  1. Im all on board and love the pick. It will be interesting to look back in 2 years or so and see who was right. https://firstroundmock.com/2023/04/anthony-richardson-is-a-bust-according-to-former-nfl-scout/
  2. Cook will want around 10 a,year so I don't see that happening. I will go on and on but Steichen is the key and how valuable does he see Taylor as being to his offence. I think if he thought JT was going to be a stud, there would be more pressure from him to get a deal done.
  3. He kind of reminds me of Maurice Jones-Drew He kind of reminds me of Maurice Jones-Drew He kind of reminds me of Maurice Jones-Drew He kind of reminds me of Maurice Jones-Drew He kind of reminds me of Maurice Jones-Drew He kind of reminds me of Maurice Jones-Drew
  4. Yeah u have one guy who wants out and Hull will smell blood in the water. He will be supremely motivated in light of the uncertainty at the rb position.
  5. Never pick a fight with w billionaire. He maybe wrong and come across as childish but in the end they will always win lol.
  6. Giving him away? At this point want do u think a rb is worth who wants a new deal in today's market who doesn't want to play for his current team? A 5th or 6th rounder? I bet the Colts would just bury him and send him home if it got bad rather than trading him.

  8. Well I am Canadian and we have very strict gun laws, so pulling the trigger is not very likely lol. I just dont want this to continue to steam roll. I think Taylor is going to be a head ache all season long even if he plays and has a good season. Based on all this stuff, I think he is gone next year no matter the year he has.
  9. hmmmm.....wasnt i saying this a couple of days ago that Taylor may not be all he was made out to be?? Like i said, more than a few pod casts reporters were kind of taken a back by his lack of accountability last year. I do think that before this gets out of control and a lot of mud gets slung, it is time to pull the trigger
  10. I dont see the Colts picking Harrison if he is there. Plus, we dont know what the team will look like next year and if they are picking in the top 5, they will have some serious holes. I would see DE and/or LT if Rainmann washes out as bigger needs
  11. It is funny but I actually think Pittman may not be a Colt after next year and his situation is quite the opposite of Taylor. The wr market has exploded and Pittman's starting point maybe 20 million. Do the Colts sign him? I don't think they will because I think Ballard will view that as an overpay. He may get that some where else but I am not sure the Colts would match any offer. U don't mind over paying for great players but over playing for good players will bite you in the butt.
  12. Every situation is different when a player demands a trade. Lamar did it with Baltimore and in most situations, I am all for trading a player if he wants it. However, Lamar and Taylor are two different animals. One is a franchise qb's who's feelings were hurt and money always makes people forget about the past. Taylor is much different, as previously listed in numerous posts. I know a lot has been made of Ballard drafting Taylor and people criticize him for spending a 2nd on a guy who will probably be only hear for one contract. Ballard drafted for Reich's scheme and I applaud him for that, but we have a new coach and scheme. There is no doubt that Taylor has seen the writing on the wall. At the end of the day, I just don't think he has any options. Taylor has one option to improve his stock for next year. He comes in and plays and shows this team that he is a dynamic runner and pass catcher. If the Colts decide not to keep him based on his elite skill set in those 2 areas, then someone else may. However, he is not going to hone those skills sitting on the sidelines. A year off for him would be catastrophic for him financially
  13. Well he is taking a bullet and it aint going to happen. Taylor cannot reset the market. Now lets say he finished with say 1300 yards rushing last year and 900 yards catching. He would get an extension. I think he would have gotten a contract close or maybe surpassing McAfferey. I still don't think it would have a been a reset. The Colts would have paid him based on his skill set and being a weapon and not being a rb. There are only a select few 3 down backs in the NFL who can do it all and never leave the game under any circumstance. Taylor is not one of them
  14. He could get 2000 rushing and as silly as that sounds, it would probably diminish his value. Teams would look at his work load out of college his 1800 yard year and then say a 2000 yard year (not going to happen I know) and would be more fearful of wear and tear. It is just the market for rbs has gone south and honestly with all these backs excelling coming straight out of college and to boot being low draft picks, this is just the beginning. The only way Taylor gets that 2nd contract that he wants is to put up numbers like 1300 yards rushing with say 800 yards catching. He has to show that he is special. I also think that Taylor is so adamant about wanting a new contract is because I think he knows that he is not going to be put in a position to be the Kamara and McAfferey's in this offence under Steichen. Steichen probably had Taylor slotted for specific plays and in those crucial passing downs, Taylor may have been riding the bench. Just my hunch. I think if this year played out and Taylor would have played without all these noise, his numbers may have just been so so!! Taylor is very bright and maybe her read the tea leaves.
