record, I think it will be good. Records were made to be broken, it is just a shame they are so easy to break now. I wonder how long it will take for Favre's to start going down.

    Stupid

All that dumb running around and bootlegs helped get him injured and will continue over his career. Typical Redskins. Trade away draft picks and get a good kid and ruin him with dumb playing calling and a poor offensive line, along with an overrated washed up coach that don't know how to sit a hurt player.

  14. Kind of tough to get rid of the owner

Yeah but I'm fine with that. Dallas can continue to suck for me, I never ever have to worry about them winning another Super Bowl. Thank you Jerry Jones.
