  2. Pretty easy to game plan against. No disguised coverages against rookie QBs who would be the best ones to try it against… 57%… Pretty much any NFL level QB is going to be able to read that.
  3. https://www.nfl.com/news/sao-paulo-brazil-to-host-regular-season-game-during-2024-nfl-season Pretty cool for the Brazilians to get to see a live game.
  4. His dominant hand is his good hand. And that hand is injured… On a different note, glad to see Brents practicing.
  5. Don't forget they also injured Manning's neck... And had Greg Williams as their DC from 1997-2000 and apparently had a bounty on Manning during those days. I hate them. I hate them. I hate them.
  6. You think every mistake Ballard has made is the biggest mistake.
  7. That's the interesting part. Allen, Tua and Jackson are the ones who have lately been labelled as injury prone. And yet here we are.
  8. With Herbert going down, I figured we should bring this thread back to forefront... The AFC was supposed to be THE QB conference this season: Rodgers, Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Watson, Herbert, Tua, Lamar, Lawrence (playing hurt), Wilson, Pickett, Richardson, Stroud (concussion), Jones, Garoppolo, Tannehill... Of those 16... Only seven... SEVEN starting QBs are left standing from injuries or being benched or both and only 5 are fully healthy. How has the NFC fared? Prescott, Hurts, Purdy, Stafford (missed time), Murray (missed time), Smith, Goff, Cousins, Jones, Love, Fields (missed time), Mayfield, Ridder (missed time), Carr (missed time), Young (missed time), Howell. That's 11 out of 32 starters out for the year, and 19 out of 32 total who have missed time. What a season.
  9. I don’t think he’s historically bad no. I think the reason we are shotgun so much is precisely because of RPO. It naturally requires a lot of shotgun to give the QB extra time to see what the defenders are doing and make that quick decision. But it also means the RB can’t always get up to full speed and react, hence why it can get blown up behind the line of scrimmage if the QB makes the wrong read and choice. I think RPO has its place in our offense and Steichen has it as his flavor, but I’m hoping next season we’ll see Richardson continue to improve his reads and maybe mix it up more. We’ll see.
  10. I would like to see more runs and play action passes. And to stay away from handing the ball off in shotgun formation. I understand Peyton did it often but that was when the pass was the major threat…
  11. Yeah that’s fair. Saying it’s honorable was probably the wrong phrase. Just good business is probably a better one.
  12. I will say this: Would the team be better with Gillmore? Absolutely 100%. Would I have been happy had we kept Gillmore? Absolutely! But we didn’t.
  13. Bobby is playing so good this year for the Giants. I’m happy for him
  14. Hard to argue that. He's at least one of the greatest front men of all time. So iconic.
  15. I don’t think I’ve ever looked at our players and went “that guy’s a bum”. Maybe thought out loud for someone being stupid for doing something stupid, but not a bum in the sense that they flat out suck. And that’s probably because a lot of us know what it feels like to get hit… and if it feels like that in high school and college… sheesh… I can only imagine what it’s like against world class athletes… every weekend… Excuse me while I go ice my old bruises…
  16. I feel the same way. Just one more year with him and who knows what 2021 would’ve looked like.
  17. He’s a cool kid. I really hope he can stay healthy for the playoffs. It’s more fun when the teams are at full strength.
  18. It’s not really Ballard’s MO to hold players hostage. Stephon wanted out of a rebuild and we responded by doing the honorable thing.
  19. Being it’s a Saturday game that’s one less extra day. But it’s still quite possible he plays it looks like.
  20. Every game for all of these teams is now a must win. Expect some chaos as teams desperately try to get a game ahead of the pack. Cowboys could be flying a bit too high after beating the Eagles.
  21. The way a lot of players around the NFL are reacting is that he was trying to defend Toney and show a little emotion to fire up the locker room. It just might pay off. Mahomes and Reid can never be counted out, and even at 5 losses they still have a chance at the 1 seed technically.
  22. My Canadian friend, do you not see how it could look a little weird and even narcissistic when you say you’ve been “waiting for this game” so you can prove you’re right? Take @Restinpeacesweetchloe for example. All week last week she was saying this could be a troublesome game and laid out the reasons for why. She did this because she cared about our chances of winning, not because she wanted to be right. The truth is always somewhere in the middle. We’re not as bad or as good as we look at the moment. Ballard isn’t perfect and he’s certainly to blame for Indy’s struggles. But he’s here for the future and we have to live with it.
  23. I love that meme! And sadly I have more and more students each year who don’t get it. I must continue to educate the masses.
  24. Yep. They spent significant resources on the trenches this past season for both sides of the ball. What we’re seeing is that construction now coming into fruition.
