  1. So, is a theme here is that none of the project WRs Ballard has picked in later rounds have worked out? All of them are gone.
  2. My thought is that if we look up the RAS scores of the OL who are cut and find one with a high score, there's a decent chance Ballard will sign that guy. High RAS seems to be the baseline qualification for Colts O-linemen.
  3. The Colts signed kicker Matt Gay for more than Taylor makes, too.
  4. Hopefully Bullhead can see the line he's built needs some reconstruction.
  5. A reporter isn't demanding an answer; they are merely asking for one, which is their job after all. If they don't keep asking, they are complicit in the public not getting an answer until the company decides it's in their own best interest to address the question. That's particularly bad in a situation like this where it appears that someone may be lying and others are going along with that lie or set of lies. If the media ignores the question until the Colts decide to address it, aren't they potentially kind of going along with a lie, too, in order to not upset anyone?
  6. The question is designed to get at the truth of what's happening. Isn't that job #1 for the media?
  7. But you said that his run defense was the only issue anywhere he's been and that doesn't seem to necessarily be the case. Like him going after his team's owner on Twitter, for instance. And here you are throwing around exclamation points and calling other people's viewpoints "nonsense." I don't really care about this question one way or the other because the guy is no longer a Colt and that's fine with me, but you should lighten up.
  8. Maybe not the only issue. https://ebonybird.com/2020/04/20/yannick-ngakoue-headache-not-worth-ravens-time/ https://www.google.com/amp/s/nypost.com/2020/04/08/yannick-ngakoue-takes-shots-at-jaguars-in-hopes-of-trade/amp/
  9. Irsay gets a bad reputation because he has a long history of saying and doing wacky things. If he wants better media coverage he needs to act more professional - and quit tweeting some of the crap he tweets
  10. If you're realistic about the team's chances this season and what the true measures of progress should be, you could find satisfaction instead of disappointment despite the losing season ahead.
  11. The definition of a prediction is what you think will happen, not what you hope will happen. Should we all just say they'll win every game 70-0? If we're not trying to be right, we might as well go big on it.
  12. The Colts started Y.A. Tittle as a rookie and that turned out pretty well.
  13. Nobody disagrees with that. How could anyone disagree with that? But a lot of people think he will not be ready.
  14. Training Camp is going well from a let's get a top draft pick perspective.
  15. What is Irsay's quote here supposed to mean? That Taylor and everyone else on the Colts, including him don't really matter? How is that helpful in dealing with Taylor and other players? Why can't he just keep quiet and let his GM manage personnel?
  16. This seems exactly right. The doc's analysis has to put focus on what the athlete says he's feeling.
  17. What I read that Irsay said is "Jonathan is healed up." That seems more vague to me than what some here are suggesting in saying Irsay said Taylor is 100% and ready to go. Especially if you think about Irsay's history of making unpolished public statements. That being said, I still wouldn't be surprised if Taylor's not really unable to practice.
  18. Nah, I don't mean this in an overly negative way but he's got other things to work on to get where he will need to be: Weaknesses Inconsistency and inaccuracy made it hard for him to have sustained success. Could use a better feel for the timing of his progressions. Needs to take some spice off short throws. Below average touch and ball placement rolling out. Hasn’t learned to manipulate coverage with his eyes. Struggles to paint intermediate zone holes with anticipatory throws. Accuracy issues are often a function of poor footwork. Loses track of coverage and will throw into danger. Too willing to flip the ball out instead of taking a sack. https://www.nfl.com/prospects/anthony-richardson/32005249-4338-7833-9fd1-1d5e168eb504
  19. Yes, Allen was better his second season. I hope Richardson will be, too. Still, the Bills ranked #22 in total offense and #23 in passing yards in Allen's second season. They were #2 in the NFL in total defense, which was the key to their 10-6 record.
  20. Thank you. You're making my point. Richardson is likely to struggle his rookie year like Josh Allen did.
  21. So he's going to immediately go from being middle of the pack in the SEC, at best, to one of the 20 best QBs on the planet. Because fixing his deficiencies is easy. I hope you're right, but I don't think so.
  22. You're saying he will start out out as a slightly below average starting quarterback? Like at the start he'll already be better than almost half of the starting quarterbacks in the league? That doesn't seem probable to me
