  1. How about eating 3 HUGE chicken fajitas with bellpeppers, and sitting on the crapper 2 hours later.True story:My brother- in -law was on the crapper for over 3 hours one night, because he couldn't move from it.We just gave him an ipodtouch to pass the time. The positive side is he now is the sole owner of the highest score in 'plants vs zombies'. rotfl

    Now that's pretty sad....

    :spew: :barf: TMI....

  2. We have had UK fans from the forum come across just about every season. :)

There are some helpful tips of places to stay, eat, sights to see, etc. in the MISC forum. With the pound being better against the dollar, you might get a pretty good deal. I hope you get to come!

  3. Thread cleaned up... :clean:

As always, problems with moderation should be addressed to the moderators and if you see a post you think is against the rules...then you use the report feature. This type of tattling/wannabe modding in a thread has to stop as it is detracting from the conversations.

Now can we get back on track? Thanks.

Too bad the Cartman pic got caught in the clean up, we need to bring back the humor. :)

  4. Does anyone have any idea how sick I am of hearing the week 16 "perfect season" mess?

edit for addition - yes, I was upset too...16-0, history and all that would have been nice for all of the players and stuff. I was mad for about two hours. When we lost the game, it was over and time to focus on something else. It wasn't going to be changed and continuing the negative energy on something that wasn't going to change no matter what was unhealthy. But the lingering rancor is just unreal.

I mean, come on. Really, really? I agree with the posters who say move on, those that say we will not go 0-16 and while I think the Lions are good this year (best team and coach they have had ....oh, since 1957? rotfl) they aren't going to go undefeated.

    :sigh:

  5. Thanks Peytongirl, I must say that I like the new format, well done to all!

    Scott

I like the new forum. It is a lot better than the other I visited a few years ago. It's more up to date and seems a little less formal too. :applause: Great job!

:cheer: :cheer: :cheer: GO COLTS! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Thanks IndyLady and Scott! I am so glad that you all are enjoying the forum. We are very pleased to have it back, too. :D

  6. My friend Jackie is a colt's fan and I'm posting this for her. On Wednesday (Sept. 14, 2011) we drove by the Lucas Stadium and Jackie expressed her desire to attend a Colt's game there. "Maybe I can contact Make-A-Wish foundation", she said with a chuckle, but there was no real humor intended. You see, I was driving Jackie to the hospital so that she could consult with a heart specialist. At the hospital we received the news that there was nothing he could do, her heart would not survive any surgery. She was given a year to live. I love Jackie and her husband. They have been there for me and my family, visiting us in the hospital and bringing us food when we were going through hard times. Now I wish I could do something for her. Jackie got married at fifteen and is now approaching 70. Through it all she's cared for her husband and her five children, doing so selflessly. I don't know if this is the right place to post things like this, and if it's not I apologize. But, I was hoping that someone could help me find the RIGHT place to post this, or the right person to contact, to try and get Jackie tickets for a game, before it's too late. I appreciate any help.

As silly as it sounds, your best bet might be to follow and tweet Jim Irsay on Twitter. He does a ton of wild Colts things for fans - loads of giveaways. You never know!

  7. Hey everyone!

My name is Amielio, I am from California! I am going to see my first Indianapolis Colts game next Sunday Colts (vs) Steelers and I am just wandering if there is any good fan clubs that tail-gate before the game? It would be cool just to know that I have some place to congregate before the game. If anyone knows of a good club let me know! Also I am more than willing to bring alcohol to the party!

    Hi there and welcome,

Be sure to check out the links in the Off the Field section of the forum HERE for ideas about places to gather in Indy. :) Also, the social side of our site - Colts Direct - has lots of groups who plan get-togethers on game days.

  8. IMHO, Collins should have been brought in as a backup and mentor-type for Painter and Painter should be the starter. It is his team when Peyton is not here. That is no knock at all to Kerry, just a defense for Curtis.

He knows the offense, the playbook, the players and he is the one that the 1st team played with all pre-season and what bit of TC they had.

I was left scratching my head at the Collins-start thing.

