Can't blame them, we don't derseve it and with how the Pats have played lately, neither do they. If they dropped a third game this weekend, it will be a really good move.
-
Cut by Philly! I say we bring him back for a guard position/maybe need him at tackle at times. Not the greatest elite player, but knows our system and isn't that bad.
Do you think we do it?
-
He is a great person, we enjoyed watching him kick the football around before the KC game, like a soccer ball. It was fun watching him.
-
Any information about him? Per Irsay on Twitter:
http://twitter.com/#!/JimIrsay
Says he did some spot duty for Detroit, but nothing else.
-
At this point probably it does not matter if we win it or not, so why not try to test Painter's nerve and get him some experience? Game was on his shoulder and he blew it, fine....
Because I think Carter might ben an every down back and a good one at that. We need to get a running game for Manning when he comes back.
-
I thought we needed Carter running when we were inside the 5 trying to score...two chances and that guy would have knocked them in!

Charlie Casserly reported on NFL today that Caldwell will be back in 2012. Said there is "no doubt"! It is truely pathetic that a coach can be this bad and still get a ringing endorsment from management. Its like somebody else stated in another thread, Caldwell and Manning will come back next season and they'll start winning again and people will all of a sudden forget just how bad a coach Caldwell is and we'll be stuck with him for yrs..
Even the year Caldwell took us to the SB, I have never been impressed with him. I have asked for them to get rid of him for a while. Even before this year.
-
Why don't we keep Brackett and move him outside, allowing Angerer inside?
-
My guess, as some have said, they realized he isn't the answer and most likely, due to his age. Playing again after a concussion isn't very smart. Was just a matter of time. Too bad, but at least it isn't our money that paid him.
-
He is tied with Cowher as my first choices for our team!
-
I have always thought this was stupid. I would personally never do it.
-
No reason we wouldn't have been 4-2 at the least so far into the season and a good bet to win this weekend. Manning is that good. I have always said, he could go to the worst team in the NFL and next season they would have made the playoffs. Tom Brady could go to that team and they would not be any different. Tom is good, but in his system.
I think a few injuries would have been avoided also. The defense being on the field so much, is hurting them. And with line protection that Manning would be giving out, he would have had a few extra seconds this year to throw and the line wouldn't be falling all over themselves and defenders.
-
Manning should get the MVP this year, just because he proved he was!
-
Im not gonna say Jim Caldwell sucks but with the loss of the franchise QB no coach can survive that cause every little thing he does will be scrutinized... and fans dont need to see him without peyton to realize that he's not the best coach.... some of us fans are not contempt with caldwell, i know im not because he doesnt seem like the type of person that a team would wanna win for... but at the same time he has a winning record.
He has a winning record, but I think it is already clear, Manning has a winning record and Caldwell is riding the coat tails.
-
I think the whole idea is dumb stupid ignorant and down right insane he going to risk manning behind a really crappy online a defense that cant stop a cold just so he can hopefully have a win
If Manning was able to play the first game of the season, would you be saying the same thing? Because most likely most of these injuries would have happened still. So should we have shut Manning down, just for these facts? They were just as bad last year? We didn't shut Manning down.
-
Just curious, for all those that think Jim won't or can't be fired? What do you see in him that makes you think he has proven he is a NFL head coach?
-
Umm isnt it the mantra of the colts one game at a time? matter of fact forget that... this plays well into the whole thing about sucking for luck... how would that sound to the players when their owner thinks they are gonna suck so bad that they might have the possibility of getting luck... he could have said that after the season or much later on in the season. I know very well its his team.
That has to do with focusing on the next game, but lets face it, if you aren't looking past that and as already mentioned a few years down the road, you aren't going anywhere. If you live your life, only thinking of what happens tomorrow and don't plan for furture, then you aren't going anywhere. He was asked a question, I think 32 team owners would have answered it the same way, of course they would look at Luck. Doesn't mean they are going to draft him, doesn't mean they don't have faith in their current QB. It is just a question and I think he answered it correctly.
I think if you went and asked each player what they thought, they would say, well, if we have the number one draft pick, we should look at Luck. It only makes sense.
-
Why would anyone want Gruden? Cowher and Fisher would be the top two and Reid is better than Gruden.
-
Curtis hasn't won yet, why are you claiming he is our hero??? I still don't think he is good. He didn't finish this past Sunday and was horrible in the 2nd half. Plus, it was against KC and TB defenses. Not really quality d's if you ask me. Lets see how he does against Cinn.
-
irsay needs to be quiet and worry about this season, its one thing for fans to talk about luck its another when the team owner is talking about as well during the season.. shows what he thinks about his team, instead of talking about luck why doesnt he go try to make a position other than QB better. Nonetheless the colts will not get the chance to get luck that will be the dolphins.
So the owner can't answer a question about next seasons draft? Really? For some reason, I thought that, you know, it is HIS team and not ours.
-
Jeff Fisher...nuff said.
-
Lets see in first season he akes the Colts to the SB
Lets see in second season with a high number of key injuries to key positions he gets the Colts to the playoffs
Lets see in third season with out Peyton he has kept the team in tact and even though they are 0-4 have only had 1 bad blowout.
Yes Caldwell can coach, I doubt any other person would have had any better of a record then Caldwell given the same things to work with.
Really? I think after this year, it is proven not only that Manning did all this stuff, but that Manning also should have been the league MVP for 10 years in a row.
Caldwell didn't do any of this stuff.
-
They did get someone else, that's why Carter is second stringer now and why Rhodes was brought back last year.
Sorry, I didn't just mean another RB...He is wasting a roster spot. I mean, get someone else to fill his spot.
-
His case is that he is a first round draft pick and releasing him would make a couple people in the front office look bad.
That's all i got. I did notice he got on the field other then special teams at least once tonight. He blew a block and got Painter killed.
I think keeping him makes them look even worse! I would respect them more if they cut him and their pick and got someone else.

I think most people have already addressed this, why would we have given the price for him? If you can honestly give me a reason, then I might say you told us so, otherwise, you didn't. Also, you don't know what Palmer would have done on this team. Brady is a stud on the Pats, but if you move him to Miami or the Browns, he might be nothing. You just don't know.
Giving away first draft picks, just for one season and maybe...maybe a playoff birth, is not the answer. Palmer might start for Oakland for 3 or 4 years, if he plays well. Manning will hopefully be back next year, so what a waste.
