  1. @Death Co

RE ColtsCap - The last I heard from Bav (later on last season, I think)...he had just become a new papa. So that may be taking up his time. :dunno:

But he is ready to kick my tail at FF again this season, so he must be doing okay. :throwback:

  2. You know...there is a huge difference is expressing an opinion and being downright insulting.

It is also pretty clear when you show your true colors. Reminds me that we need a Flying Elvis emoticon. lol

    Thread is now :locked:. :rolleyes2:

    :troll:

  3. I think Chad will do his best to conform to the Patriot way, but I don't think anything can ever completely put out the fire that is "Child Please". I actually hope it wouldn't. I like Chad just the way he is.

He is one of the few not scared to try keep a little fun in the No Fun League these days. :)

  4. Peyton has always done this for the team. He has always restructured his contract when needed for the cap or made sure that it was "cap friendly".

He always gets crap for making a lot of money, but many years he was one of the least paid (salaried, not counting bonuses) players on the team.

I think it is obvious that he just wants to play and he wants a team that he can win another SB with. He wants the front office to be able to make that happen.

I say kudos to him and I say :neener: to those who dissed him. rotfl :P

  5. Thanks, 21. :)

RE: Ocho, I adore the dude. I think he has gotten a bad rap and has been put into categories with some players that he didn't deserve to be with. Yes, he is a showboat and is mouthy. But I don't know that he has ever done anything 'bad' or illegal, has he? I cannot recall anything.

He has always been very respectful to Belichick and to Dungy when he was here, as well as Peyton and Brady.

He is a character to say the least, but I think he will play by whatever rules he is given (to the best of his ability). I also think he will be an asset to the team and no offense to our Patriot friends, but I hate that. ;) I really like Chad and I would rather not see him in a Pats uni. HOWEVER, I would rather see him in that uniform than a Titan one. :yuk:

  6. Thank you, CS. It seems that many folks haven't taken to heart the guidance. ;)

If a topic is NOT about the Colts, it goes in NFL General (Around the League). The forum is about to be reorganized or else many topics are going to be duplicated and discussions are going to be going on in multiple places (way too confusing).

If you cannot find your thread, please look in the appropriate forum. Most all of the them will be in only one of two locations (Colts or NFL General) and a number of duplicate threads will be merged. Nothing deleted, just merged.

Okay...now a bit of housecleaning! :cleaning:

  7. It seems that a number of the owners put heart and soul into getting all of this done, with Mr. Kraft leading the way and Myra behind him for almost all of it.

I appreciate that Jeff was one of those at the table, too. Otherwise this all may have drug out even longer. Nice moment of mutual respect.

BTW - nice to see so many old friends again. Seems like old times.

  8. It's not very intuitive. At the end of each post, there is a button that says "Reply." If you click that button, it will quote the post in your reply. On most forums, that button would say "Quote" instead of "Reply." If you want to reply without quoting anybody, there are buttons at the very top and very bottom of the thread that say "Add Reply" or you can just reply with quote and then delete the quote.

    .......

Wait....did you just post to say that you can't figure out how to post.....<head explodes>

Yes, I wish the 'reply' button said quote. That is a bit confusing.

As for the other comment, :sarcasm: gotta love it. :spit: ;)

  9. That is a little weird, but just a side note. The 'friends' here on the forum has nothing to do with Colts Direct. Nothing to do with who can or cannot message you...nothing "social" really. It is just a list of your 'friends', I guess.

I think there may be a setting in your profile that you can change. Either auto accept requests or manually. Yours may be set to auto-accept. ;)

  10. It is not completely up to Peyton and it doesn't work that way. You have to consider the agents and industry standards and other QBs in the same position, other players with the same tenure and also the precedent it sets.

All of that must be considered, though I do understand the sentiment behind the original poster's line of thinking.

Plus, hasn't it been established in the past that much of Peyton's commercials and endorsements go to his foundation anyway?...so they aren't really personal income.