    :dunno:

  9. I have had to spinal (though lumbar and not cervical) fusions and one with the hip graft in the last three years.

The hip graft part was as painful (**VERY**) as the fusion part of my first surgery (much more invasive than the second for me), but only for about 3 weeks. I have had no ill after effects from the hip part and they had to take quite a bit of bone. That type of graft DOES heal and fuse a lot quicker than synthetic or cadaver bone because it is your own tissue, or so my neurosurgeon explained to me.

I can fully understand why Peyton chose this option, especially if he wants to be back on the field before the end of the season or by post season if that is a possibility.

  10. Mouthofsouth suggested sending well wishes to Peyton while he recovers and who knows who might look in on us from time to time. So it never hurts to send out good thoughts, does it?

So if you wish to post a get well wish concerning Peyton, please feel free to do so. But only positive thoughts and posts in this thread please and keep it clean. There are plenty of other threads for other discussions.

Personally I have had two fusion surgeries (one with the hip graft) and I send loads of thoughts and prayers to Peyton and the whole family for a quick recovery & hopefully lots of time to enjoy with the little ones while recuperating...until he can come back to the field and take care of business.

  11. PeytonGirl, I do not know why the forum has me restricted as a new member.I did have some difficulty getting my I.D. and password working properly, but I am definitely not a new member.

Since I cannot start a new thread, I will ask you. Where do we send get well wishes to Peyton that he will actually see and be able to read them???? Please somebody post a real answer. Thanks.

I think it would be great to have a well-wishes thread. :) Maybe we should start one! Great idea

  12. We are all newbies on this forum, so to speak, since we had to rebuild from the ground up.

As far as the "new member" restrictions, that is designed to help with actual new members so they can learn the forum rules and ways before posting a lot of threads.

If you are returning for the season from the old forum, just hit me up. ;)

  13. I used to like Brock...a lot. But no more. And I am so sick of Hank getting blamed for that play.

Not to start a whole new debate, but he WAS the ONLY person on ST that even tried for the darned ball in the first place and he had the ball at the bottom of the scrum. The whistle sounds and it is called Colts ball so he lets up because he is being crushed. That is when they grab it away from him. I have always thought that was one of the most unfair plays I have ever seen, especially since have of the Saints bench and coaching staff were on the field at that time, too.

Sorry, just don't get me started. Hank has taken a lot of crap that he didn't deserve for that and Raheem just needs to can it. Maybe if Raheem had stepped up, we might have still had a chance, eh?

  14. Actually Nancy, it is a completely new board in a way.

Early last season, our old fan forum was merged into the Colts social site (then called MyColts.net) and we worked hard all year to try and make that forum workable for the fans. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't like the original. However, some great things came out of it (like our mod team - :cheer:haha).

Then in the off-season, the whole social site (forum included) got moved to the ColtsDirect platform. ColtsDirect is an awesome social site for fans, but it was seriously lacking a proper forum and it came to light that one could not be arranged with that software.

So we are back to a fan forum platform again, though we are linked closely with ColtsDirect and the whole Colts.com site. However, in all of these moves, we were unable to keep any user info because they were all different types of platforms.

Anyway, after loads of pleading :beg:, we have a fan forum again but at the cost of beginning again...fresh start for everyone! Plus, this forum has some features that the old one did not - like a game day chat room and the ability to post pics and videos and have sigs. :)

    So it is all good.

  15. Couldn't find my old login for some reason, so I had to create a new one. Now I have to post about 20 or so posts? Eh...no problem. I've got plenty to talk about! :) Go Colts!

It is a new platform, so we all had to start from the beginning. Some folks went with their old usernames and some chose new ones (and put their old names in their sigs so we knew who they were :)).

    Welcome back!

  16. Hey PG! Good to see you again too! Love your avatar! You gotta tell me how to get rid of mine!

Thanks! Even my dolliehs love the Colts and have their own Colts helmet. :)haha

So you don't wish to sport the Colts' logo all year, eh? Here is some info from the main post about avatars. Let me know if I can help further:

...there are two different photos to choose, a profile pic and an avatar. Some users have wondered why they uploaded a pic and it didn't show up as their avatar. You can set it to be the same pic, I think (we are still getting used to everything as well), but there are two separate photos. The avatar pic must be sized 90 x 90 or smaller in order to be uploaded. I think the profile pic will automatically resize.
