What you mean briancasserly? If we cut Toler we get 4 mill to spend on another CB! Toler can play and he is really good with a low salary cap. But if he is on the bench or at home on injured list why keep him? Remember a guy name Sanders great player we kept hoping he would come back and look what happen payed him top dollar for 3-4 games a season
BINGO!!!!!
-smh-

The bleeped out word is patriots lol
Patriots with an asterisk.
Some mealy mouth equivocator doesn't like us being too honest with regards to that franchise.
-
Im not really too sold on Muamba just yet, im excited to see what he can bring to the table but he is kinda on the smaller side for an ILB
Safety?

Your right tho the reality is were gonna rely on gimpy
I know it is. So stop talking about cap savings from cutting Toler. Makes no sense.
-
I don't know much about Jackson. As stated before Chudzinski and Pagano should be plenty familiar with him and hopefully were in on the decision to bring him in. The way it sounds is we now have 2 pretty good starters at ILB. Expensive but pretty good. Freeman will want similar $ next year
You're prolly right. We'll see how it goes.
-
So why do some people think this is too much money?
They don't think that. They just need something to gripe about. ;)
-
As I posted before we can cut Toler get his 4 mi...
Hahaha!! Typing away while refusing to acknowledge reality is not going to change the situation.

Walking? Floating?
LOL!!

If I could, I'd break my Like button on this post!
The 3-4 is all about the FRONT end! How else did the rookie Eric Reid have a good year, cause when you have Bowman-Willis-Smith 1 & Smith 2 in front of you, your job is soooo much easier.
Everything starts up front!!!!
I say that so much I'm gonna change my name to for the off-season I swear!
I already broke mine. So here you go...

It is too funny watching so many 'brilliant' Colts fans walk right by this reality.

Ik were not cutting him but its the most logical thing to do. But why go the logical path silly me I guess
It makes no logical sense to cut him. None. Not financially. Not talent-wise.
We knew he suffers injuries when we signed him. He proceeded to suffer an injury and now folks magically think we're cutting him.
THAT is not logical. ;)

Well I hope we resign Gordy or someone else for cheap cause Toler damn sure isn't playing. He will be on IR where he has been his whole career.
Ehhh hope away. Lord knows enough folks do it. But stop trying to pretend that your fantasies regarding Toler are a part of the real World. He is not getting cut.

Seriously, please tell us why you don't want Byrd. I've seen you on every Byrd or FA thread saying No to him but you never give a reason. The guy can PLAY.
Has nothing to do with Byrd. The position Byrd plays just isn't important enough to the overall Defensive Scheme to justify paying him the amount he'd require.
Not that deep.
-
Well we got Jackson and I don't even think Byrd will even visit indy I don't see Grigs giving 10 mill for a safety

the way im looking at it if they are interested in decker why not flip all that money to byrd fills a huge need
IMO we aren't interested in Decker or Byrd. I don't see Grigson paying through the nose for players that aren't going have an on the field impact equal to their on the cap impact.
-
You know I agree with this one....since I said it in yesterday's thread.
I feel we acted because we 'may have known' or had an inclination Smith will stay with the Ravens and Dansby the Cardinals.
Well, the price for Jackson was definitely right. I wonder if Grigson has a feeling on the number Smith will be requiring and simply doesn't need to pay that much. We'll see what he ends up signing for and where: San Francisco?
-
We're not getting Alex Mack
let it go.
We're not getting Byrd either imo.
YES to both. ;)
-
Ha we're agreeing more and more on things lately Brian, I must be getting cantankerous with age
Smarter ;)

Stampede Blue is crapping all over this deal. So frustrating...
Guaranteeing that this was a perfect signing. ;)

Byrd dreams again? Lol Byrd will only ce if the money is right! He already put it out there that being the highest paid safety is not enough. I don't think the Bills are that dumb just to let Byrd walk. He wanted way way too too much that's why they didn't even bother tagging him. I would much rather resign Bethea to a cap friendly deal and draft a safety. Then maybe with all the money left over we can sign One center and Two guards that can start and improve our line!
It's like 3% of our cap. Some folks need to chill the freak out.
I'm glad we addressed ILB in FA. The contract seems fair for both sides. I don't really like the fact that he'll be 31 in Sept., but he should be able to give us a at least a couple of good years, so I'm not overly concerned with this signing. Just have to wait and see how it pans out.

You dead from asphyxiation yet ?
Bingo, every FA's worth is easy to judge in hindsight. I'd be interested to see how the deal has been structured but it's not massive contract by any means and fills a need.

Thanks Gavin! 35 mill plus if we cut Toler and Satele puts us back at 40 plus woohoo
For the umpteen-millionth time....WE ARE NOT CUTTING TOLER.
Oivey....

The free agent market for LBs this year sucks.
This is probably the best option, all things considered.
Ehhh I'd think Daryl Smith is a better LB and would've been a better fit.
