  1. Taylor can do all he wants but he aint getting what he wants. Did you see the contract for Cook? It just once again shows that the market just isnt there. There is also news out there that Cook get suspended and the Jets are protecting themselves, but I still think Cook would have signed for less than 10 mill even if he was squeaky clean. It is just not there for JT and he needs to realize that. There is no way he is forcing the Colts hands. Play or not, I dont think the Colts want him back next year even on a franchise tag.
  2. How do the Colts trade him to say the Bills? Do u think Taylor is going to go to the Bills under the same contract? U think he agrees to play for the Bills for 4 million and a free agent next year? I don't and that is why he is of untradeable. Irsay said he is going no where and I believe him so it's all mute
  3. Missing the point. They can send him any where they want, but he wants a new contract. The new team would have to redo his contract. Taylor wants out of Indy cause he wants more money. Star rbs this year couldn't get squat from their present teams so how is Taylor so special that he would get traded and then a new contract that he would be happy with? Irsay said he isn't trading him. If the Colts trade him, he looks likes a clown. Irsays clown show was 2022 and I am sure he doesn't want to keep that story line going.
  4. There is no way that Miami is trading a young DE for a rb. People are forgetting this. Taylor may want a trade but do u think he is going to another team unless there is a contract in place for let's say 15 million a year? I don't think so. What team is going to trade for Taylor under these circumstances. He wants a new contract whether it be from the Colts or the next team. To me, he is almost untradeable given his current demands. Like I have said. If he continues to mope, I cut him loose or just send him home for the year. The Colts cannot bend because they didn't acce with Moore last year, and they can not make a trend of redoing contracts unless it is warranted. An example of redoing a contract is Chris Jones for KC. He is under contract but he has totally out played his current contract and he has tons of leverage. He is as important to the D as Mahommes is to the O. He is in the Bosa and Parsons class in terms of talent. He is a game wrecker.
  5. I was totally against resigning Nelso and Leaonrd when they did and I gave my reasons back then and I was totally right. I get JTs issue when those two guys got paid and played non premium positions. However a lot has changed. The rb market has gone very stale. I also think that Ballard is stinging from the Nelson contract. He extended when he had no business doing it. I also think Irsay maybe more involved in these contracts as of late. JT is being stubborn and wants the team to play nice when all the information out there based on history of the rb postion is DO NOT EXTEND HIM!! Let him play our this year. For a very smart guy, this seems to evade Taylor and he is looking rather foolish even though I know what he has to be feeling. To me if Nelson, Leoanrd and JT were all healthy, I would probably pick as more valuable to this team.
  6. Actually wasn't Nelson dealing with injuries and then he got a new contract last year? Just saying. He was dealing with back injuries in Wentz's year
  7. Yes they did. They got the best rated player in the draft and a pass rusher at the back end of the 1st. This all hinges on Carter being able to stay clean. I think he is a disaster waiting to happen. He makes poor choices but the Eagles will try and insulate him. I don't think he will stay our of trouble.
  8. Do u think Irsay is watching Ballard in terms of how he deals with the Taylor situation? I do think Irsay has it in his heas how he would deal with Taylor if he was GM. I don't think Irsay wil be to happy if Taylor comes back and continues to mope. I hope that Steichen and Ballard get together and don't let it fester. To me, I would send him home and would not let him walk around with a hoodie.
  9. Yes, but I did call it. That D did not face anyone al year and I felt they were way over hyped. I don't expect the Eagles to be as dominant this year.
  10. The reason they lost the superbowl was not because they didn't have Taylor or an elite back. They lost because their Defence sucked and Gannon was a horrible play caller.
  11. There is no way that any team with let's say a top 5 pick next year or maybe higher is trading for Pittman and Taylor let alone in contract years. I am not being critical but if u follow the draft that will never happen. Plus, there is no doubt that Zona is going to have a disastrous year and Texans will not do well. I was not a Stroud guy so I expect Texans to have a top 5 pick. So u could have Zona with the number 1 pick and say the Texans top 5. They would go Williams and say Harrison Jr. That's the future. They are moving on from Murray this year. So they could own the draft next year if they are able to pawn off Murray.
  12. The one thing that I have taken from Richardson's film and post draft is this. I don't think he crumbles under pressure. I think he will embrace it and he will not fail because of his intangibles. He wil fail simply because he cannot hit the broad side of a barn but evertlytjing else is great lol.
  13. Do nor get Richardson killed. We all knowvthst many a young qb fails in this league to being overdrafted and secondly playing behind a poor Oline.
  14. What ever works. This team is not going to the playoffs and that is fine with me unless Richardson balls out. However, if this team falls short of some success and that lack of success is due to bad Oline play, then Ballard needs to go.
  15. Their problem last year was both pass and run blocking . I don't take a lot from preseason. I think practices against other teams will tell us more.
  16. Go back and the Colts have had good success running at this Dline as have most teams. They r susceptible to the run. When our Oline was playing up to their talent, they mowed them down.
  17. That's a lot of money to pay your guards, but Steichen may need to in order to save Ballard's butt. We can go back and forth on Ballard and excuse him for the current state of the Colts, as many do on this forum. However, the one thing he can not escape is the current state of this Oline. If it fails, that is totally on him, and he emphasized the building of the trenches when he took over the team. He has poured in a ton of assets into the Oline, which seems to be going backward at an epic rate since 2022, and u can also consider 2021 if u consider pass protection.
  18. Bills Dline is small. They are penetrators and play that Tampa D. If our Oline the way it is built doesn't take them to the woodshed, then be very worried.
  19. I think they will keep Minshew no matter what. He is a veteran and the goal is to develop Richardson and Minshew helps with that. Winning games is secondary and Ehlinger is a nice guy but has no value over Minshew as I see it.
  20. Don't sign Nelson to a contract and let it play out. Don't resign Leonard and put him out there for trade bait. Leonard is done and next prediction. Taylor won't play another snap for the Colts.

  22. U know Peyton Manning. The greatest clutch performer in the history of the NFL. Scratch that, I was thinking of someone else.
