  1. How can this be ? His RAS score was off the charts !
  2. Thanks for the link. I was finally able to watch the video. He made a conscious decision to cut up the middle of the field (instead of to the sidelines) and made no effort to slide before tacklers had their hands on him. He initiated contact with the defenders and they threw him to the ground. He should have made an effort to run out of bounds instead of the middle of the field and slide if he couldn't make it out of bounds. But you're right, it was a difficult play. Bottom line, Mahommes for example keeps a space of 1-2 yards around him and if any defender gets in that space, he is running out of bounds or sliding.
  3. I'm sorry but it says "video unavailable" Can I go to youtube and search for something?
  4. What if we draft Nix and end up with a Trey Lance Brock Purdy situation ? As long as the Colts are winning!
  5. In your opinion In my opinion he needs to change by sliding and running out of bounds
  6. If AR changes his playing style he should last the whole season. On the injury that ended his season (designed run) he tried to deliver blows to the linebackers and run them over. Those LB's then tackled him hard and threw him to the ground. Perhaps on that designed run he should have simply run out of bounds. If he had, he might have finished the game. If he doesn't change his playing style, he might not last half the season. So really it is up to AR how many games he plays. Steichen needs to tell him to run out of bounds or slide.
  7. Since he has to work with the new coaches. I think it would be a disconnect not to involve Gus
  8. Steichen should have enormous influence on the draft. Maybe not defensive players but definitely on the offense. I have the feeling Steichen will lean on his experience with Philadelphia and go get us a Devonte Smith.
  9. Is Gus making these calls ? He's the DC right ?
  10. Ok thanks for that info. So cooter would want the position because it entails calling plays and calling plays is a stepping stone to being a HC. I don't see cooter as irreplaceable since he doesn't call plays here. Shane may just let him go as a favor to sirriani.
  11. He had a poor RAS score but he's balling now !!
  12. My picks as well. Hoping the Texans win to inspire AR and put the eye of the tiger in him. I can't stand the chiefs so Go Bills ! I like the Lions and GB too
  13. I would say 15-20. He's not great but not bad enough to be fired. 15-20 equals a 9-8 record. He's a middle of the pack GM and the Colts are a middle of the pack team. Regardless of my opinion, I think its worth posting again that he is tied to AR, hence the "reset" some other posters mention. Ballard has his work cut out for him. He has to give AR weapons like AJ Brown and Devante Smith. Fix the oline, find a pass rusher etc. My hope is that Steichen has alot of input in the draft and Shane can really look at players and find some good ones. Steichen had alot to do with the eagles rebuild at least on the offensive side of the ball. Has it ever occurred to anyone that perhaps Ballard leans on RAS scores so much because he can't truly evaluate good players ?
  14. I always say the same thing. Once a man finds a good woman and God, the rest will fall into place...
  15. If irsay has fallen off the wagon I hope he gets the help he needs to get back on the wagon. He'll need a strong support system from his daughters or family. Is he married? Perhaps a wife would make him feel better. I also recommend he gives up the rock n roll life style. A bunch of rock n roll people are the last people a reformed alcoholic needs to hang out with.
  16. Caserio is kicking turtle ballards *. Sorry if that disrupts your sense of this world. I see another 9-8 season coming under turtle Ballard I feel like a Turtle waiting for Turtle Ballard to do something. Anything
  17. Where did the texan GM come from ? Perhaps we can look there. Surely as reasonable people we can acknowledge that the texan GM has run circles around Turtle Ballard. Am I right ???
  18. You don't need to tell me anything. I would like you to start supporting the workers instead of being a shill for management Are there any other questions?
  19. The problem is solved for the Colts but not Pittman. If Pittman has a serious knee injury during his franchise year his career could be over. There is no security for the player with a FT
  20. On this we agree. Ballard is tied to the success of AR. If AR is a bust, Ballard will be fired. If AR is a huge success, Ballard will get several more years. But Ballard has his work cut out for him in next year's draft and FA period. I suggest he follow the Eagles template and I'm hoping Shane throws some of his weight around having influence on picks and free agents. Ballard will have to; - Find two number 1 receivers like AJ Brown and Devante Smith. Is Pittman one of the number 1's ? - Fix the Oline or the tackle position. Should we be drafting Kelly's replacement ? He only has one year on his contract. - Get a great pass rusher - Get a good backup RB Ballard has to do everything in his power to help AR be successful. The last thing we want is the Oline collapsing and our receivers can't get separation and AR takes off running. Too much running leads to the injuries.
