I know nothing about the Kardashian products.  

Sounds like she bought the Katy Perry cat mascara which is actually very painfully average for a mascara. And her lipsticks are dried up matte crap.

Maybelline has good eye makeup. And Maybelline has lines of foundations too to match every skin tone and color from David Bowie to Michelle Obama.

Maybelline has often been known since the 70's for their mascaras too. They have more varieties of colors and a lot of different brush types.

I just think she would do well with Maybelline for some odd reason. It's a classic makeup brand and they have a lot of varieties of products that can truly be comparable to the high end stuff. And they don't load their products with scents.

She's talked about scented products, cause she had an allergy attack with something recently. 

I have that problem with spray stuff, like the Axe brand for men. Oh god, I hate that stuff. It makes me sneeze like crazy. 

I forwarded all this to her in an email, I appreciate it. I hope she gets some use out of this, cause she is relatively new at buying these products.
