  1. Live albums are like movie sequels. Sometimes it's well needed with a classic and a band that can put up a good performance (Iron Maiden's Live After Death being the Godfather Part.II of Metal), other times you have to wait over 10+ years for the sequel to come about, as I'm learning with these Anniversary performance albums.

Cash live a Folsom Prison is definitely a classic no doubt. Good films & stellar soundtracks together are so rare these days because either the film or the movie score are not on the same level. It's extremely rare. Not like Eastwood in his early spaghetti westerns with composer Ennio Morricone. Those still sound spectacular today IMO.

I think I like more live stuff then I initially thought. I was not thinking hard enough or even far back enough at times southwest.

No I don't have nor have I listened to the Madison Square Garden album either but if I saw it I would probably pick it up in person.

I download bootleg shows all the time. I've got hundreds of them on flashdrives and CD's that I've been collecting for years. That's the only time I tend to worry about muddy audio and problems. Studios tend to clean them up nicely but still nothing beats a good bootleg from time to time. But I NEVER spend money on those bootleg live CD's online. Total rip off when you can download it.
