  1. Thank you, shecolt. Since I was the one to close the other thread, may I add that several posts were deleted that had NOTHING to do with any comments between Colts fans or Colts/Pats fans...but were inappropriate for this forum and that is an additional reason why the thread was closed.

The reminder was simply posted so that folks might get a clue, but sadly it seems that a few did not.

  2. Since this is ending on a high note (thanks GoPats)...consider this thread closed.

Everyone here needs to keep it civil and remember that all fans are welcome on this forum as long as they follow the rules and the rules will be applied equally to all fans.

If anyone has an issue with a particular user, please make use of the ignore list and if you see something 'out of the way' please use the report feature.

    Thanks.

  3. No problem! :)

Having the threads there means that they can stick around all season long in one place, all nice and organized in case anyone wants to look back at them for reference.

Otherwise, they get lost in the mix of the main forum and eventually fall off due to age.

We began this last year on the other forum and lots of fans seemed to like it more than having one game thread that got locked and deleted after the game.

It is a nice alternative for those who don't care to chat.

  4. My take on the surgery is personal and scary. I have had two 'bulging disk' spinal surgeries, but mine have been lumbar and that is much more intensive as far as length of recovery. Also one of mine had completely ruptured.

But the nerve regeneration takes a long time. However, Peyton had to be playing with nerve damage before the surgery and a lessening of sensation...so it may already be better than prior to the surgery. :dunno: Only he can know.

  5. Oh, BTW folks. To the best of my knowledge, Irsay isn't a big "forum" person. So all of the "PLEASE READ ME, JIM"-type threads fall on deaf ears here. Neither does Polian for that matter. lol

If you want Jim Irsay's attention, your best bet it to tweet him. That is where his online time is spent.

    Thanks.

  6. It is getting to the point where we are going to have to have a "Let's get ((fill-in-the-blank)) QB" MEGA-MERGE thread and a "Let's hire ((fill-in-the-blank)) for head coach" MEGA-MERGE thread and put all of this stuff in there. Why? Because the front page of this forum is so trashed with multiple threads of the same stuff right now that we look disorganized and panic-stricken. This does not look like a Colts Fan forum at all.

If a new poster signed up right now, my bet is that they would take one look around and then run away like crazy :burnout:.

    I know I would!

So can we please keep it all in one place? No one is saying keep it to yourself, just don't spread it all over the forum.

    Thank you.

  7. I think the bigger question is why do new users sign up to a forum without reading the rules? Even the title has 'masked cursing'.

I don't have much of an opinion on Painter as a player in his own right because I don't think he has ever been given a fair shake or much of a chance outside of Peyton's shadow.

But there are several Painter threads going on right now, so please...everyone carry on in those.

    :locked:

  8. Copying this from another thread so it will be "stickied":

    Just a friendly reminder! :rules:

Maureen has posted an PINNED announcement with some helpful tips to aid both new and longtime users of the fan forum. The main one is for everyone to read, carefully review and FOLLOW the forum rules and guidelines.

It is easy just to register at a new forum and jump right in with both feet and begin posting, assuming (you know what that word means) that this place is like every other football board out there. Well, that would be a HUGE mistake. :nono:

The Colts organization has set certain standards for the way they wish the fan forum and all of Colts Direct to be maintained. This is a family friendly place where all members are to be welcomed and can feel free to discuss football in a safe, friendly environment.

To that end, we do not allow insults, cursing, personal attacks and such on the site. The Golden Rule here is: "Don't be a jerk."

We try to keep the board organized in a very easy to read manner. Therefore, please search before you post a new thread and please post the topic in the correct forum. Duplicate threads of the same subject will be merged or deleted and if the topic is not DIRECTLY related to COLTS football, then it does *not* belong in the Colts Football forum.

You can find the rules anytime by clicking the link at the top right corner entitled -FORUM RULES. Additionally, if you ever have a question about board moderation, please send a private message to one of the members of your MOD TEAM. Above all else, please do your part for the community and report any actions that you see that are "out of line" by using the report button on each post (lower left corner of the message) or you can report a member in general from his/her profile if they are a particular problem.

Another feature that is helpful if someone simply gets to you on a personal level, but it is not a rule violation situation - use the IGNORE feature. It will help you and keep you out of trouble by removing the temptation to respond. :ignore:

Using proper netiquette will go a long way in communicating with fellow posters. Using ALL CAPS is rude and inflammatory. Don't do it.

One of the biggest NO-NOs on the forum is requesting and posting links for illegal websites and online streams for games. These threads/posts will be immediately deleted and accounts can be suspended. The same rules apply in the chat room. We understand that everyone wants to see their favorite team play, but this is a legal issue for the Colts and the board and is trouble we cannot have.

Again, we want everyone to enjoy the forum. Many people worked long and hard to get our fan forum back like it used to be (or as close as possible) and we want it to once again be successful. A community is only as good as its fans and posters. We are all in this together. The rules are simple and easy to follow and the mods here are pretty easy-going, helpful and quite nice. We don't bite...well, not TOO hard. :rawr:rotflmao

So just read the rules and show respect to your fellow posters (even those from other teams!) and things will be cool.

Now, who is ready for some football??? :coltshelmet::cheer::huthut:

Thanks for your cooperation and continued support! :shake:

  9. Take note of most of the teams who do well in PS (with a few exceptions) and I highly doubt they will do great in the regular season.

Many teams use the PS differently. If the score doesn't count, why worry so much? Chillax.
