At first I thought the Colts were going to possibly take a step back. This is a very manageable schedule with the best teams at home.  Had a losing record at home last year but hopefully they can improve on that. 8-9 wins seems right and can +\- 2 wins depending on health and the defense. I think the offense and special teams play great this year.

The Colts will host the following teams at Lucas Oil Stadium in 2024:

    Houston Texans

    Jacksonville Jaguars

    Tennessee Titans

    Buffalo Bills

    Miami Dolphins

    Pittsburgh Steelers

    Chicago Bears

    Detroit Lions

The Colts will face the following teams on the road:

    Houston Texans

    Jacksonville Jaguars

    Tennessee Titans

    New York Jets

    New England Patriots

    Denver Broncos

    New York Giants

    Green Bay Packers

    Minnesota Vikings

I think it depends on how strong the AFC South is this year.

I think it will be much stronger than in past years.

Texans - Will probably add a WR weapon in the draft. Stroud will be better with a new weapon.

Jags - the same, need a WR and Lawrence will be healthy

Titans - Have added Ridley and still have Hopkins.  Would love for AR to have weapons like that.

Colts - wait and see until after the draft.  They really have not made any real moves yet.  Yes AR will be back but this division will be much tougher.

I didn't watch it, because one game is mostly irrelevant to me. It's the body of work.

I like McConkey though and as Superman said, the list I posted wasn't comprehensive, because the other WR scores haven't been published.

Come on watch the video. It's only a minute long.

Don't you have alot of time to kill this off season ? Lol !

I loved most of McConkey's film I watched... until I put the Alabama tape on. Both Arnold and McKinstry kinda of... manhandled him. I guess this is the biggest worry with him - his physicality and surviving first contact on press-coverage.

Here's a hot take... I think I like Ricky Pearsall better than McConkey and I still do like McConkey too...

Mcconkey was injured in the Alabama game but he gutted it and gave everything he had for his team.

    He played injured.

Bowers was injured too but Bowers gave it his all for his team.

They won 6 games last year.  I don't think they are much better than last year unless Levis really improves

Levis should improve with Ridley and Hopkins.

    Both are premier WRs

It's RAS. It's not about straight-line speed. It's a way to grade their in-game athleticism.

Mcconkey had a RAS of 9.4

So why is he not on the list ?

And let's not forget that Puca Nacua had a RAS of 5.0.

Ballard wouldn't have touched him with a 10 foot pole.

Some guys like Puca and Mcconkey just know how to play football.

Forget about RAS and GAS scores

    From PFF.com

    • Malik Nabers, LSU — 99th percentile
    • Adonai Mitchell, Texas — 99th
    • Xavier Worthy, Texas —99th
    • Xavier Legette, South Carolina — 99th
    • Rome Odunze, Washington — 98th
    • Marvin Harrison Jr., Ohio State — 96th
    • Emeka Egbuka, Ohio State — 93rd
    • Keon Coleman, Florida State — 93rd
    • Troy Franklin, Oregon — 92nd
    • Johnny Wilson, Florida State — 91st
    • Malachi Corley, Western Kentucky — 81st

No Ladd McConkey who ran a 4.4 ?

I have to question this whole ranking

Hey in fairness to Chloe she had a dog she loved a lot and lost.  With respect to you Jskinnz I am sure you didn’t know what when you said this.  I know you meant no malice but as a pet lover losing one you love a lot can take a long time to recover from.

    I can understand the pain.

I had a chihuahua that I loved with all my heart who passed away last summer at the age of 11.

Me and the family were completely devastated.

Someone once told me that "When a pet you love passes away you will have a hole in your heart forever"

I completely believe it as I'm still not over her passing

Any University of Georgia football fans here? The Vikes drafted former Georgia Bulldog safety Lewis Cine in the first round two years ago. He missed the first year with injury and did not play much last season. He is likely to be cut, as Camryn Bynum, Harrison Smith, Josh Metellus and maybe others are ahead of him on the depth chart.

Is he worth trading a 7th round pick for?

    I'm a huge UGA fan.

Cine was a hechava player at his time in UGA and was instrumental in the Bulldogs winning their national championship.

It's a shame he tore his ACL.

But if he's healthy he's as good as any FS coming out in the draft this year.

I'd love for the Colts to invite him to camp and let him compete

he said we need more explosiveness on offense and to limit explosive plays on defense… that would mean defensive backs

Our WR corps at this point is very mundane and far from explosive

And why would you draft a CB at 15 to play in Gus's deep soft cover 2 zone where CB play 15 yards off the receiver?

A 3rd or 4th round rookie will do fine there.

