  1. Maybe I am that great, joking but I got a kick out of it. Watch me go 8-8 this week now
  2. Cubs blow the Pirates out. Great to get the Arizona stink off of us. Reds lost as well. We are currently in the final playoff spot still. 1 game ahead of the Reds and a half game ahead of the Marlins. Fly the Flag @HOZER, huge win tonight.
  3. I agree, that is why the payout is unreal if the Bears win. I will more than likely stick to my 2 $50 bets, just not sure yet with the games I am going with. Bears winning would be a miracle but just a fun thought going through my head.
  4. That is a hell of a stat. The payout would not be huge if I take the points but if I took the Titans straight up, I would make a little more. I am $200 to the good so far this season. Imagine if I just took that $200 and took the Bears straight up to beat the Chiefs - If I won, that would net me $1,060. If I lost, I would be even for the year.
  5. Yeah I was actually going to post the Marlins lost too but the article states that
  6. I think it will be high scoring, something like 33-30.
  7. I seen your post on the other thread regarding making big money taking the Bears. Yeah if I put $100 on the Bears I could win $530 but I would have to take the Bears straight up with no points in order to get that payout.
  8. Yeah I love Notre Dame's offense and both teams are pretty evenly matched. In college football, HFA is huge when you have 2 top 10 teams playing each other. Notre Dame wins by 3.
  9. Here are my picks for Week 3: Giants 13 49'ers 30 Titans 20 Browns 23 Falcons 23 Lions 27 Saints 17 Packers 27 Broncos 20 Dolphins 30 Chargers 26 Vikings 30 Patriots 19 Jets 17 Bills 27 Commanders 24 Texans 17 Jags 27 Colts 19 Ravens 27 Panthers 16 Seahawks 30 Bears 17 Chiefs 40 Cowboys 35 Cards 6 Steelers 23 Raiders 20 in OT Eagles 24 Bucs 20 Rams 20 Bengals 24 - this could change if Burrow doesn't play. I will note it before gametime. Week 1 = 9-7 Week 2 = 12-4 21-11 overall
  10. I can't stand the Steelers but picked them to win tonight. That is what Mike Tomlin does. He knew going 0-2 is a hole they didn't want. Sad about Chubb, he is out for the year.
  11. After the injuries, Tua looked woozy, I didn't even realize AR was even injured.
  12. He is, I think Notre Dame wins mainly because they are at home. When 2 teams are evenly matched, go with the home team.
  13. Good post. I think the overreaction in here that he may not be durable or have a short career is way too soon. I could overreact to Stroud getting sacked 6 times and say he won't last if he keeps taking those hits every week. He looked like David Carr running around out there. He wasn't injured but it is a matter time if he keeps getting sacked like that every week.
  14. I was being sarcastic about the old and glasses part lol. We will just see how the week plays out. Hey if you get him to pay you a million dollars, you may be on to something
  15. I knew you were playing around because the movie is cheesy. I think I have seen it but it has been like 30 years ago. Rob Lowe is in it if I remember right . Many people may not know this but Lowe is a diehard Colts fan. Has been since the Peyton days.
  16. I have no idea. Just going by what I have been hearing and I watched Tua's (first injury) and AR's play when they got injured. Tua's looked way worse, then again maybe I need glasses, I am getting old. Just thought I would comment on what I heard and give my 2 cents. If some in here think his injury is bad, then that is their opinion, and they can worry about it all week. If some think AR won't be durable because of this, that is their opinion as well. Only time will tell.
  17. Never said it was good that he hit his head on the turf, obviously it isn't good at all but it wasn't near the impact that Tua's was. You hit your head wrong, it can knock you out. After his play happened, AR jumped up and was walking fine and even played another series. Lets hope it doesn't happen again but in this case from what I have been hearing and reading, his injury yesterday isn't that bad. Who knows though, maybe the guy will come out in a neck brace and miss 4 weeks .
  18. I am watching the McAfee Show, he and Schefter both said his concussion is mild. That is the report Schefty got. He also said he was told it was more like whiplash. My guess is he will probably be cleared to play in a few days. If not, not the end of the world. Minshew is good enough to play a game or 2 if need be. He filled in nice yesterday. AR's injury yesterday was more of a fluke than anything, it really doesn't say anything that he isn't going to be durable. The injury was his fault, he should have just ran through the TD run instead of slowing down - he will learn from it. It happened when the back of his head hit the turf because he was relaxed. The NFL is a different animal and players will hit you any chance they get, dirty or not. ESPN actually let McAfee say the S word (instead of crap), they never let that happen
  19. Looking at the D Backs, Reds, and Marlins schedule, I think to be safe we need to go 9-3 to end the season. That should get us in. 9-3 is a tall order though. We will have to play at least good baseball, if not great at times to achieve that. We have the next 6 games in a row where we should win at least 5 of 6 vs the Pirates and Rockies. We finish the last 6 games at Atlanta for 3, then at the Brewers for 3. Atlanta rested some players vs the Marlins because they aren't playing for anything, maybe they will do that against us??
  20. Baseball can drive a fan crazy if your team is in a tight playoff race with 3 other teams. It is an every day grind is why. It is up and down, you have to have major patience to put up with what it is going on. The bad 1 run losses, dealing with bad umps, and so on. I still haven't given up but this doesn't look good right now. This team has been a lot better than I thought though is the bright point, even if we miss the playoffs. I had them going 81-81 before the season. At least we are relevant in September, over half the league isn't. We will see how it plays out, I am hoping for the best.
  21. Arizona wins of course , At this point, I just want to get out of Arizona. So sick of them with the Pham's, Marte's, and Gurriel's, they play like champs against us and average against everyone else. We play the next 6 games at Wrigley, 3 against the Pirates and then 3 against the Rockies. As of now we are tied for the final WildCard spot with the Marlins at 78-72 in 6th. Reds are 78-73. We have lost 5 in a row now. If we can't beat the Pirates and Rockies, then we really don't deserve to get in is the way I look at it. It has been a fun season, but this ending is ugly unless the home cooking gets us back on track. I thought last night's game was a real back breaker. Losing the way we did in 13 innings. We had a lead in extra innings 3 times and couldn't close. That was the worse the loss of the season so far to date. Had we won that, that would have been a huge boost for us.
  22. Marte HR'd, Arizona up 5-2. I have to hand it too ol' Arizona, they play us like the 1998 Yankees. Nothing we can do about it. They have flat out us punked us. Really frustrating to watch this. Marte, Pham, and Gurriel all can hit Homeruns and we can't even get a hit