  15. By all accounts, Taylor is an incredibly intelligent man, as he could have went to Harvard. Is sitting out the season the move that an intelligent man would make? However, maybe he is more prideful/stubborn than intelligent? Logic usually wins over and it would not shock me if Taylor fired his agent. This is always a good way of resetting the dialogue between player and team.
  16. I have always stated that just based on what Steichen did in Philly, Taylor's skill set is not a fit for this offence or better yet not a fit for based on we all think Taylor wants per year. I see Steichen as a plug and play coach when it comes to the rb position. Ballard may have initially been all over Taylor as wanting to resign him to an extension, he kind of alluded to that. Then he had a sit down with Steichen and Irsay and Ballard may have done a complete 180, which is allowed. New coach, new philosophy and scheme. Look at what Philly just did with Saunders. You would think that their philosophy would rub off on him and I think Steichen is more focused on the wr and te positions and getting value
  17. I do find it funny when a player says they will sit out. So,he wants more money and that is the issue and apparently he is willing to kiss off $4.5 million which he will never make back!! Does that make sense to you??They always threaten and always come back withexception of Bell and that was an absolute disaster for him financially.
  18. If i was the Colts, i would honestly send him home with a free 12 month Netflix subscription. I do agree that the Colts are in a new phase with some exciting young players and it is a breath of fresh air. They have lived with the qb carrousel for years and I dont think the teams needs to be dealing with this soap opera all year long. Just my 2 cents.
  19. How are they between a rock and hard place? He is under contract. He needs to have a stellar year to hopefully get that extension that he covets. He holds out and he loses money and risks some young buck taking his place. He decides to dog it through the season and his stock will plummet. This is not Mahommes, Herbert or Burrows making noise. This is a running back which is probably the most replaceable position in the NFL. Don't believe me, just ask Jacobs and Barkley and the next star rb that is up for a 2nd contract. The Colts will go forward with or without Taylor this year. This will all fade away once the season starts and if he is on the bench, no matter. The team will be focused on the development of Richardson, Peirce, Woods, the hopefully rejuvenated Oline, the hopefully health Leonard. If some of these stories develop, he wont be missed. Having and/or not having Taylor is not going to make much difference in this team making the playoffs. The theme for this year is young player development and the future. Sadly ,and I think the team knows this, but by the time Taylor's wheels start to come off, we will hopefully start to see some of these young picks start to show what they have. Hard to say this, but Taylor is not really part of the future plan. He is here and the now and that is easily expendable. If they make the playoffs then that is a bonus but that is not my expectation.
  20. I was listening to JMV and Kravitz was on the show and he kind of echoed what I have been saying for awhile, and I don't agree with Kravitz much lol. If Taylor was a better pass catcher and on the same level as Kamara and McAfferey in that area, a deal would probably have been done by now. Taylor's skill set fit more under Reich where he could be that bell cow kind of back. Steichen, I believe, thinks he can put a back with some talent back there and he will excel with RPO's and Richardson as their qb. Kravitz stated this and I fully agree. I think Taylor is playing a very dangerous game at this time. If he sits out and one of these backs fills in admirably, it will even more destroy his value and the rb market in general. There is speculation out there that Taylor may want to be the highest rb. I think we can all agree that he is not worthy of such a contract.
  21. As I predicted on page 5 of this post that this was going to get contentious.
  22. I agree 10 pounds undss isn't much because off his frame and strength and conditioning coaches in the NFL. They will train him so he can adapt to the minor weight gain with no loss of speed and/or athleticism.
  23. I never said I talked to a source. That quote is from a reporter. The point is I was right. It has been leaked that Taylor wants a salary that the Colts nor anyone else in the league will match
