  1. True... but he's still young and audacious. I think at least the first few years he will give us some excitement on the move and will test defenders to see if they are really up for tackling him in the open field.
  2. League is not ready. 250 pound ball of muscle running 4.4 at you... there will be business decisions taken by defenders. I guarantee it.
  3. He gonna be like when we trade him :\
  4. Hope he doesn't develop some degenerative condition standing up for hours watching practices with that mangled ankle...
  5. Again not the reason we should have drafted him, but the guy is a freaking superhero in the making. This team was soooooooo BORING last few years. If there is a chance the Colts are appointment viewing any time soon, it's going to be to a huge degree because of Richardson.
  6. Good for him. I always liked him, too. Too bad his career with the Colts got derailed by injuries. People very quickly forgot just how promising even his rookie season looked before his ACL.
  7. If he does, it becomes a real story IMO. Probably will split reps unless it's a shorter practice when they might give all reps to one QB.
  8. I am not one of the people who thinks Taylor has super high value but I also am not one of those that seem to think he's close to worthless. Swift got traded for an early 4th on draft day and he's been considered a bust so far by many. This is with Detroit telegraphing their intent to trade him and not wanting anything to do with him. I see no possible scenario where Taylor goes for anything less unless his injury is really bad(I do NOT think it is, I think he's using it just so he won't practice while waiting for contract). And if he's worth less on the trade market I would much rather just keep him and get comp pick for him. I think people sway way too much to one extreme or the other. The reality is Taylor is a VERY GOOD back who's just 24 and even in this environment of diminished value for RBs I bet there will be at least a few teams that will give you a third just for 1 year rental of him, contract extension notwithstanding. And again... You don't need 30 teams to value him like that. You need one. I think if we wanted to trade him for a 3d we would have no problem finding a taker.
  9. Of all the things to blast Irsay for ... THIS is the one they choose. Although, to be fair it seems like people have Irsay as some sort of an easy target nowadays so they kind of attack him for anything and everything around the Colts. Anything they don't like about what the Colts are doing they put it on Irsay. I still have no idea how and why the current impasse is on Irsay. This is on the football decision-makers and on Taylor and his representation. Irsay had some weird statements , but they are all after % had hit the fan in the talks between Taylor and the Colts about the extension.
  10. I don't think we are getting a first. We might get a second and future conditional of some sort... That's about the max I can see. Christian McCaffrey got 2nd, 3d, 4th and future 5th, but he was already signed to a contract and he's IMO more valuable due to being one of the best passcatching RBs in the league. I think 2nd and Achane(3d) or something of the sort is about the best we can hope for.
  11. Here's PFF at Colts camp. They talk Richardson and other Colts topics, they talk to Lara Overton and Kwity Paye.
  12. This video is from July 30th... so ... the time they met after which the trade request was made public.
  13. Herbert is amazing. I don't know why people knock him. I would love if AR ever reaches the level of his processing and grasp of an NFL offense. A ton of that team's failures have nothing to do with him. QB wins is NOT a real stat. This goes both ways. Yes, QBs have outsized impact on winning, but they are still what? 15-20% of a team's success?
  14. This sounds like they are building an offense for certain someone in specific and they are drilling the whole team into that offense. Good job Steichen...
  15. I know I am just trying to square that with the reports that the Colts are planning on putting him on NFI for back issues.
  16. I think it would be borderline malpractice to have Anthony Richardson and not use his best game breaking abilities.
  17. The other thing I can think of is... what if it's not JT and agent that reported it(maybe they even didn't know anything about it)... what if it's the Colts that found something(on a scan) with his back and are now using it as leverage play? I'm just trying to make sense of it all... but again... this goes against Holder's report that it was Taylor that reported it.
  18. Yeah, IMO Ballard told Taylor and his agent that they don't plan on giving him an extension right now and they want to see how he fits with the new HC and system and with AR(pretty much what he told the media). Then Taylor and agent told Ballard "if you are not paying, then trade me". Then Irsay put oil in the fire with his tweet and the agent tried to get his attention and hoped as last resort that Irsay will push Ballard to offer an extension and the meeting in the bus was the final chance for JT to meet Irsay and see where he stands and Irsay stood with his GM. JT knowing he has no more levers to pull within the organization, leaked the news that he's requested a trade right after the meeting. At least that's the timeline I think makes most sense from what I've heard and read on the situation.
  19. Because they didn't want to escalate it and wanted to try to work through it? Why is it coming out now? Because JT and his agent are escalating and the Colts are reminding them they still have jokers to play(if it's true)... I don't know. Not much makes sense to me right now. I still have no idea how we managed to get to this point in such a short period of time.
  20. They have plausible deniability right now. Noone has filed anything official. They are still not officially claiming Taylor reported back injury or that they found a back injury. If they do and send Taylor to the NFI list, they better have good evidence for it. But if they are lying about it right now, then I think they've crossed a line. I don't like this whole situation, but this to me will be a very low point for this franchise and we(and especially the one who's leaking this information) would deserve all the vitriol directed at them.
