I saw a mock where they picked a corner at 15. Then traded with Bucs for BTJ.

Hopeful that he sees his market and it gets done. Injuries and a bloated safety market haven’t helped.

I done follow draft very much except for some big names. Are there any CB that could be there at 46 so colts could go offense at 15. Just makes me sick we might pass on an elite pass catcher.

I feel pretty confident colts want him back and are just letting him see what his value is. Colts have 2 huge safety holes and need him back.

Not sure the market will shift that much where all of a sudden he gets a ton of money. He might be smart to sign another prove it deal with the colts.

Tell you the truth we need Blackmon back plus a vet free safety. We need both.

I would hope. McKinney is very young so that would have been great but Simmons can still play. The issue is these older guys hold out to try and get with teams they think will win a SB.

They said McKinney was close on a very large contract and packers just outbid. That would have been a heck of a pickup. At least they are trying. Seems dumb to me though to go after a 31 year old pass rusher instead of fixing the secondary.

Heard tonight that Xavier McKinney was very close to signing with colts. The sneed thing talks broke off because he kept wanting more money. Hunter was close but he took less to go home.

Texans bolstering their secondary.

Normally I can understand where Ballard is coming from with decisions. The one year he let Autry and Houston go because we had so many young guys we had used high picks on and they needed to play. While that didn’t completely work and least I can understand with the high draft picks we had used. It makes zero sense to be so in on 7th round and undrafted guys. You should not be banking on a high ceiling from them. If they were projected to have a high ceiling they would have been drafted or went higher. It rarely works your going to get a really good starter in these incidences.

This is probably the first offseason though where I truly don’t understand what the heck Ballard is doing or trying to accomplish with this secondary . It makes zero sense to me. Maybe in a few weeks it will make more sense but right now it doesn’t. There is no way Bradley is ok with this secondary.

Every year fans yell and scream about an obvious weakness and once the season starts it turns out fans were right.

Colts have always needed an upgrade here and there. Saying that I don’t ever remember a position group under Ballard ever being this big of a weakness. Outside of QB I just don’t remember having this big of a weakness.

I think local media might have a chance to talk to Ballard and Steichen next week at the owners meetings. If I remember they have talked to them in the past.

All I know is nothing makes sense this offseason. One of the worst off seasons I can remember in a long time.

I still feel this way too. One thing I have thought of was they need to restructure some contracts before signing him. So they want to keep it on the down low so nobody jumps in. Maybe just being hopeful but none of this offseason makes any sense.

Mike Chappell said on his podcast that he wouldn’t say the sneed thing is dead. He is going to make 19 million this year. So if he can’t get an extension from another team with more guarantees he might as well stay. He has a team so he really has no rush.

SF starting SS is coming off a ACL tear for what it is worth.

Brent’s can’t stay healthy Flowers coming off Achilles. Takes while if at all to get the explosion back. Might not even be ready. Jonas seventh round pick. This is one of the worse corner back rooms in the league. Then add no safeties makes it the worst secondary in the league. There is no way Ballard can justify this.
