nah, you're fine. Just looking out for your friends, and I appreciate it. Funny thing, ALL I said was that Marshall would be someone "worth watching" someday. I never said he'd be great (although he might be) I just said someone worth watching.... still stand by that statement, HOW could he not be...???? :hello:

Lol Gramz think your on to something,I mean look at the Manning family.Archie, big brother ,wich if not for injury may have been great,PM and EM.Heres the question. Is it the water?Or is it the genes? If its the water send me 100 gallons lol .just a little humor
  2. For once, Irsay didn't go off the reservation like he has a tendency to on Twitter. Yes, a rookie wage scale should speed up the signing process & prevent holdouts thank God.

I don't give out draft grades. Let the season begin & then I will chime in with my analysis. Luck needed weapons to throw to I get it. Next draft had better solidify the secondary though with a lockdown corner.

I agree with you totally my freind, why give out grades,it means nothing till they get on the field and prove it.A kid can be loaded with talent, but if they dont have the drive 1rst,2nd if they dont have have the proper direction from coaching, and third avoid catastrophic injury they will never reach theyre full pontential. How can you grade this?
  3. schwamm " I have to agree with you,i was not a Luck fan to start with, thought he was spoiled and had a attitude, but the more i read his comments, the more he reminds me of PM.I think the same work ethic and dedication to doing things right is there,Barring injury this kid will be a great qb.I was not happy PM is gone ,and i will always be a fan of his,but its time to move on and support what we have now.

  4. Its tuff to take no matter who it is,its in the limelight on a high profile person like this.Over the years ive had 3 classmates and freinds do this, its just a total waste, and something you never get over or understand.

  5. In response to your comment BleedingBlue,I would totally be shocked if we dont stop the run,I think your selling short what we have in a healthy Nevis, the free agents from the Ravens and of course the big boy from Alabama Chapman ,wich from what ive read will be ready to go by training camp.So that being said the secondary will no longer have to cover for 5 to six seconds while Freeney and Mathis are being held trying to come around the outside.Reason why, your gonna have a push up the middle.Therefor the cover guys dont have to cover for long periods of time, wich i dont care how good your secondary is,thats an impossible thing to pull off against a good QB with decent recievers

  6. Brent i know you will agree with this, our secondary will no longer be a laughing stock given the chance to really play,As i recall until Nevis went down to injury our run defense was showing signs of life last year,.NO MORE undersized DLs ,no more being blown off the ball,PAGS wont stand for it.Your assement of attacking D will be right so now the secondary will have a chance to play.So now we set back and see what talent we really have .regaurdless it will be a vastly improved D from a vastly improved system.

  7. Okay, I must address the pink elephant in the room. Yes, we are under a whole new coaching staff & GM regime in INDY moving beyond the Polian-Caldwell-Manning Era, but let's tap the brakes on the red carpet roll out for Ryan Grigson alright. The draft was a good one especially the hidden gem of NT Champman if he emerges from injury with a clean bill of health. Yes, Andrew Luck needed movable targets to throw to & those offensive voids were adequately filled IMO. Just remember, Grigson is being judged against his predecessor Bill Polian, a 6 time Executive of the Year.

Grigson may well surpass Polian in bankable draft picks & I admire his work ethic & dedication. But, success in this league is all about productivity & longevity & that comes with time. Hold off on the parade & accolades for a little while yet please. Thank you. Grigson hasn't proven anything yet.

Your right my freind only time will tell the full story, but I like what i see so for, lets just call it a step in the right direction
  8. Well my last post before i go yo work.I agree we couldve used Upshaw,Glenn, among other people, but i said all along that if Fleener was there that selection was a no brainer,i still stick by that comment. If we took someone else at 2 it changes whole complection of the draft and we probably dont get the other players we got,And Southwest my good freind your right these are rookies its a big step up,but the talent is there and i do have faith this staff will bring it out.SMILE EVERYONE THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT!!!!!

  9. Im excited to see how things come together i for one think this team can be much better than people think,The defense will be vastly improved and fun to watch,Offense will be a growing process but if Luck is as good and as NFL ready as they say, this team will be good enough to make people take notice.

  10. Fleener is just one of many keys,Reggie will be a key as will the offensive line, and establishing a cosistent running game,.Special teams will be a big key as well as a Pagono run defense.People who say end of draft isnt important dont have a clue, its very important as welll as picking up free agents, what you do there can loom large.

  11. Going in some had Allen going ahead of Fleenor. When I saw Allen was available I knew we would have 2 TE's.....the two best TEs in the draft 2 and 3....I loved the call. My girlfriend said...everyone is going to think you are stupid. I said: Give them a couple of days to think about Arians's preference to use 2 TEs......and a man named Luck. Good point 28!!! :)

Have to admit Brent i was scratching my head for a few,but the more i tought about it,and looked up things on Allen the more it made total sense.Allen can do everything well,Fleener has the potential to be a great receiver, can line up te or wr.I personally feel this was a great and very smart draft, surrounding Luck with tools to suceed