That's why Ballard dropped the Sneed pursuit

Chloe, you still don't get it. Ballard does NOT value CB at that level. I really doubt he spends a top 15 pick on the position, especially since NONE of the top CBs in the draft cover his length requirements for the position. He might trade back to the end of the 1st or beginning of R2 and take like... Kool-Aid McKinstry or TJ Tampa or Ennis Rakestraw ...

But you know what position he really values? He values the hell out of the trenches and especially defensive trenches... and there are players in that 15 range that fit the bill... Dallas Turner(if he falls to 15)... he's like almost carbon copy of the guy he tried to sign in FA - Danielle Hunter if you look at his measurements and testing, Jared Verse, Chop Robinson, Latu... he can easily fall in love with any of them IMO,

I really hope that Ballard goes best available WR at 15 to give AR all the help he needs.

Dallas Turner won't make it past the Falcons since they signed Cousins one of my favorite QBs. @NFLfan

Ballard says we need to be more explosive and I can't see how signing a cb at 15 makes us more explosive .

Ballard will sign a cb in the 3rd or 4th round

It's less about can you and more about should you. This is the definition of paying A money to a B player, which Ballard has said multiple times before he won't do. Sneed got $10.5M more guaranteed money than any CB in NFL history. A 27 year old CB with chronic knee issues, that wasn't the best CB on the Chiefs, wasn't a pro-bowler, and was never an all-pro. Why should that player get paid as one of the top CBs in the league with more guaranteed money than any CB has ever been paid before?

Jaylon Johnson's contract was expensive, but he was worth it. He was the top rated CB based on PFF, was a pro bowler, and an all-pro. He was largely considered the best CB in the league. You're saying it's a good idea to give the same contract with more guaranteed to a much lesser CB like Sneed?

I realize your trying to defend Ballard with a "sour grapes" approach but the contract given to Sneed is not bad at all especially since the salary cap has gone up.

I mentioned before that fans think teams will be able to sign more players with the salary cap going up.  In fact all that really happens is FA salaries go up to fit the higher cap again.  Its a natural "inflation" of salaries.

I realize some fans are getting "sticker shock" but keep in mind soon premier WR's will be getting 32-33M a season.

Also I'm not sure how many chiefs games you watched in their playoff run, but Sneed was a dominant corner in that run.  He was critical in defeating the Bills and the 49ers in the superbowl and clearly the best player in the secondary.

During the Bills game he shutdown an entire side of the field forcing Josh Allen to look at his 3rd or 4th option.  By that time, Chris Jones was closing in greatly limiting Allen's effectiveness in that game, forcing him out of the pocket.

    The contract is well deserved.

We need explosion.  Trade pick 15 and 46 to ATL for pick 8, and pick the most explosive guy on the board.  Don't settle for what's left at 15.

I would love to have Mitchell or bowers at 8.

But we have to stop with the fantasy.

    Ballard will never trade up

The issue is Ballard almost never spends in FA. This has been going on for 7 going on 8 years now. It's no longer a wait and see thing where we might do something. It's just we aren't doing anything.

At the beginning there was the thought we may do something with Richardson as the possible franchise QB now. It continued when we were supposedly in talks for Sneed. There were some talks for Danielle Hunter. Like usual though, it turned into nothing because of a possible combination of money and/or draft capital where Ballard didn't want to spend or give draft capital up.

We may sign someone decent still, but overall, we basically have the same team with a worse secondary and we are paying the same players more money. The AFC is the tougher conference and we really aren't any better now than last year at this point with most of the top FAs signed. Our history says we won't sign someone big or make a big trade either (just one with Buckner).

So we're headed into the draft without any improvement and now we have to depend on rookies in year 1 as the improvement along with improvements from our own. It hasn't worked under Ballard for 7 years, and unless AR has an insane breakout season, I doubt it works this year.

Unless his plan works. --> That seems to be the complaint. the plan hasn't changed and has remained the same for 7 years, bearing nothing. if we don't get a CB1, its likely that our defense is towards last in the league, for the 3rd straight year in a row.  He has kept the same mantra of resigning his own, whilst filling holes in the draft. My prediction? We draft a late round, high RAS corner, and end up 28th again in PPG.

That’s why I am just going to let things play out --> we do have the draft.. and some budget FAs left, so maybe we sign a guy and get some value, maybe we draft a corner in rd 1 or 2. But what happens when Brents gets injured again? We are back to a rookie and a 7th rounder at outside corner. . . if something like this happens again, which seems very likely given ballards MO, he will get fired. There's no way you can repeat the same mistakes over and over. The only thing that might save him from not solving the CB issue is if he scapegoats Gus Bradley, which might buy him 1 additional year. Which, by the way, Ballard has been a master at balancing action vs. nonaction to dictate expectations, and thus his expectation of performance.

Not like I can do anything about it. -->  fan sentiment does matter.

The definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing over and over and expect a different result...
