  1. Well, that's thething. As i stated in another post, March 8th to training camp is a lifetime. I'm no doctor, but i would *think* that there is a possibility he could heal after March 8th enough to play again.

If he gets released and heals before camp starts there would be no reason for another team not to sign him.

  2. Na, weathers crappy here. I'll hook up my truck and horse trailer.. grab just what you need and load her up! I'll haul it to Indy for free! haha

No worries. Mayflower trucks going to Indy move very well in snow. ;)

Pagano has been around but this is apparently his first sniff at a head coaching job? I don't scour around a lot but

he has a decent resume, in my opinion. I would still rather have him then give Tressell a shot, though. NFL is a differernt beast.

Different mentalities of athletes and schemes. Just say "no" to Tressell's...

  3. I live in the NY market and see many Giants games. I'm telling you, it is just some kind of intangible that this guy has...but he is a winner!

Each year i think of him being fired but he keeps coming back. He has excellent coordinators and this guy really knows how

to motivate his team. it has gone from yelling at his guys to giving them the "c'mon, let's do better" from the sidelines. He is

a VERY, VERY good coach. This year proves it out.

In my opinion we would be much better with Coughlin then with the candidates i've see thus far for our HC opening.

    My .02

  4. I don't think it's going to be up to Peyton it's going to be up to doctors. They are the ones who are probably going to make the call on this one in terms of Peyton's health.

    True, true.

For the record, I just don't see Jim Irsay allowing him to go anywhere else if he is considered "Dr cleared" for playing again. Irsay will also

be (my guess) figuring in the revolt many ticket holders *may* have if he lets Peyton play for another team. That could adversly affect ticket sales

which could somewhat offset the price of paying him for the current contract.

Worth the gamble? I'm very glad i am not in his position at this point. Truly a tough call.

  5. I believe the real question is, "Can Peyton get healthy enough to still play?"

I think it is better stated "Can Peyton convince Jim Irsay that he can get healthy enough to still play.."

March 8 to the opening of camp is a lifetime. Peyton may not have to prove he is 100% to Irsay

by March 8. He may only have to show him that he has made significant progress in order to be kept on roster.

  6. Good cause I don't have any mascara on know from laughing so hard that I had tears running down my face and they were black tears.

So, that would make you a...

    hold on.....

    It's coming...

    wait for it...

    ...a black eyed Susan??

  7. This just in...Grigson fires himself.

Firing people after a 2-win season is not so telling of his judgement.

I am very interested to see who he hires to lead the team from here forward.

I'm thinking he is looking at one of the assistants that are still in the playoffs?

I haven't heard of any interviews for head coach yet.

May still be too busy conducting "exit interviews" with the coaching staff.

  8. That would have been awesome.

    "What your name kid?"

    "Friday Saturday" LOL

    middle name would be "Night".

I go with the restructure of Free's contract and re-signing Mathis - IF Peyton doesn't return next year.

If Peyton is looking good and returns next year i still want Reggie being Peyton's primary receiver. I want another consistently good year out of Garçon before i trust him in that role.

  9. really...I hope your not as dense as you're coming across. Is it that difficult to undertand that getting the #1 pick is in the best interest of the franchise for 2012 and beyond?

I dont expect the fans at the game to boo "their" team....but I would at least hope that most are smart enough to realize that a win, is not in the best interest of the franchise at this point.

Not loving the personal attack - let's be civil, we both root for the same team.

How are fans supposed to act at the games? Do they sit on their hands when we score?

I agree more with the person that roots for Minny and Miami to win out. That way I'm not rooting against my guys.

  10. To want this team to win is so very short sighted.....

A win next Sunday changes NOTHING -- A loss and the #1 pick sets this team up to either take their next franchise QB or trade that pick for a load of picks to use next year and going forward.

To win and get a #3 pick....gets you a good college player and nothing else.

Anyone who wants this team to do well in 2012 and beyond really should be rooting for them to get the #1 pick next April.

So if next week's game were at LOC instead of at Jax, you would want the fans to boo when we score points? Should every Colt fan wear a Jax jersey?

Wow, i guess those crazy cheering fans Thursday night were all being short sighted? How dare they!!

Sorry, ust trying to understand how i am supposed to root "against" my team??

  11. Sorry folks. I just find it hard to root against this team - especially when they've shown so much spirit these last two.

It's fun to hear/see it happening. It DOES remind me of years past.

As others have said, whatever happens is going to happen, but I can't root against my team. Love them too much!

If we don't get the #1 pick i still bask in the glow of having a 3 game winning streak to end the season. After losing

13 in a row (in the same season no less!) that will be an absolutely AWESOME feeling!!
