With colts playing Willis I think putting cross at strong safety they will be fine. They will probably try and run so him at strong safety and his physical play we should be ok.

I feel dumb I didn’t think of cross playing SS and Thomas FS. I think they will be ok. Especially with Willis starting.

Bryan should not be on this team. He is playing out of position when they ask him to be a run stuffer. I agree he does have to get back into football shape.

Seems like Ballard forgot his philosophy when you draft young late round picks. Franklin and speed had to earn their stripes on special teams. Then they improved to be starters in a few years. Guys like jones should be a backup to a vet for a couple of years and earn the starting job. If they are going to continue to just throw young guys in the secondary won’t move forward:

I think them allowing all those rush yards was the result of the game plan.

I don’t think a guardian cap would have helped him. He seemed to get this concussion more from his neck bending then the actual hit to the head. Everyone was wondering what they were doing in the off season but it seems to have worked so far.

It’s crazy how much AR is Josh Allen’s twin. The one difference is decision making. So far AR seems to be a better decision maker in the pass game and doesn’t take the risks Allen does. I think Colts have a slightly better team than Allen had his rookie year. But all I could think about last night watching Josh was how much him and AR playing style is the same.

Next year will be the same. He will go draft and add but have the excuse they are young. Only way to fix this and move forward is to sign a couple proven vets.

This team is very good in every spot but the secondary. We have the QB. But you can’t leave a big hole like at safety and corner. QB is the biggest battle and we don’t need one. I dont hate Ballard. Colts need him to succeed because a new GM would be bad.his problem is he has a blind spot that ends up hurting them not making the playoffs. This year it was even worse because he admitted they needed to add and did nothing.

He had over a 1k yards last season. We aren’t talking about a bad WR here. Coutee was the bad one that always killed colts.

Sorry if I didn’t make myself clear. In 22 when they were searching for a new DC they couldn’t get the guys they wanted. They had to settle on Gus. Seems like tackling is always bad in the first game. I imagine it’s the lack of preseason and not really tackling in TC.

Ballard isn’t helping Bradley either with the lack of talent in the secondary.

To be fair Mike was wrong about Collin’s. You can’t double team him. Then diggs or tank kill you. To be fair Collin’s was doubled on the big play and still caught it. The other part about what Lombardi said is true. Steichen is the head coach and he needs to act like a head coach start making some demands.
