i agree 100 percent both pittman and pierce get very little separation . both are great at high pointing the ball on deep contested catches but we need to be more explosive .

if the offensive line struggles again this year ballard should go . he had every chance to fix it and ignored it only drafting one player mid round -

seems like no risk play calling a lot of runs or short passes -
Richardson starting first preseason game

i agree with everything you said, i just feel many on here have crazy unrealistic expectations for richardson his first year . its probably gonna start off rough but i think towards the end of the year we will see improvement . next year is the real test to see if he improves . trevor lawrence looked horrible his first year and he was a generational QB coming out of college . -
i feel like taylor is different because of his explosive plays . you dont wanna run richardson into the ground and have him be our running back . we need richardson to be here for 15 years you dont do that having him run like lamar jackson. look at all the injuries running qbs get jackson has been injured 3 years in a row . you want a mobile QB who throws on the run not running over people like luck was . in 2021 the passing offense got very cold for long stretches in games and taylor saved so many games by hitting big runs and averaging 5.5 yards a run . do you honestly believe we can get the same production with deon jackson and hull ? i still believe running games are important to balance out offenses . for 13 million a year i would love to see taylor signed for 3 or 4 years . we have a rookie QB who will struggle for long stretches in games we need a running game to get through those tough moments .

you would think with a rookie QB who is gonna struggle a 2100 total yard 20 touchdown running back in his prime would help a ton . getting a QB on a rookie deal will help a ton and colts will have cap space next year and still have like 20 million this year to roll over . even hurt and only playing 11 games taylor put up 1000 total yards last year . give him a better QB so teams arent stacking the box and he will go off this year like in 2021 and help the colts make a push for the division . every time you get a mobile QB the running game explodes i was excited to see taylor with a mobile QB .

it makes no sense to me taylor hasnt even said anything . taylor is a high character player and has been great for us . we have a lot of cap space and the running back market is so cheap right now . colts could of offered him 12 million a year for 3 years and he probably would of taken it . i get taylors point one more season with more damage on his body and a year older will hurt his chances even more . he just wants security so if he gets hurt he isnt losing his career and everything he worked for .

Players report to camp 7/25 and Ballard presser

i just think the nfl has changed and people base their opinions of running backs based on super bowl success . usually its a good QB good o-line and d - lines that win . i think with taylor though its a different story since we went 9-8 with taylor when we had carson wentz who stunk . without taylor in 2021 going off colts easily could of been picking in the top 5 of the draft . we should make a exception for taylor and sign him i think 14 million a year is fine based on his production when healthy . taylor is only 23 a 5 year deal is not risky . -
i dont think he would do that the proof is just that someone who is friends with rogers placed small bets . why would a guy who is a millionaire need to win 40 dollars . i know he is on a cheap contract but he still made like 3 million dollars so far and was in line to get way more . so if you are a nfl player you have to try and stop your friends from making bets ? there better be real proof rogers handed money to his friend to bet on his behalf . it should always be innocent until proven guilty i hate his name is being run through the mud when he is a high character player .

the unfortunate truth is peyton will never get the full respect he deserves because of his playoff record . that is how people judge QBs its not fair but that is what it is . most people say peyton was the greatest regular season QB but his lack of success in the postseason will haunt his legacy . to the casual fan they just see peyton had pro bowl wrs and a pro bowl tight end two hall of fame pass rushers and say he under achieved or choked in the playoffs . to the hard core colts fans who watched every game we saw a undersized soft cover 2 defense who got bullied in the playoffs . as great as marvin and reggie were they struggled against tough physical defenses in press man . there were playoff games where the colts offensive line got dominated non stop and reggie and marvin got beat up and struggled . those early patriots playoff games were brutal to watch what those corners got away with . peyton will be looked at the same way aaron rogers is now a great mvp regular season QB who had so many one and dones in the playoffs .

Reggie Wayne to have more input on offense
coming on strong replied to Restinpeacesweetchloe's topic in Colts Football
reggie wayne is a leader of men he will be a great coach . go watch the ty hilton interviews where he says reggie is reason he became the player he is . reggie took ty hilton under his wing showed him how to watch film the right way and coached up his route running . i love when ex players get hired it creates a nice culture in the building . it just needs to be done the right way unlike the saturday hire where saturday jumped right to head coach mid season . if reggie works his way up and earns it i would love to see him be our OC one day .
