Dan Marino 6 TD game from 1986

6 TD's isn't enough to save Miami, as the Dolphins fall in overtime as their defense was that bad to surrender 51 points.

That's just the reason I posted this clip. Someone on Youtube is uploading quite an archive of old Dan Marino games. I watched this one and then ended up spending a little over an hour watching various games of him shredding up the 80's Broncos and 90's Bills.
QuoteIs it me or were his passes faster then most other QBs? Those things just take off like bullets when he threw them but they also were placed with pinpoint accuracy so smoothly.
Marino's release, ball control and laser pinpoint accuracy is IMO probably the best in NFL history. The only quarterback that comes close is Manning in his prime.
I've never seen another QB get the ball out faster than Marino. At one point, Warren Moon could get the ball out fast and he had to with the Run-N-Shoot offense, but I don't think he was as fast as Marino with his release.
QuoteHow the hell is he not considered the best ever at times by most? Just more proof the ring argument is crap.
Without the ring argument and judging by talent alone, Marino SHOULD BE a Top 3-5 pick for most...One thing no one can argue though, is that Marino played on some seriously mediocre average teams. This video is a good example; how the hell do you lose a game where your QB throws for 448 yards, 6 touchdowns and puts up 45 points? The Dolphins defense was that bad...As bad as the recent New Orleans Saints teams where Brees can put up similar numbers and lose.

I thought Peyton got rid of the ball at record pace and at times he did in his prime. But sometimes Peyton's passes were not as pretty and Manning also at times had those "happy feet" in the pocket.
This video, just omg.........Marino in this video has the passes sent from the godless god. It's just like what the hell? Those are like textbook passes with speed and they also land so softly in his guys hands like pillows.

I don't know how they lost this game. Was the run game shaky too and not able to burn up clock?
But yeah this does remind me of Brees too with delivery and how he stands before throwing.
Brees don't get enough attention at times for his big games since sadly some are even losses.
